Incredible service. Best burger I've had ever. We also had the charcuterie plate and the crab hush puppies great beyond bourbons too, the Martini was so perfectly dirty.

Ribeye 12 oz.

This was a busy spot for a Tuesday. The staff were friendly and got us waters right away. They have a ton of bourbon options, which was nice. My old fashioned was very good so I had to order two. The bar and booths are pretty close together, but not overly crowded where you couldn't have a conversation. I ordered the 12oz. Ribeye and it was cooked as ordered. However, the steak was served lukewarm. I wanted to say something to the staff, but the overall experience was good and I didn't want to make a complaint. If not for that, I would have given more stars. Overall good experience and would return.

Cajun Fries and Blue Crab Hushpuppies
Amanda M.

Randomly stopped on after a show at the Kroger center and the food and service was amazing! We grabbed at table outside in front of the restaurant to enjoy the nice weather! We had a typical girl diner full of appetizers, we had the Cajun fries and Crab Hushpuppies! We also shared an appetizer the Etoufee (dk if i spelled that right) but everything was delicious. The Etoufee was nice and spicy and full of that Cajun flavor, grab your water if you can't handle it!! Love the fries and the hush puppies were good too but i did expect to taste pieces of crab meat in them. I highly recommend Yayas Hurricane, you can only get 2 of them!

Food was really good. I got the hush puppies and the gumbo. The gumbo was full of flavor and spices. The hush puppies were crispy and had this sauce that was a little sweet. The waiter recommended this tequila passion fruit cocktail that was actually a 10/10. The ambiance is really cool and had loads of an alcohol collection.

The food was good. The service was good. Ambiance was very nice. Chilled next door till table was ready.

My cousin and I stopped by here after dinner for a few drinks. Our waiter was great. He was very attentive and offered us some recommendations for drinks. Both of my drinks were recommended by him. The atmosphere was pretty laid back and cool. Will return for sure.

Best bourbon selection in the south ! Food was amazing for restaurant week. Never had a better espresso martini .

So this place has a twist on some Louisiana dishes (hint the name) and being a Louisiana girl it caught my attention. First, the hurricane. While not the traditional ingredient list you would see in a Pats hurricane, the drink was delicious and set the tone for the meal. I'll start with my con, the boudin. It was not my cup of tea but may be yours. I just wasn't a fan of it sitting in the juice from the greens or the sauce on top. The other dishes I tried were great through. It's a good restaurant if you're looking for something near downtown that has a different scene from pizza and burgers.

Lamb burger with upgraded truffle parm fries

I'd visited this spot once a few years ago for an office happy hour and had a good experience, so I decided to stop by for dinner and drinks after a long week. I sat at the bar and enjoyed some Crown and acranverry juice while waiting for my lamb burger, which was great amd prepared exactly as i ordered it. The bartenders were friendly and skilled in their drink making. Folks on either side of me ordered the etoufee, which looked great, so I decided to order one to go. I expected the portion to be a bit bigger, but it was delicious when I ate it.

Last time I was in Columbia, wanted to try this place but didn't cause it was the weekend of an SC game. This time in Columbia I tried it. The food was really good. The Blue Crab Cakes were good. The service was good. I sat at the bar. The bar was busy, but the bartenders did a good job of tending to everyone. Will be coming back.

I've always heard great things about this restaurant and finally decided to stop in for dinner. When you walk in you can tell it's a laid back vibe. If you like bourbon you'll definitely like this place. I started with an old fashioned and the boudin balls. The old fashioned was good. Boudin balls were flavorful. For entree had the chicken sandwich with a side of red beans and rice. The chicken sandwich had a good balance of sweet and spicy and the pimento cheese was a nice complement to the sandwich. Service was great. I would definitely return

Heyyyyyyyy you guyyyyyyys! Great place, we sat at the bar, great service, we had the hush puppies they were good. We then shared a lamb burger and side salad ads shrimp. Would def go back and this place is no secret it filled up pretty quick. Thanks SC for a good night! Let's eat!

CHICKEN-FRIED QUAIL
Jon L.

The food was a huge letdown. The service was good, but my ribeye steak was flavorless and overdone. The chicken fried quail was different, but all the flavor was in the breading. The meat had zero flavor. The cocktails, felt very average. Nothing really stood out besides the location. I wouldn't come back when I can get a much better steak at Cracker Barrel.

Sat at bar for 10 min and multiple servers passed but did not greet or acknowledge. I think that's kind of rude, you know?

Drinks are solid. Long bar with great service. Food is solid but all similar flavors (Cajun/ low country). Extensive Bourbon list.

Ask the Community - Bourbon

Is bourbon family friendly?

Sure, but not like a "we have a kid's menu and high chairs" sort of place. It is a whiskey bar, but children are welcome.

Does Bourbon stop serving food at a certain time?

11 on weekdays and 12 on Friday and Saturday

Are dogs allowed?

No. Not inside. There are tables outside tho, so maybe that's the best opinion for you if you wanna bring your dogs. However, those tables are limited.

Is there a happy hour menu?

Well, they do offer a beer, burger and a shot for $12 Tuesday through Saturday which is sort of a Happy Hour special. That's $2 more than previously answered from 2018.

Do they take reservations?

No, Bourbon of Columbia SC does not take reservations - it's first come first serve.

Is this place good for Happy Hour , if not others near?

They do a great happy hour deal from 4:00-6:00 PM. $10 for a shot of Bulleit Bourbon, a burger, and a beer of your choice. Tough to beat.

The restaurant is unique on the inside and gives a somewhat hole-in-the-wall bar vibe (but cleaner). During the day time, I would say it is family friendly, but at night it can definitely get rowdier so go at your own risk, it is called Whiskey Bar after all. The burgers are very good and are cooked very well with lots of options for customization. I always go for the classic WB(K) burger with Swiss cheese and pickles. The waffle fries are always so crisp and yummy. The same goes for the potstickers as an appetizer. Even their other burger combos that seem strange are actually pretty good if you are into that type of burger. The service is always pretty good. Friendly staff that was quick. Not a long wait on a Tuesday night, but have definitely waited before on a Friday or Saturday. They have a first come, first serve bar as well. The tables can be somewhat cramped depending on where you are sat and it is definitely not an accessible place as the entrance is crammed and all the tables are high tops on the inside, the outside is better with low top tables and benches. The Diet Coke was okay. A little syrupy so their ratio on the fountain soda machine must be a little off. Still good, but I have had better. Overall, one of the best burger restaurants in Augusta and most stop place in the area!

We started with the charcuterie board, and it was absolutely delicious -- a beautiful spread with a great variety of meats, cheeses, and accompaniments. Juicy, full of flavor, and served with crispy fries that disappeared fast. To top it all off, they surprised us with a birthday dessert that truly made the night extra special. The presentation was fun and festive, and everything tasted amazing. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail was just right. Everything was perfect from start to finish. After driving 15 hours on March 21, 2026, my husband and I were genuinely excited to try this place and planned to take our food back to the hotel. Unfortunately, the experience started off poorly and never really recovered. First, parking is extremely limited out front, which is frustrating when you're tired and just want a quick pickup. Inside, things only got worse. The front-of-house staff was shockingly unprofessional. The employee helping us clearly didn't understand her job and had to be corrected multiple times by another staff member--something no customer should have to witness. It created confusion, delays, and zero confidence in our order. We paid about $50 for a sampler, which is not cheap, and yet the same employee argued about giving us the sides because she entered the order incorrectly. If another, more competent employee hadn't stepped in, I'm convinced it would have escalated further. Even then, we never received one of the four sides we paid for. To make matters worse, we were never asked if we wanted drinks to go, and we weren't given plates, silverware, or even BBQ sauce--basic essentials for a takeout order. That's just unacceptable. While waiting, we also watched this same employee tell three separate dine-in families to go sit and wait while she stood there rolling silverware. Completely rude and dismissive. If I had been one of those customers, I would have walked out. This is the first impression customers get, and it's a terrible reflection of how the place is run. Between the disorganization, poor communication, and outright unfriendly behavior, the service was a mess. The only reason this isn't a one-star review is because the food itself was actually very good. The burnt ends and ribs were the standout--absolutely delicious. But great BBQ can't fully make up for such a frustrating and poorly managed customer experience.

He was SO hospitable, sweet and genuinely welcoming. He gave great recommendations and did not steer us wrong. These days, it's not always easy to come across service like that, which made it even more appreciated. I ordered the Sunset Blush drink and it was delicious. We also got the cornbread and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the BEST cornbread I've ever had. So soft and flavorful. The brisket sandwich was a little dry (could be because we went during closing) but still had really good flavor. The mac and cheese though... WOW. I am very picky with mac and cheese and most places miss the mark, but this tasted homemade. Easily a 10/10. My husband got the peach bourbon burger and said it was great. The kids ate everything in sight which is always a win...lastly the cinnamon roll cheesecake for dessert... phenomenal!!! Overall such a great experience and I'm really glad we stopped in!
