When we asked them to remove us from their schedule (the next available time was two months away) we were told they would keep 25% of our deposit (totaling more than $1200) for "administrative fees" and "scheduling inconvenience." The only scheduling inconvenience was ours, as it was OC Fiberglass the cancelled on us twice. The second time the cancelled we were informed one business day from the scheduled first day of work - a week we had not rented, which cost us $2500 in missed revenue. (Add that to the total cost.) The only argument they had to keep our deposit money was "it's in the contract." We agreed that they were going to keep our money simply because they could, not because it was the right thing to do. Ethically, after stringing us along for months, it's deplorable to keep our money just because "it's in the contract." OC Fiberglass lost not a single day's work due to our change, but they made a point that keeping our money was more important to them then providing an empathetic customer service policy. Note: we have 1900 square feet of deck on our own home, next door to the rental. Guess who won't be doing that repair work. If you need home repair, don't just search for price, look for decent, ethical, community-minded businesses. OC Fiberglass ain't one of them.

When contacted Paul Stitler said things just happen and I would just have to get someone to repair the damage (at my expense). Two neighbors who recently had window replacement confirmed that their installers took care of any problems and left them with perfect installations.
