The fact that they have $20 racks of pork ribs togo, "sold cold n ready to go" on the weekends is epic. As a patron of Hutchins in McKinney when I lived there I can tell you that Rust has better ribs and brisket. It is consistently on point. My only spank on em is that their coleslaw needs salt. I get it. I order the coleslaw side... They make it ready as a menu ingredient, adding it to sammiches and dropping chopped meats on a boat of it etc. It compliments the meats as a party in the mouth full. As a side I add salt and pepper to it. I like their sammiches. "The sibling" I recommend, and all the brisket and ribs.

Only thing I can suggest that would make this a six star rating, is if they could add authentic Dutch fries with mayo and sour meat to the already delicious menu. Perhaps some pickled herring. And order it from the fatty end. it's seriously quite good. Sausage is next, including some that are house made. rods are so-so, though I'll bet they could make them better if they ditched the too-sweet Bodacious rub. One if the two best Q places in the area.

This was the second stop on a four joint run for me and a buddy, and we're glad we dropped in. It's…read moregot a bit of a converted Dairy Queen feel to the seating and decor, but definitely still in the vein of a proper country BBQ joint. One of the owners was working the register and took our order. We tried three meats, plus a deviled egg with brisket. First up was crawfish boudin, which was a first for me. It was fairly bright yellow in color, and while it did feature some tasty crawfish bits, it was really heavy on the rice. I'd prefer a little higher meat ratio, but it was a serviceable dish. Brisket (off the fatty end) was moist and tender, but was a little lacking in smoke. Again, a very serviceable meat. The best of the meats here, and one of the best in our four stops, was the outstanding pork steak. Cut from the shoulder, it had a nice, slightly sweet rub, good smoke, and was just perfect on texture. This was a very nice piece of meat, and a must-have if it's on the menu. Finally, the deviled egg was a mustard heavy affair with chopped brisket, and it was a nice side dish on a day that we didn't have many of them. Overall, a nice visit, but that pork steak - yum. Definitely try it!

Long story short this place has everything you want except maybe Beef Ribs. The sides were awesome, I picked up some roasted squash and roasted potatoes. Very good. And went with a 3 meat plate 25.99. With Taxes and everything the tab came out to about 29.00+. Not bad, considering something like this out in Los Angeles would probably set you back close to 40.00. The baby back ribs were tender and retained most of its moisture, AAA. Brisket was alright, dries out really easily, preferred even thinner cut, but had a decent fat to lean meat marbling. Last meat option, I went with Spicy Sausages. It was infused with cheddar, and in all honesty, probably should have went with a slice of ham or pulled pork. Overall a pretty decent place for meat lovers. Raw onions and BBQ sauce are AYCE. This be my third time ordering here over the past 2 years driving cross country. Overall a solid stop for a fast casual eatery with Southern flare. Shout-out to the young Southern gentleman with the slick back haircut serving everyone. Very well mannered, super polite, courteous, professional, and charismatic. Excellent crew.

Now the regular brisket it was necessarily dry...but it just wasn't the fatty lusciousness I'm use to eating. When you walk in the people behind the counter were really nice and actually SPOKE! Now being from East Texas that's what I'm use to and miss about people. Living in the DMV area now these folks can't be really standoffish and that's why I can't wait to go back soon...but I digress. I really wanted to try the turkey but it was already sold out by the time I made it there. So make sure you come early to try it.
