I had come to this location a few times because I really like the collectibles but the workers are very unprofessional. One time I had been waiting for FNAF plushies but when I noticed they were finally out, a worker grabbed every single one(about 6) and didn't leave any for us. Not to mention how they didn't get back in stock. I've tried getting help from this worker and I believe her name is Amanda, she seemed to be talking to either another coworker or friend??? Every... single... time. I come into this BoxLunch hoping that customer service gets better, but it never does. I can understand that BoxLunch's policies can be a little rough around the edges at times (which is out of the rep's hands)... I can understand that the store is unbelievably cramped due to its product over space ratio... but COME ON... you can be a little more polite to customers. I'm always met with Gen Z kids that really don't care about earning their paycheck. There was one person today that didn't want to help because they had 30 seconds left on their break, and the other that seemed like I was bothering them. They don't want to be there, and they don't care. I was just treated like a little child; I was talked over while I was trying to explain to what I needed, and the condescending tone on this woman was ridiculous. At the end, I just gave up and left. I only keep coming back because this is the closest BoxLunch that works for us (the Stockton crew is so much more friendly and warm, but time and distance don't always allow us to get out there). I'll keep coming back hoping it gets better... but I won't hold my breath. read more

First of all, I love their merchandise!!! Disney, Loungefly, Hello Kitty, The T.V. show Friends... Cuteness galore!! Why the low review then?? I am frustrated by their Box Lunch money. It seems like a waste of time. Unlike other stores where you can actually utilize your reward "cash" on almost anything. Here, you CANNOT!! I tried so hard to find items that I could purchase that I enjoy, and that qualify for the Box Lunch money I earned! I have to spend 120 dollars to receive 60 dollars (50%) "free" However, like I said most of their best items do not qualify. Disney, Loungefly, you know the good stuff you want to buy. I walked in and was instantly greeted. Mikayla (spelling) was super pleasant. Informed me of potential discounts and even saw if I had any money on my box lunch account. I was simply window shopping but the service was great. They dad a lot of deals. Specifically BOGO half off apparel and 50% off clearance. read more

I was so excited when I checked the BoxLunch website and realized they had one in Modesto! Yay! The actual store was a disappointment. The staff seemed really nice so it wasn't them. But I only found one shirt that came extra large shirt and another shirt that I was interested in that was a large. I wear a large in men's (maybe a medium). I did not ask for help from sales and I only looked at about 8 shirts that caught my eye. If it has just been one or two tops I would've thought nothing of it. But honestly, asking for several sizes bigger multiple times is just a little cringy. The sweatshirt had a bigger size. But if this is the place I was using for last minute fan gear (going to Disneyland or a gift). I would have to skip. I should've taken pictures for proof. They had plenty of medium and small so I guess if you're those sizes. I think I'll stick to ordering online. The lounge fly stock seemed okay. Hopefully their overall stocking improves. read more

This shop stocks many similar items that you would find at any Hot Topic location, but their main focus is Disney and animated themed merchandise. They have a lot of cool products on their shelves, I found a few interesting lunch bags for cheap and have even been able to find a few Rick and Morty collectibles to add to my display case. I like quite a few things about this place, but my favorite area is their $10 and under bin, my son tends to gravitate towards there, as he is always able to find at least 2-3 Funko mystery figures and miniatures to add to his vinyl stockpile. read more

So I been here several times and I have to say I love it, fun gifts for all kinds of occasions. I come in every time I go to the mall, but I docked a star for one reason, same reason the other reviews did, the employees are too customer friendly. They'll pop in on you like every 2 min, gets bothersome but I know retail, they're just doing their job. So check it out, in my opinion its the better hot topic. read more

Let me start by saying I tried to stay home and order, but the site wouldn't let me do that for my entire order. The employees don't care if you're handicapped or disabled as I was covered the best I could and doing more than the malls standards, they want you out. When I was helped, it was outside the store. So unless everyone inside is sick and it's safer at the door, I don't know why I was treated so poorly after I told them my situation. read more

I love coming here for random stuff since it's so cute. however, yesterday that kid with the curly hair wouldn't stop following me and my boyfriend. Mind you, we were just browsing around the back. This worker literally stood behind us watching us until we left the store. There came a moment where I was towards the register and he still continued to follow us while acting as if he was reorganizing some plush toy lol... won't be back and will spread the word. I like this store because they have a lot of cute stuff, however they have terrible customer service. Every girl that works there has always been rude. They're just not nice. Have not had any positive experiences there, and I actually do frequent there relatively often. But dread having to interact with the workers. I have stood at the register while two girls acted like they didn't see me as they continued their conversation. When you pick up your online orders, they throw your box up on the counter. Everything they do for you they act as if it's the hardest thing in the world. I work in customer service and that's not how you treat customers.
