For Anxious Dental Patients: You aren't gaslit, dismissed or treated like a child here…read more I've been a patient for 3 months, after being dismissed by my previous dentist (see my profile for review). I obviously don't sugar-coat because I believe the best person with the best price should get the job. I've had award-winning anxiety since I was a child, and it centers around claustrophobia. So going to the dentist has always been a nightmare, I've always been treated like I could control the panic "if I wanted to." Then, I got a touch of terminal cancer that although has since been reversed, at the time centered around a tumor in my trachea that led to intubations, conscious mechanical intubation for several weeks, and ended with a trach that I had until I left hospice and got well. That old story. But it's relevant in that it made a phobia, into a terror. And to overcome that, I need people who understand, and more so give a shit. Not just phoning it to get paid pretentious Bambi-eyed toddler talk - I spent a year in end stage cancer care, I've heard all the syrupy speeches I ever care to. But I want and deserve professionals that understand my fear is not a joke or an inconvenience. And now, I've found them. And that they are less expensive than my last dentist? That's awesome. For example, yesterday's conscious sedation was $750. At my old dentist it was $1500. That is a huge difference. Huge. Same drug, except - OMG they had a meeting and before care and aftercare and that meant a lot to me that they CARED about my health. Considering since I've been trying to fix the hell cancer put my teeth through I've averaged 2-4 sedations a year? That's going to save someone I love money. Because lord knows I can't afford my dental work . I have self-pay cancer debt! Besides that I'm not allowed to have enough money to afford dental work because of disability. The work thus far had been painless, professional, kind, courteous and concerned. My physical and mental health were well-cared for and it's just a happy place. The staff are kind and happy people, and that says a lot about this business. The fact that they have a dental plan that will actually save a lot of money this year always especially awesome. I could say a lot of nice things about this place, but I'm just so damn relieved to find a place to call my new dental home - and I don't even hate going there because they spoil you to make sure all your needs are covered. It doesn't feel like the sterile, overly bright, what is that smell dentist offices I'm accustomed to. Like yesterday my procedure (root canal and 2 cavities) was performed by Dr Jake in a dimly lit room (he wore a bright headlamp) But the difference it made not to be in a bright room was fantastic. Absolute game changer. I ramble, but I do so because I know the anxiety patients will pick-up what I'm putting out there that the "normal" people won't understand. I promise you, they will make you comfortable and are not going to let you because. And I say that as someone fired by an anxiety dentist "for being TOO anxious" (after being passed to him by his mother who thought my inability to lay flat was too hard on her back) who sent me to by my last dentist who fired me for being too invested in his lack of concern for anything that wasn't about him. Anyway, having worked with Dr. Jake and spoken with Dr Yeager I cannot recommend this place high enough. If you HAVE to go to the dentist they will treat you epically, and not overcharge you for the privilege of going somewhere both the work and the people are excellent. I was not paid for this review. I wish I had been because I could go for a boba!

I don't generally trust medical professionals for many reasons, but every single person I encountered treated me with such respect and compassion and explained everything - from what likely had happened to treatment to cost and WHY - and what my options were in great detail. Dr. Yeager was so kind and approachable. 100/10; the entire staff was incredible. Thank you so much!

SCUM OF THE EARTH I…read morehad a cavity when I was five- in a baby tooth. He gave me a rootcanal- MANY root canals...IN BABY TEETH! When I was choking on the x-ray instrument I had to take it out to readjust it- HE COVERED MY MOUTH WITH HIS CREEPY GLOVED HAND AND TOLD ME TO SHUT UP. I was a tiny, sweet, five year old. They tortured me over about three years. My parents wern't allowed in the room. We would wait HOURS past our appointment time. This office is a torture barn- money machine. I was too scared to tell, so I can't sue. But God help you if you send your kid to this scum bag.

Imagine how miserable that was in the worst years of a kid's life. Everything took longer than their office estimated.... Headgear for 4 months turned into 2 years. Lip bumpers for a year turned into 3 years. Some thing I was supposed to chew on for a couple months turned into a year and a half. They never even ran their appointments on time. And the guy was mean... he pulled a tooth out with my sister when she was 8. When she started tearing up he told her to not act like a baby. Seeing as I was in braces for 7 years, you'd think it would at least be pain free as they were taking their time.... nope. Woke up nightly in pain and tried to live off a diet of junk food as a kid since I didn't like to chew on anything. Results: nada. After 7 years of braces the retainers lasted maybe 6 months or regular wear and 12 mos of nightly use. Those were extremely uncomfortable, too. And since I had grown larger than Dr Laffer in that time he no longer could bully me into wearing them 24/7. So my teeth are probably only slightly better than if I had never worn braces. I also developed a hatred for all dentists in that time, which probably doesn't help my oral hygiene.
