We stumbled upon the unassuming illini mattress and were blown away by Ed's knowledge! He made us try each mattress and helped us find one that was the best fit for us. He was really kind, didnt try to upsell us and was an overall pleasure to work with. Delivery was quick and easy peasy. 5 years on, we are still thrilled with our "new" mattress and are going back to Illini Mattress to buy a mattress for our guest bedroom.

What I received was not super soft, it was the complete extreme and is a super hard mattress. I had loved the previous two mattresses that I had purchased from Bender's. They were like sleeping on a cloud. But this mattress is so terrible I wake up every morning with so much pain in my low back, literally have to crawl out of bed and am numb from my shoulder down to my fingers. I would love to have this reconciled and a new mattress that should be the one I ordered. It doesn't help that I paid almost $2,000 for a mattress that is so terrible.

The old mattress became very lop-sided and would not resume it's original contour after turning. Previous to moving, my wife and I had slept on a high-quality Sterns & Foster for over 25 years. The Sterns & Foster was an excellent mattress, but it was a queen-sized model and too large for my new apartment. Bender has a range of high-quality innerspring mattresses and I selected one that had features like the Sterns & Foster. Bender has models with varying degrees of firmness. I selected a model near the upper end of firmness, and I'm happy with it. The price was reasonable, considering the quality of construction. Bender offers a satisfaction guarantee. They will substitute a different model if the firmness or quality of the mattress is unsatisfactory. The new mattress was delivered on the promised day, and the delivery men hauled away the old mattress at no extra charge. I'm very satisfied with the firmness and the quality of the new mattress and the service I've received.

As mention before they are a distributor for many different brands so you can order from the website for pieces they don't have in stock. We were in a market for a futon and saw a solid steel frame with mattress for 260+. Upstairs they have whole bedroom sets along with dining tables. The guy behind the desk was also quite friendly and was able to answer any questions. I walked around while my MIL spoke to her and found several options that she could've shown to us. We asked about some samples of leather finishes and colors that were on display and were told that those particular options may not be available. That struck me as odd. Why were they on display then? Walking around the store, I noticed several leaks in their ceiling with buckets precariously placed to catch the drips. I also saw several desks/work areas in severe disarray. That was extremely off-putting. I might visit just to check out the clearance items, but nothing more.

It is not as high end as macy's and sort of in line with Value City furniture but maybe slightly less. There was no sales person on the floor the day I visited which I didn't mind. A lot of the sofas were either vinyl or cloth. No real high quality leather. They had a large mattress selection, but you can't really test the mattresses as they were stacked and in packages. The end tables were consistent of wood that had some sort of laminate that would chip easily. I do not care for this type of table. I did not end up making a purchase this day. If you want inexpensive furniture maybe this will be a location to visit.
