We recently completed a project with Murphy's Fence (Back Fence, Outdoor Shower, Front Door…read moreRailing, and Existing Gate Repair) and I'd like to share our experience. Short Story: If you're considering any work like this, RUN, don't WALK and contact Murphy's right away with confidence that you will end up with a quality product combined with excellent workmanship Longer Story: Murphy's is facing the same challenges as many other businesses, demand can be unpredictably high and resources can be unpredictably thin at times (and don't even get me started on the impact of Mother Nature). Projects can be challenging and ours had a couple of bumps in the road, but here's what made the project work. Phil was our "boots on the ground" liaison providing the key contact (text, phone and face-to-face when needed) to communicate our specs and needs and shepherd it through the Murphy process. When it came to back-office support, Jennifer was the friendly, empathetic and capable soul that was there for us when needed it. Credit to Ryan as he leads Phil, Jennifer and the entire Murphy's team herding the cats to get the job done, and that what has earned this positive rating - and with a career in customer care, good ratings don't come easy from me - I'm not an easy A.

I had a simple tile shower floor replacement/install contracted by Greg. Seemed like a nice guy…read moreoffering a fair price. I would purchase the tile and he would install. He came right away and began the installation on June 17. During the install I expressed concern about the base for the tile on June18. Greg assured me it was fine and if there was an issue he would return and correct any issue; on his dime. On July 7, I contacted Greg indicating the tile was moving and grout was cracking. He said he would come and fix. That was more than a month ago. He indicated he would come by but never did, and has not. I originally posted a review two days ago. I received an immediate text from Greg, asking to remove the negative review and he would return my cash. This never happened. Asking contractors to set proper expectations and follow through on their word is not being impatient. Expecting contractors to be honest in their words and deeds is not calling them a liar. Sad its been two months and I do not have my shower improvement and Greg has not expanded his business with a customer who believed in him. Hopefully, I can recover my $1500 through the yelp guarantee. This game of tag is over.

First time, I am actually giving a 1- star review. Reason…read morefor this 1- star review is customer service etiquette. Sorry, but, all businesses start from there. If something as simple as this cannot be a good experience to start off, then look at it as a red flag. Danny and I made contact via messenger. I asked him if he serviced the area as to where the job is located and he replied he was from there. He made an appt for the afternoon on a Tuesday. The day after, I messaged him and asked if he came by, since I did not receive an estimate via email. He eventually replied, no. He made another appt approx a couple of days for 9am. Again,a no show and no form of contact. I sent him a text and messaged him that I do not need his so called business. No reply of apology, nothing. Did not surprise me.
