We had an outstanding experience with Family Matters, and I wanted to share this review because…read morethis is what exemplary care should look like. My 75-year-old mother underwent necessary brain surgery three weeks ago. Three days before surgery, she had a ground-level fall, tore her rotator cuff, and sustained a small fracture. Because the surgery could not be deferred, she proceeded as planned but required significant care at home afterward. She had been fully independent, and although she lives with my father, the caregiving needs were beyond his comfort level. I was able to help for a few days after her discharge, but it was clear they would need additional support for her to remain safely at home. The hospital nurses were wonderful, but my mom needed assistance even with basic tasks like repositioning in bed and using the restroom, as her left arm was immobilized. Our hospital care coordinator connected us with Amy, the client care manager for Family Matters, who met us at home right away. She performed a thorough evaluation and took the time to understand my parents' needs and preferences. Almost immediately, we were connected with KJ, the Director of Operations, who coordinated the caregiving schedule. She ensured an excellent match with caregivers and that coverage was consistent and reliable. Communication was seamless--KJ was always responsive and proactive with updates, and we never felt out of touch. My mom especially wanted to recognize her primary daytime caregiver, Maria. Maria was attentive, warm, and incredibly experienced, with over 20 years in caregiving. She is also an excellent cook and was especially skilled in helping my mom with more vulnerable tasks like showering. The other caregivers who supported nights and weekends were also wonderful. The team clearly put thought and care into matching personalities and backgrounds, which made a meaningful difference. Over the following weeks, my mom gradually regained her independence, and we were able to scale back care smoothly. The team made adjustments easy and seamless. We would absolutely use Family Matters again. This was our first experience with a caregiving service, and we were initially apprehensive, but they made the entire process easy, supportive, and reassuring. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

I've only left a handful of Yelp reviews, but after such a positive and heartfelt experience with…read morethe Family Matters team, I felt they deserved recognition. During a very difficult time for our family, their staff was exceptional... extremely well coordinated, thoughtful, and empathetic. They could not have made more suitable choices about who spent time with our family and attended to our mother's needs. The level of care and flexibility was perfect as our 86 year old mother needed to recover from a major surgery among other significant health concerns. This was especially important to me as I don't live locally right now, so this gave my brothers and I peace of mind. I had the pleasure of working directly with James, who proactively visited our home and made excellent suggestions for equipping my mother's residence with cost-effective accessibility equipment (at no financial benefit for their company). He was readily available whenever an issue arose and went well beyond what we expected from a service like this. If you're looking for care for someone you love, I strongly encourage you to explore what Family Matters offers. When circumstances are already difficult to bear, having a service you can genuinely trust makes an enormous difference.

My mom enjoys socializing and talking with the other visitors and the other residents that live there. She feels safe at HMC. My mom has mild dementia, but she needs 24-hour care. I moved her from another facility that promised the world but did not deliver. I like the caregivers at HMC they have been very kind. They work hard to provide good care for my mom. They also make sure that she is given her medications. I know it is difficult to see a loved one declining. It is reassuring to know that mom is at HMC. My mom's health has improved since she has lived at HMC. I see my mom frequently; today I am taking her out to lunch. I don't know why, but this facility is no longer in operation. It was a good place for my mom. It closed about a year after my mom died in 2012. . I would recommend that you try to find other board and care facility, they are less expensive then the big retirement facilities and usually offer more individual care. Good luck on finding a place for a loved one.

I am so grateful that I found this medical transportation service. From the very beginning, making…read morethe appointment was easy, and Danielle, who answered the phone, was so kind, patient, and helpful. She made me feel that my dad was in good hands even before the ride began. Natalie Nelson was the wonderful person who picked up my dad from the hospital. She arrived earlier than our scheduled time and even texted me, saying, "Take your time." That meant so much to me because I knew she understood how stressful a hospital discharge can be. The hospital process was extremely slow, and Natalie ended up waiting for more than 45 minutes. But she never complained or showed any frustration. She continued to be so warm, patient, cheerful, and compassionate. What touched my heart the most was what my dad said afterward. He told me, "This lady is so nice! How do you know her? Is she your friend?" That says everything. Natalie treated my dad not like a new client, but like an old friend she had known for years. Her kindness was genuine, and I could feel that she truly cared about my dad--not just as a passenger, but as a person. During a difficult and stressful day, her compassion brought us so much comfort. I will never forget how she treated my dad with such dignity, patience, and kindness. It truly touched my heart. Thank you so much, Danielle and Natalie, for making a difficult day a little easier for our family. I wholeheartedly recommend this service to anyone who needs medical transportation. You will be in caring and compassionate hands.

The overall experience was very smooth--from meeting the care coordinator Natalie and signing the forms to making final arrangements by text. Everyone here was warm and helpful. A special shoutout to my caregiver, Candy, who was lively and fun. After I got home, I slept for a couple of hours, and when I woke up we chatted--the conversation helped me stay alert and shake off the grogginess from the anesthesia. Being Chinese, Candy understood my needs at home, and that cultural awareness was especially comforting while recovering on my own. Hopefully I won't need surgery again--but if I do, I'll be calling California Seniors Care!

All Seasons Homecare was highly recommended to me by my attorney so I gave them a call. I talked with the owner, Lou Ann. She explained how everything worked and answered all of my questions. I knew after talking to her that my mother-in-law would be in good hands. This place is top notch and so professional. I used All Seasons for 11 days. In that time, all the caregivers showed up on time and gave excellent care to my mother-in-law. At the end of each shift, the caregiver would write up a summary of their visit online, letting me know how my mother-in-law was doing and how the visit went. These notes were very insightful. I appreciate how if there are any problems or questions you can contact Honor, the company All Seasons partners with, 24 hours a day. Very reassuring. Everything went smoothly and I would highly recommend All Seasons/Honor. Are they expensive? Yes. Are they worth it? Absolutely!!!! When you need homecare done right, this is the place to contact! Thanks Lou Ann, Christina, and all the excellent caregivers. You guys are the best!!!

We were given very short notice that mom was going to be released but Lou Ann and Christina met with us and mom to get better acquainted with her and her needs. Shortly after mom got home she had a virtual meeting with a therapist and with no way to conduct this meeting, Christina drove to the home to personally assist with the process. Above and beyond! An urgent staffing issue arose late on a Sunday evening while I was sitting in an airport so I called the 24 hour service number and within minutes I received a call back that the issue was resolved, another example of All Season's commitment to provide the best possible care to their clients and their families. All of the Health Care Professionals assigned to help mom have been very helpful, patient and kind (and mom can be a handful at times:) ) I also very much appreciate the fact that I receive daily reports once the homecare visit is complete that summarizes the visit. Living out of state this is beyond helpful. After reading the reports and finding out about doctor visits or therapist visits that occurred I am able to contact mom and discuss the visit, etc. Without hesitation I would recommend this organization for anyone who is in need of homecare services. The entire organization from Lou Ann and Christina to the personnel answering the 24 hour "hotline" is in my mind, without a doubt, the best homecare service available. Living out of state I am unable to oversee mom's care on a daily basis, but, in my opinion, All Season's professionalism coupled with their compassion reassures me that mom is receiving the next best thing to a family member being there

Upon discharge from an Sunny View Health Care Facility in Cupertino, after having a total knee…read morereplacement, I was assigned to the In Home Care Group. Within 2 weeks Sunny View's OT ad PT staff had me walking with only a cane and making excellent progress. However, everything came to an abrupt halt once the In Home Care Group assumed responsibility. The RN, Ronnie, came to do an evaluation the day after I was released and she was the only person who every followed up. Ronnie was very professional and informed me that the OT and PT would be calling to set up appointments. I waited several days and finally called the RN and reported that no one called or showed up. This disconnect in communication within the company's administrative staff resulted in my having to inform the RN multiple times during those two weeks that no one was following up. The RN finally gave me the PT's phone number and it wasn't a valid working number. In the meantime one of the therapists called my son, who was #3 on my emergency contact list, and wanted to set up an appointment with him to have physical therapy. My son is in Mexico and informed them he was not the patient but it was mother. Consistent physical therapy is critical after knee replacement surgery and being without for two weeks is inexcusable. I contacted the CEO of the company, Neil Schultz, and relieved them of their services. While he was most apologetic, the company's lack of organization and follow through at a time that was critical for my recovery was unacceptable. In Home Care Group is not an agency I would ever recommend.

They set up the insurance, contact, etc. So far they seem to have ok PTs and nurses. They are polite when they come and seem to follow procedures. They definitely have issues, I think it's probably a company issue more than the staff. Some of this issues: - They were supposed to come to my home within 48 hours of exiting the center, without me having to even bother to call. It took me 5 day to get a call back from them. I was beginning to think they did not exist. -it took another couple of days of stand offs and change of scheduling to meet the nurse. -The PT (physical therapist) was supposed to come within hours, again, another week of the same. The first PT, who didn't showed up, finally answered my call after 4 days, saying that it was not her fault that she was vacationing at Lake Tahoe with her family. I know most of them have a language barrier, but I didn't understand why that have to be my problem, why the agency didn't find another PT not on vacation, or why do I have to care about their internal scheduling. When I told her that it was very unprofessional and made me feel like they were not a serious place to trust, she sent me a different PT. -The OT was even worse. She sometimes answered text other didn't. Another extra week to get a hold of her. She finally came on week 3, she seems nice. -In general , they come for few minutes, always late or after a couple of rescheduling because they didn't showed up. Maybe this is how it is suppose to be? I'll ask the rehabilitation center when I visit, and plan to leave a note with the insurance company about it too.
