We go here for brunch. Their a la carte menu is excellent and quite reasonably priced. I highly recommend the red current and orange french toast. read more

Had a great seafood risotto. The ambiance is very soothing and welcoming.

My wife and I went twice in a week. One week was the lobster & soft shell crab specials. Last week was spur of the moment on July 3rd and order off the regular menu. Both nights were outstanding. Even though several of the long time waiters have moved on because of family expansion Josh and the staff at Boulevard Five72 have not missed a beat!. Customer service is still a 10 and Scott's dishes are 2nd to none. Whether it is with a group of 4/6, date night or a special occasion this place is not to be missed! They are opening another restaurant soon in Somerville. Can't wait! read more

Terrific place. Went for lunch and the food was top notch. Tile fish special was great and the rabbit special which my lunch companion had was also. A real gourmet place through and through. read more

Had my 40th here. Had a brunch with family and close friends. Food...meaning eggs, pancakes, and simple food that anyone can cook in a few minutes...took over 2 hours!!! Hands down the worst. I'm pretty chilled but had to yell at the mgr about the food and drinks. Terrible place for service....pancakes cakes and eggs! read more

Another great place to eat. They change the menu often but you can still get the basics or even a special order. Service is excellent too.

New american cuisine. entrees about 25-30, appy's about 10-15 Dinner for two last night with a less expensive wine, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 coffees and one dessert was $140 wtth tax but without tip. All food had a good presentation and great mix of flavors. Portions are not large, but we still left stuffed. She had the braised lamb shank with a reduction over root vegetables and parmesean risotto. Great, and good sized lamb shank, but the risotta was undercooked. Interesting since too often in most places it is over cooked mush. I had the cavatelli and pulled short ribs in a sauce with asparagus. Very good. For appetizer she had the grilled baby octopus salad which was not afraid to be briney, but a tad salty. Very good. I had the seared day boat scallops with lentils with a bit of bacon flavor added with mascarpone. Very good. I didn't mind it was two big scallops, this is not the kind of place where quantity makes up for quality. Majool date bread pudding was tasty. Warning, the coffee sucked. Sorry, but it did. Tasted like diner coffee - chewy and burnt like had been made hours before. I think this was an oversight on their part. Service was attentive, even the bus boys were attentive. Waitress was familiar with the food and able to guide choices. Atmosphere was very nice, maybe an item over the top here or there, but not in any way that would detract. In fact, we were fond of the decor. I had eaten there once prior for lunch at the bar. Bar is smallish, maybe seating for 6 at the bar with 3 or 4 high bar tables. Able bar tender who could keep a conversation. Nice decor there, felt like a bar without being a gin mill. Had prix fixe lunch for $24. Endive/bluecheese/walnut salad with a dressing that had a point of view rather than just bland. Pork loin with a mole pesto drizzle over a smear of some mashed potato/root veggie. Very good. Sampling of small pastries for desert, very good. Espresso at lunch was good, not great, not bad. Wine list is able, many choices and you would be able to find something good at all price ranges/styles. Not extensive, but still several pages in the wine book. Several good choices by the glass too. read more

Everything was really good, a bit loud for a romantic dinner. Service was great. Overall a good experience.

My wife and I had dinner here. My wife had the crab cake appetizer which is not something I usually choose. She said they were very good. I tasted them and they were good, and not too heavy. I had the foie gras which was melt in your mouth amazing. For entries my wife had the aged ribeye. She said (and I concurred) it was a very good steak. We both decided however that the better move would be to get something creative that you can't get anywhere else. This steak could have been served anywhere that does decent meat. I got the seafood risotto which was outstanding. I try risotto every chance I get to see why it is so revered by chefs. This is the first time I got one that made me understand. It was loaded with flavor and you could distinguish each grain of rice. For dessert my wife had cheesecake with a strawberry and rhubarb jam, which she finished and said was very good. I had a deconstructed bread pudding which included a piece of candied bacon over vanilla ice cream...I think I dreamed about the bacon. My dinner was new, creative dishes that were prepared perfectly. My wife's dinner were items served at many restaurants and although cooked well, were not better than what we could get at a good steakhouse. That is why I give 4 stars and not 5. read more

Had dinner here on Saturday night. The wild mushroom ravioli was amazing but everything else was pretty typical. Wine list was very impressive. Overall it was good but did not blow me away. read more

We were attending a private party, the ambience, food and service was superb. Would recommend this restaurant, five stars all around

I wrote in about a year and a half ago angry because of my server being a complete lost cause. I never had that server again and I don't think I've seen him since. To my pleasure I have come back enthusiastic to write up the review it deserves. First off let me start off by saying that the food here has always been really great . But on to the juicy stuff . My night began with a shrimp corn chowder and because it had taken up a bit of time our server brought out a mini crab salad. How great is that ? I didn't bother with the time as I was in no hurry . My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant for months starting about 3 years back. I hadn't really tried much of the dinner menu as I only come here for business and brunch. I was very very happy with my dinner. See as mentioned we had already had extra food. Here's where things got a bit interesting our server a young man who could be no older then 24 didn't tell us that the pork tenderloin had pesto which has nuts and so when my wife who is allergic to nuts got a small reaction we quickly figured it out. Luckily we realized it early and she decided to switch entree's rather make a big deal about it. So I wish I could have reveiwed the rib eye but it didn't happen . The tenderloin was still delicious though but it did need just a little bit more seasoning . It was fixable by pepper and salt. 4 stars either way. We will visit more often read more

Best brunch. I always bring people that I'm trying to impress to brunch there. The table (even if it's just 2 people) get four appetizers to share. My go-to's are the warm beignets with dipping sauce, the French toast, the mezza plate (hummus, beats, baba ganoush, etc) and the fresh fruit with chantilly cream. UNLIMITED MIMOSAS AND BELLINIS! Gotta love that. The entrees are delicious. I especially love the penne with shrimp. The price is like $25-$30 per person for all of this which is amazing. My only critique- the bloody Mary's. They taste like cocktail sauce with vodka. Other than that, I highly recommend. read more

I took my husband here for his birthday. We don't dine out much, because there is very little that impresses me anymore regarding the quality of great food. I am an expert foodie, and pretty much we eat the fabulously prepared meals I routinely make daily. (He is a HAPPY man!) But, this restaurant got us both excited. The Prix fixe menu was a real value at $24pp, and the choices were very large...we were too filled up to finish all of the dessert provided. Really liked the service, the wait staff's knowledge, ambience, and the pace of the experience. Two points: on Thursdays they feature wine buys that are steeply discounted. We had a great red for a fraction of its regular cost. The second point, though, involves the acoustics. I could actually hear the full conversation of a party 30 feet away...that was not only odd, as she wasn't speaking all that loudly, but it made me think that when the place if full, the noise level could be uncomfortable. I would definitely return again, but will stick to lunch, when I know it will not be crowded. read more

My favorite restaurant and catering facility! We had our business Christmas dinner for 50 people there. Everything was amazing!

Went for a friends birthday on a Friday night and what a treat! The hostess greeted us right away and took our coats (coat check is a huge plus) We were at our table before I knew it and the restaurant is beautiful! The drinks and the food is amazing. The chef there deserves an award. Our waiter was a beard young man and you couldn't have had a better server anywhere else! He was professional and walked us through the menu and made us laugh! It was perfection and We can not wait to go back ! read more

On 9/12/15 I celebrated my daughter's engagement at Boulevard Five 72. We had a brunch in the upstairs room and a little more than 95 guests attended. My advice to anyone interested in picking a venue for less than 100 people run don't walk to this venue. Room is lovely, food outstanding, service excellent! Very happy with this venue! read more

Delicious food. I have eaten here several times C and have each time come away more impressed than the previous time. Pasta is prepared to perfection, seafood so fresh and well prepared it melts in your mouth, steaks, more of the same. If you're in the mood for fantastic food and above average service this is the place to go. read more

Went for dinner with my wife on a Friday night. Had reservations all was good. Nice table. We told waiter my wife was allergic to tomatoes. He said he checked with kitchen and we were clear on items we ordered. 1st the Salad came with tomatoes all over it !!! It was a mistake, we saw them, no harm done...ok. They made another salad. ok. Then the dinner came (Monk fish over risotto) The risotto had tomatoes cooked into it !!. Waiter said it was Prosciutto?!! Are you kidding me?? Are you trying to kill my wife!!?? We looked closer and confirmed it was TOMATOES AGAIN!! The waiter did not get manager or do anything to make it right. He simple said sorry like he was annoyed at us. They remade my wife's dinner and you could tell it was a quick microwave job. He had the gall to come over after our not-eaten dinners were cleared said nothing about what happened and rudely handed us dessert menus' which we refused and got the check. It wasn't until the hostess walked by we made the situation understood. She apologized, I signed the check (I even left a tip) and got up to leave. The manager stopped us on the way out and apologized again all the while the waiter stood at the hostess stand still saying nothing to us. The manager was sincere and I belived his concern. The manager gave me a $40 gift certificate to cover the meal hoping we would come back again. $40??!! Really? Thank you but NO, I'm never going back. read more

You know the food is good when you think about it the next day. This is my new favorite restaurant near my house in NJ. We went on Thursday for dinner. We had a bottle of wine (any bottle over $50 was 1/2 off- great deal), apps, entrees, desert and after dinner drink. The scallop app had an interesting celery puree with a lentil stew. The crab cakes were very generous with plenty of crab meat. For dinner I had the duck with red cabbage slaw, figs, and pumpkin polenta- the best duck I have had in 10 years. My husband had the fillet with blue cheese. For dessert we had the plum almond tart with cinnamon gelato and I had the creme brulee martini. The food was excellent and the service was great. Our waiter truly believed in the quality of the food and the entire staff was attentive- My water and wine glass was always full. My only complaint is that I feel obligated to finish all the food on my plate- and frankly there was a lot of food. But it made for great leftovers tonight. I will be back to this restaurant monthly. read more

Overpriced!!! I understand it is mother's day but the $50 per person buffet plus the 20% gratuity they tacked on for a party of 5 really took a chunck out of your wallet. The food was not overly exciting and I expected more for the price.  Chicken Francaise and creamy tortellini with peas had a fishy taste. I think the bloody mary's had clam juice in them. I did enjoy the eggs benedict and paella. After one plate and 2 mimosas I was full definitely not $50. I am fine with paying more for upscale dining but at best I would have paid $39.95 per person with 18% gratuity for this dining experience since it was buffet style.  I do have to say we were seated promptly and the wait staff was attentive and pleasant.  Table set up was awkward on 2nd floor. Many people were blocking any passage way to buffet tables so made it difficult to get by with wait staff also trying to get through. Good location right off the Parkway. Valet or street parking. read more

I read so many good reviews about this place I began fearing that my expectations would be too high and I would be disappointed. I needn't have worried. Everything I had from cocktails, to appetizers, to entrees, to dessert was fantastic. The two cocktails I tried were expertly made; the Intermezzo with its Champagne was refreshing, and The Derby was one of the best Bourbon drinks I ever had. The shrimp and corn chowder was very flavorful. I chose it over the crab cakes which a friend ordered and gave me a bite. Nice and crispy but the portion didn't look too big. My duck meal was one of the best duck dishes I ever had. The skin was nice and crispy, the meat was cooked to perfection (the medium that I ordered) and the sauce was pleasantly sweet due to the figs. I was totally stuffed at this point but ordered the French Toast Bread Pudding which was paired with homemade maple ice cream topped by a piece of bacon. Pure heaven. The waiter was pretty good, host and hostess very friendly, and the valet guys were very pleasant and professional. I can't wait to go back, maybe for those brunches everyone keeps talking about. read more
