Located in historic Fredericksburg, this shop is hidden among several antique and vintage stores so if you are into that type of thing you can kill several birds with one stone. Children's wear is my love language so when I walked in and found several well organized racks dedicated to children's clothing I was immediately in love. I only had ten minutes to browse before heading home but in those ten minutes I was able to find an entire collection of Beaufort Bonnet items in pristine condition. Even better, they rung up an extra 65% off so I was able to get six items for less than the price of one item. I briefly had a chance to checkout the other racks but I found a whole selection of designer women's stuff with brands like Trina Turk and Lilly Pulitizer. If you ever want to dress like a Southern belle but are on a budget -- this is your spot! Also, the shop people are super, super nice which is a huge added plus.

I went to Aspetto with nothing but an idea - take these department issued pants, make them out of something light weight and comfortable, put the pockets in better spots, and build something to support a drop-down holster. Oh, yeah - and I want an extra handcuff pocket somewhere. I was asking for a LOT. A little while later, I had it all. And more. The pants they made fit me perfectly, support a drop-down holster, and even have some extra pockets for life's necessities (lip balm, a flashlight, etc.). I happen to think their prices are reasonable. For less than the cost of a brand new leather jacket, I'm wearing a pair of trousers which were designed, researched and developed, and built - from scratch. Someone said they weren't "terribly impressed for the money," and I'm curious as to his expectations. You don't get this level of customization or craftsmanship inexpensively, and "for the money" I couldn't be more impressed. As to communication, when I was trying to find a place to make my pants (several places said 'it simply can't be done') I stumbled on Aspetto's website. About eleven at night, a chat window opened and asked if I needed help. A short while later I was chatting with one of the owners, and the proverbial ball was rolling. You're not going to find a better custom clothing experience, especially for a non-traditional item. Nor are you going to find a better value for such a thing.

Some items can be kind of pricey, but others are more than fair, especially for everyday uniform, the daily wear and tear on 5.11 pants holds up pretty good. The two staff members who've assisted me in this store were very helpful, honest, and knowledgeable about the products available. Ladies, don't be afraid to shop in the "men's" section if your hips don't lie. The meridian pants are my favorite!

We toured the store for about 25 minutes... I wanted to buy two dresses for my daughter but we couldn't find an employee. We were the only two people in the store, not sure where anyone else was. Right before we left an employee came out of the back to stock . At first we gave a three star just because of the products... but now I am saying 5 stars.. I would give six but it only goes to five. My daughter wanted to go see the store I had posted about. We went back with me rolling my eyes at my husband... I am so glad we did!! Under a new MANGER :) who was on the floor working with her Assistant Manger with several new employees all on the front counter, stocking and help customers! My daughter did some shopping w/ their buy one get one half off deal :) and we even added an extra necklace to match their dresses (thanks for the advice ;) ) we are going back in today and I am hoping to see the same! Lots of vintage decor and items for sale. The space is quite nice offering a spiral stairwell that takes you to a bin full of hats, kids clothes and VHS tapes. The store overall seems a little cluttered and unorganized but if you have the time to search every nook and cranny this could be your jam! Service was friendly, and the value was great when compared to other thrift stores in the area.
