I had have 10 Andersen windows installed previously, some Woodwright which I stained and some 400…read moreseries which I painted to match woodwork. All replacement. Matera installed some of them. Salesman this time upsold me new construction windows and I was leaving in a few days for a month so I wanted ot get them ordered. I painted them prior to installation. The installation was horrific - tiny cracks in the plaster now large requiring patching, pieces of plaster ripped off the wall requiring patching and painting entire walls. But the worst was the excessive and beyond shoddy caulking. I've never seen caulking so poorly done. Matera Bldrs.had completely redone my kitchen 9 years ago and the work, including caulking was excellent. This was appaling. I sent photos to Bob and he tried to defend work he knew was indefensible. He sent someone to try to fix some of the caulk but it was no better and I sent photos to Bob again. My woodwork is a different color then the walls and now there were no right angles, making painting sloppy. Bob and workers acknowledge that I am a good painter but this was impossble. Bob did discount the work some and did eventually apologize but that didn't help what was fairly pristine before the installation. They treated my $13,000 investment casually and carelessly. Joe and his team did a great job suggesting design tweaks to our original ideas. The end result was a kitchen that I still think of as "new," and love cooking in every day. This spring we hired G. Sieri again to do a remodel of our bathroom: ripped out the tub to add a walk-in shower, redo cracked drywall from when we lifted our house eight years ago, and add some lights. Again, we were working with a small footprint and Joe was able to help us plan our design. At every stage of both of our remodel jobs Joe and his crew were available, responsive, and dependable. Would not use these guys ever again!…read more Russ Pagano did a $70k decking job for us for us in Sea Isle and it took them 8 months what should have been a 3 month project. The houses were not kept up on the outside was a mess during construction. They damaged some of our exterior finishes and when we brought this up, it was always a denial. A couple weeks after they finished the project, we discovered at our sliding glass door, double pain glass one exterior pain had been broken and his guys removed the glass meticulously so we wouldn't notice it. I brought this to his attention and when Russ came out to look at it he told us his construction workers said he didn't do it so he has to believe him and refused to accept responsibility even though he personally wasn't there. He would not accept accountability for a $750 glass repair on a $70,000 deck project. They also tried to pull a fast one on us and ordered a less expensive decking which we caught, as we happened to see it. Overall decks came out nice, but he is dishonest and not trustworthy.

Began sanding the wrong exterior door and just left it. Then painted the correct door but the wrong color, left back deck sliding door open and forgot to work on that area and had to come back. More importantly Russ didn't repair our fiberglass decks correctly which has now in turn cost more money to repair. Have had 3 different fiberglass companies over to provide estimates and all said the materials used were inferior and all smiled when they asked us who did the work and when told Russ they All essentially said "no surprise."
