We truly cannot say enough amazing things about our day-of coordinator, Raquel from Platinum…read moreAffairs! As a major DIY Bride, it initially was not in our budget to have a day-of-coordinator. After speaking with others who recommended Platinum Affairs to me, I discovered a day-of-coordinator would be the most important vendor. In all honesty, I don't know what I would have done without Raquel. Even as a strong type A Bride who is extremely organized and prepared, Raquel asked the questions I didn't think of to FULLY prepare for the wedding. After the first meeting, it was like a huge weight was lifted off our shoulders. She brought an incredible sense of calm, professionalism, and organization to our wedding day, exactly what we needed. She also shared her industry knowledge for ideas, recommendations, and proper etiquette. She kept in contact with all our vendors before the wedding, days leading up to the wedding, and the day of the wedding. Raquel truly took the time to learn my husband and I, to fully understand what was important to US on our wedding day. Her preparation ensured all our vendors worked seamlessly together. Raquel managed to be everywhere at once, always a step ahead, always with a smile. She not only managed my vendors, but she also managed those guests that every bride and groom is worried about but obligated to invite (sorry not sorry). I honestly don't know how our day would have flowed without her. Thanks to Raquel, we were able to be fully present and truly enjoy every moment. Everyone warned us the day would fly by; it really really does! Don't put yourself through the nonsense; it's your day so be sure to enjoy every single moment of it. To do that, a day-of-coordinator is a must. If you're on the fence about hiring a day-of coordinator, just DO IT, and make sure it's Raquel. She was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Bonus: Raquel sent us some sneak peak photos after the wedding she was able to snap from behind the scenes.

Platinum Affairs came recommended to us by Jericho Terrace as a preferred vendor as we made…read morepreparations for our wedding. We worked with Raquel on our invitations, mirrored seating chart and mirrored welcome sign. Overall Platinum Affairs executed on all assigned tasks and everything came out nicely. However, during the process, we felt like we needed to follow up and stay on top of them. Raquel seemed overwhelmed and maybe a bit burnt out. The Meetings We met with Raquel a few times over the process to finalize details and make payments. She was not pushy and honored our requests. We wanted simple invites, and new the style of mirrors we wanted. Over the course of 6-8 months, each visit she forgot who we were and we had to reintroduce ourselves. It took away from the experience. The Service Our Invites were ordered about 8 months from our wedding date and arrived about 6 months from our wedding date. I was a bit annoyed because our original choice was out of print and we were told this one was in stock and affordable. After making our order and reviewing our proofs, Raquel and her team called to let us know we had to decide immediately on our proofs because the vendor was running low on the card stock and may not be able to print our order. Our mirror and seating chart were ordered at the same time. We had to provide the text, names and fonts about 10 days prior to the event. We actually followed up with them because no one contacted us. Once we were in touch, everything was finalized. One nit to pick, they do not alphabetize the seating charts and you do need to review your proofs. I noticed a few formatting errors when reviewing my own. Card box was just as we asked. No complaints there. Verdict Platinum Affairs was okay. Service was good, but not great. Prices were reasonable.

Rented a Waterslide for a backyard birthday party (11am-3pm). Set up was done in a timely manner,…read morewe were instructed on how to use the slide and how far the water fill should be (seam level). Bald man setting up even confirmed that our party was from 11am-3pm. When the water slide was set up, we were told that they would be back at night for pick up. The guys showed up at 2:45pm, I happened to be outside, I said to them, wow you guys are early?!? I was approached with the excuse that they were checking to see how the slide was doing. I said come on in, thinking they would check and leave since they said pick up would be at night. They walked into the backyard with a large hand truck, bald man went straight to my hose and closed the water knob from my home to the hose, walked over to the slide, told us that the water line was too high, to which I advised that he pointed to a specific seam and not the sides, he did admit that he only pointed to one seam and apologized for being wrong, told us to tell the kids that are currently on the slide to get one last trip down since they needed to pack up. I told the bald man that they were early! He acted like he didn't know the time and asked what time is it? I said, 2:53pm and politely asked if they could please leave the party and wait outside to which I will call them at 3pm when the party was scheduled to be over. All of this happened while the party was still going on, party guests were stunned at the behavior and unprofessionalism. At exactly 3pm, I personally went outside and went to get them, I thought this was very unprofessional and will not be renting anything from this company again or referring anyone to them. Completely unacceptable.
