However, after only about 6 weeks I lost body fat, gained muscle and the constant back and shoulder pain I'd been dealing with for years is gone. I was visiting the area and wanted to keep up with my boxing training, so I looked for a legitimate…read moreboxing gym--one that actually trains fighters, not a commercial fitness or weight-loss boxing class. I came across Relentless Boxing, saw that the owner and coach, Arturo, is a former professional boxer, and that the gym actively trains and competes fighters. Everything looked solid, so I reached out to set up training sessions. Coach Arturo is an excellent teacher. He was patient with my learning process and beginner-level gaps, explained things clearly, and created a welcoming environment from the start. Each session was enjoyable and productive, and he gave me specific drills and exercises I could work on independently to improve my weaknesses. I told him footwork was my biggest area of concern, and he delivered exactly what I was looking for in both coaching and instruction. Don't feel intimidated by the fact that this is a real fighter's gym. If you're serious about learning proper boxing skills and technique, this is a great place to train. Come in with a positive mindset, be respectful and committed to learning, and Coach Arturo will genuinely help you progress toward your goals. 1000% recommend this gym for any level of boxing.

Good boxing conditioning gym!…read more For someone who is trying to get into boxing with a huge focuse on cardio, this is the studio for you! Depending on the day and time, there are different things you can do; conditioning, boxing, kids boxing, open gym, spar with others in the ring. Pros: - Coaches are helpful, supportive, and encouraging - Staff are friendly - Lots of parking - Good size gym and schedule whether you want to go for open gym and lift weights or if you want to do some boxing conditioning/technique work - Last class runs pretty late on the weekday Cons: - Coaches have not that much ability to focus on you because the class can get big, Esp if you're a newer boxer, I feel like it's hard to grasp the right technique without having consistent readjustments. Therefore building bad habits. But don't be afraid to ask for pointers. The coaches are always happy to help you. - Closed super early on Saturday and not open on Sundays Overall, super helpful staff and coaches! I'm excited to see my growth boxing journey here! Thanks for always making me feel welcomed.

I have a pretty atypical schedule, so having a gym where I can work out between 8-12 is really important to me. The 8:30 AM classes have been perfect and make it so much easier for me to stay consistent. As a woman, I especially love the women's classes, but I've felt just as comfortable in the regular classes. I've never walked into a class and felt like I didn't belong. The environment has always been welcoming, accepting, and encouraging, regardless of experience level. One experience really stood out to me. We were doing a game/drill in class and I was paired with people who were much more experienced boxers than I am. I knew I was probably going to lose and I was honestly intimidated and didn't really want to participate. Instead of making me feel out of place, everyone was incredibly encouraging and made me want to jump in and try anyway. I think that says a lot about the culture here. I also love that every coach brings something different. They each have their own coaching style, personality, and music, so the classes never feel repetitive. You can come several times a week and still have a different experience each time. And the workouts are no joke! When I track classes on my Apple Watch, I'm typically burning around 400-500 calories, and I always leave feeling like I got a great workout. It's been such a fun way to get in better shape while also actually learning boxing. If you're interested in boxing but feel intimidated because you're new or don't consider yourself a "boxer," I would absolutely recommend giving this place a try. Three months in, I'm really glad I did.

Dark Horse has taught me the essence of combat in its purest form: strengthening the mind, learning how to face fear instead of being controlled by it, and understanding how to harness aggression with discipline and purpose. What I've learned here goes far beyond fighting. It has changed the way I carry myself, the way I respond to adversity, and the way I understand my own mind. But perhaps most importantly, Dark Horse is a place where the judged come to be accepted. It's a place where people from different walks of life can leave the weight of the outside world at the door and find belonging through shared struggle, discipline, and growth. Dark Horse isn't simply a place where I train. For me, it holds the same significance as a place of spiritual practice
