I don't golf and in fact hate it. BUT my hubby enjoys it so I booked him a tee time and this review is for the process, prices, and views. Maybe I'm just accustomed to the 50% markup for everything CA-related but I found the prices at Bountiful Golf super reasonable and the fact that I didn't have to book weeks in advance is a plus. It helps that I booked for a Sunday and there are 50 million fewer people here. Yay for us procrastinators! I might even walk the course with him next time.

The layout is both…read morebeautiful and deceptive; the frequency of blind shots keeps you on your toes, while the water hazards are perfectly placed to test your nerve. I was particularly impressed with the turf quality and the bunkers--the sand is pristine, clean, and has that rare, powder-like consistency. Even the carts are geared for a serious round, fully equipped with club cleaners, divot fillers, and ample rack space. A challenging, elite-tier experience.

In my experience today I've met a great group of pros in the shop, an enthusiastic crew in the cafe, and this very engaging beverage server named Coco who everyone in our group of eight had great things to say about what a great job she does helping golfers quench their thirsts. Great hires all around Eaglewood. The carts are clean and very comfortable. Padded seats, faux leather and GPS! Double edged sword though... if you get behind the GPS will let you know and if the delay persists the marshal will visit but these guys were very congenial and patient. Our foursome was delayed by the group in front of us. It appeared we were the bottleneck but when they saw we were long and strong off the tee the marshal left us alone. The facilities also have wedding banquets. They were prepping chicken quarters and mixed fresh vegetables that I thought was an offering on the menu. I was super impressed but Becky, the amazing young lady in the cafe, spilled the beans and clarified they were prepping for a wedding. Looked really good! The fairways are tight with trees and brush or very nice homes on either or both sides. Beware the mountain course influences the greens slope. It may look flat and straight but will roll the direction of the mountain slope. The conditions of the fairways and greens were very green. I wish more people repaired their divots and green but you can't have it all. I think you can tell our group had a great time and enjoyed the course, facilities and the people . If you're looking for a challenging round of golf, this is a course you will like.

Met up with a buddy that chose this course. First Utah course for me. I'm always game to play a new…read morecourse, but am a bit worried about how a course will measure up. Namely with the amount dog poop, maintenance, trash, course setup and how easy it is to follow. The course is 18 holes. There are a couple variations of where the hole may be. Each tee has a picture of the possible locations of that hole's basket. As well as the location of the next hole. Prior to starting there is a huge map of the course upon walking in. U-Disc is another option too if you're map challenged as the app will tell you if you're getting hot or cold towards the next tee/basket. Great course for beginners. Lots of open area. A few mandatory sections on the course. No real OB that I saw, other than going over a fence. Not many trash cans on the course. Which would explain why I saw so much dog poop Saturday morning. With that said, other than the poop, the course was relatively clean. A tournament was about to start upon the completion of our round. To which those arriving were turned away due to the course being closed because of the tournament. I'm hoping that this is documented somewhere so if I choose to come play here again I can look it up so I don't drive over just to be turned away. FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUR!

The course is challenging, but not too challenging. It will be a while before I hit par here, but I'll get it one day! On any given day there are quite a few people playing. It's nice to see so many people out enjoying the game. The community is pretty active here and are great, friendly people. One thing, please DO NOT DRINK OR SMOKE HERE. The land is given by the city on condition that this rule and others are kept. They are watching this course like a hawk and have already given warning after finding beer cans in the garbage. They will close down the course if people don't stop, which would really suck for the growth of the sport around here. Anyways, go enjoy a great course and have fun!
