I recently hired RB Masonry to completely redo the front and back steps at our home in Ocean City,…read moreNew Jersey, using bluestone and brick, and I honestly could not be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Ryan was professional, punctual, flexible, and extremely easy to work with throughout the entire project. As a homeowner who understands a bit about masonry work and what separates an average job from a truly excellent one, I was especially impressed by his craftsmanship and attention to detail. The finished steps look fantastic--solid, precise, and beautifully proportioned--and they dramatically improved both the appearance and durability of our entryways. One thing that really stood out was how efficiently RB Masonry completed the work. The project moved quickly and smoothly and was finished well ahead of schedule without sacrificing quality. That's rare and very much appreciated. Ryan is also a terrific communicator. He kept me informed at every stage, explained options clearly, and made thoughtful recommendations that improved the overall design. His creativity and deep understanding of masonry really show in the final result--the bluestone and brick combination looks sharp, balanced, and perfectly suited to the house. Just as important, the pricing was fair and reasonable for the quality of workmanship delivered. It's clear Ryan takes pride in doing things the right way, not the rushed way. If you're looking for a skilled, reliable mason in the Ocean City area, I highly recommend RB Masonry. Ryan's expertise, professionalism, and craftsmanship made this an easy and positive experience from beginning to end. I would use RB Masonry again in an instant.

I hired Michael, doing business as Jersey Shore Handy Heroes LLC, for painting, carpet removal,…read morevinyl plank flooring, light fixtures, interior doors, a kitchen fan, and a small shelf installation. We signed a contract on September 16, 2025, paid $10,000 to begin the project, and were told the work would take approximately 7-10 days. In my experience, the project was not completed within that timeframe. After several months, major items remained unfinished, including flooring, doors, closet hardware, and other agreed-upon work. Some painting was incomplete or, in my opinion, poorly finished, and materials and equipment were left behind at the property. We ultimately had to complete or hire others to complete much of the remaining work ourselves, including carpet removal, flooring, electrical work, painting, and door installation. I also incurred additional inconvenience and expense related to storing our belongings while the project remained unfinished. Based on my experience, I would not hire this company again.

Salesman this time upsold me new construction windows and I was leaving in a few days for a month so I wanted ot get them ordered. I painted them prior to installation. The installation was horrific - tiny cracks in the plaster now large requiring patching, pieces of plaster ripped off the wall requiring patching and painting entire walls. But the worst was the excessive and beyond shoddy caulking. I've never seen caulking so poorly done. Matera Bldrs.had completely redone my kitchen 9 years ago and the work, including caulking was excellent. This was appaling. I sent photos to Bob and he tried to defend work he knew was indefensible. He sent someone to try to fix some of the caulk but it was no better and I sent photos to Bob again. My woodwork is a different color then the walls and now there were no right angles, making painting sloppy. Bob and workers acknowledge that I am a good painter but this was impossble. Bob did discount the work some and did eventually apologize but that didn't help what was fairly pristine before the installation. They treated my $13,000 investment casually and carelessly. It's clear they can't get or keep skilled workers. First photo is windows before installation. Have many more after
