In 4 days this is what it looked like. I changed the water daily and added plant food that I have used for years. My arrangements have often lasted 3 weeks but not from this shop. NEVER again. Today is my birthday and I just received the most beautifully wrapped (brown paper tied in raffia and string) bouquet of yellow and green Parrot Tulips with sprigs of Eucalyptus. EDIT: After leaving this review, they called and offered to cover the delivery fee. They also said that they made the arrangement bigger than it was supposed to be. They also apologized again, so I appreciate that and the fact that they followed up. I ordered an arrangement online for Mother's Day and purposely chose the delivery date as Saturday in case the shop was overwhelmed that Sunday. Well, my flowers were never delivered so I called them the following Tuesday. They said it just slipped under their radar and offered to have them delivered that day. They didn't offer a discount or partial refund at all. They just said "Slip ups happen." As I paid $70 for the arrangement, I was pretty annoyed. Will NOT be buying from them again. read more

Just gave direction of wanting a burgundy dark arrangement and asked that they send pics before deliver. I sent what I thought would be a beautiful arrangement, described as perfect to brighten someone's day. But instead I was sent an arrangement that looks DEAD. An absolute embarrassment to send someone such a horrible arrangement. Order didn't even arrive until I called asking where it was 8 hours after my requested delivery window. flowers left in doorway when I asked them to bring them back the next day or I would pick up in shop. my elderly mother in mid 80s w/difficult hearing ordered them. the business is taking advantage of her and claiming she in fact requested they leave them on the floor. a woman delivering called me, the recipient, to ask where to leave them and I told her there was no place to leave them in the building. she first said she would charge 10, then texted 15 to redeliver to Huntington Village Main Street address! I said I would pick them up next day. an employee then called to say she was the owner and I was calling her out on her accent! nasty employee and rude owner with no regard to customer service. not a race card issue. read more

I was really looking forward to working with floras ave for centerpieces for a baby shower. I ordered a "mock centerpiece" to see if i liked them enough to order 15 for my shower. Upon ordering, i showed pictures of the color combination (shades of pink and some red) and flowers i was looking for and we went over the types of flowers that THEY suggested. Ranunculus, roses, spray roses, tulips, anemone and i mentioned i wanted a few garden roses. They gave us a price based on the size we needed and we paid. I knew i was not going to get exactly the picture i showed them because i needed a much smaller size. Upon pickup, i walked in and immediately they said oh, there isn't supposed to be purple in this , so i waited for them to change out the purple colors. And because of this, the new flowers they added weren't open and there was so much space in the centerpiece. There was much more greenery than i anticipated and the colors were not what i asked for. There were also no roses or garden roses present. After speaking with the gentleman there, he explained that these would not be the same flowers i would be getting for my centerpieces, but the entire point of ordering a mock up was to see what they would look like before i order them so I'm not disappointed the day of. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with floras avenue stating my concerns and all they had to say was the flowers i wanted were pricier flowers and would cost me more money to have a more full centerpiece, but everything i wanted was previously discussed before they gave me a price and they could have told me a different price. I'm very disappointed in the centerpiece i received and how they handled the situation. The picture is a few days later when the flowers had opened, the colors should have been pink, hot pink, light pink, and some eucalyptus for a little added greenery. The red flowers are almost an orange red and there isn't a variety of pinks and there is a purple flower in there. read more

My son who just turned 18 went to this Florist shop to get me some flowers for my birthday. The first thing he asked for was white roses. The woman who helped him implied he wouldn't be able to afford it. She expressed they didn't have the amount of white roses he wanted and she asked what was his budget. He told her $250. She looked shocked then immediately decided she was going to create an arrangement for that exact price. She came up with an arrangement and instead of putting it in a vase, it was arranged in a funeral pot. My son went home and awaited a phone call when the arrangement would be ready. He got the call to pick it up and he advised he'd come later when he could get a ride from his grandmother as it was too heavy for him to walk with. He then received a phone call demanding he put a credit card on file. He advised he didn't feel comfortable giving his credit card info over the phone. He then got another call questioning how he planned to pay whether it was cash or credit. Then he was told he would be charged more if he didn't pay cash. This was his first time purchasing flowers. I believe he was taken advantage of. The arrangement was made after he left. He told her the most he could afford and that's exactly what she charged him. He bought the flowers on a Friday. Today is Monday and the flowers are dying. Since when is a credit card required to be put on file to purchase one arrangement? What difference does the form of payment make as long as its paid? I wouldn't recommend anyone purchasing from this florist. Its only been two days and the flowers are dead and hanging down. Look at the pictures and you decide if it's worth $250. It was for my birthday...wouldn't a vase be more appropriate than a cement looking funeral pot? And yes i watered them. read more

Having met with a few other florists who blatantly told me my vision was "not possible", I was feeling like I would never find a florist who could work with my vision. Akvile loved every aspect of what I wanted and together we crafted the wedding of my dreams. Beautiful floral artistry, with fast and professional service. I placed an order yesterday at approximately 2pm and assumed that it would be delivered the following day. It was for a dear friend, who is going through a difficult time, and had an especially hectic and difficult day. The arrangement went out for delivery at 5pm that same day and apparently called my friend beforehand, to make sure that someone would be home to accept the delivery. I placed the order by phone, but chose an arrangement from their website. My friend sent me a photo of the arrangement, which was stunning and beyond my expectations. I had placed my order over the phone and when I arrived and seen my arrangement I knew we had a miss communication.
