Here's why: - 15 minute reply on ny request for quote through Yelp - $75 off Yelp discount - they texted me the time adn details of the appointment - they called me 30 minute before my appointment to let me know they were on their way - they were on time - they went over the proposed work adn costing, and let me know that they might find more wrong as they worked - they notified me that the shaft bearings in my garage mechanism were starting to war out, and said that they are ok for now but should be replaced at the next service event in about 10 years - the price I paid matched what I was quoted - they were polite - they had both springs replaced in about 25 minutes - they explained what I needed to do for maintenance in teh future - their springs came with a longer warranty for the same price as their competition Highly recommended. read more

Last Tuesday morning, my wife went out to get the morning paper. When she punched the button to open the garage door, it would only open about 2 ft. up and then stop. I went out to check the track for blockage and found non. After several more attempts to open it, I concluded that something was definitely wrong and we would need professional help. I immediately went to Yelp and after just a few minutes of browsing, it was clear to me that Garage Door Experts was my clear choice. I called his business number at 10:30 AM and after a few rings, Joshua answered. He asked me a few questions and then said he could come over that afternoon between 2 - 3 PM. I told him that would be perfect. He texted me a confirmation message with a link to his website that was complete with all his business information and a photo of himself - all very professional! At 2:30 PM, he texted me that he was en route. He arrived a few minutes later. The first thing he did was to put a pair of protective booties over his shoes before entering our home. Joshua was able to determine the problem fairly quickly - one of the torsion springs in the Dual Spring System had broken. He was very patient and clear in explaining what the repair would entail complete with all charges. We also decided that he would replace both springs and upgrade to a heavier duty, longer springs. The upgrade was only $20 per spring but the warranty was considerably longer at 9 years. In real life, he thought they would last 12 to 15 years. It took him about 45 minutes. His work included a cleaning/lubricating of the track and guide wheels and a tune up of the entire system. The cost was $343.78 ($175 service call, minus $25 discount website coupon plus $90 X 2 springs + $13.80 tax). And the work was absolutely perfect. The system is working better than day one of the original installation - no squeaks, rattles or shimmies! Joshua was extremely polite, professional and just an all around joy to do business with. But, it was even better than that! I never went to his website but he gave me the discount, anyway! I had called him using just the info on Yelp. I wish all repairs and dealings with businesses were this easy and reasonable. I highly recommend this company with absolutely no reservations! Our garage spring broke on Friday afternoon, so I wasn't holding out much hope when I called to see if anyone could come out before the weekend. Joseph not only came out within the hour, he stayed well passed 7 as we found more and more problems with my previous installation. Joseph was a delight to work with. I self fixed it a few times by tightening the chain bolt but after the 3rd time it just gave out and wouldn't open or close the garage door.
