I come here often to order some ready made meals For dinner. A great option if you're not in the mood to cook. The only issue is the time and availability. You must call in advance to order as they don't keep anything ready and prepare it on call. Last time I remember calling in to pre-order the chicken grilled charcoal but recently was a bit bummed.. I didn't know that it was absolutely necessary to pre- order at least 45min- an hour beforehand. I believe it's way to long of a wait and super inconvenient. The chicken we ordered was dry and way too overcooked. They cook it way too long in my opinion. Recently, I decided to just order what was already ready. They had some BBQ chicken ready and rice was really good and delicious no charcoal grill this time. (3.5 ish for the dish) The grocery store itself is superbe ! A fine selection of food items available on site lots of Middle East items available to purchase that you can't get at your regular grocery store. Got some paneer cheese around 5$ for a thick 600g block so I'm pretty happy about that. The items are very pricey so don't recommend shopping here for anything generic but specialty products are pretty good and worth buying here if you live around the area rather than driving far into montreal/ west island. Overall, pretty small little authentic middle eastern place to check out for sure if you're looking for something extra and different.

This place is about short proximity supplies of great quality, natural, organic food. They grow their own beef, control the process at the slaughterhouse and sell it directly to the public. The meat is individually wrap and frozen quickly to make sure that the quality remain high. This enable them to offer a wide choice of cuts and the vacuum packing enables quick unfreezing in cold water. On this nice spring day, we settle to have our first bbq of the season but our plan was rather a late one... we didn't have a bbq and it was 4 pm and stores were closing at 5 pm on this Saturday. After stoping in Hudson to buy a charcoal Weber (with charcoal) we asked the store if they knew of a butcher in town and one of the girl directed us vaguely to this producer. We got there at 4:30 pm and were greeted by a nice and very enthusiastic woman who gladly showed us their variety of cuts available. For our bbq, we settle on a great porterhouse steak which she suggested would take about an hour to unfreeze in cold water. We also bough some bacon and fresh eggs. At home, we unfroze the steak while assembling the bbq and proceeded to cook our steak. A porterhouse is a higher quality t-bone and is big enough to share (a part of it is the "filet mignon"). I shared the sirloin part with my partner (who had a small part with her salmon) and our son got the filet mignon. It was probably the tastier piece of meat I ever had in North America! We followed up with bacon and eggs on the next morning and it was absolutely great. They don't produce their own pork and chickens but source it from nearby places they know and they make sure that those follow the same organic, humane process that they do for their beef. An awesome place to know and we will be back often. My philosophy with meat is that it is better to eat less of it but when you do, source it with high quality. This place makes it possible and easy to do for us! They also have a place in Terrebonne for those that find it more convenient.

There is an on-site sushi vendor as well as on-site meals that can be ordered. The bakery is good and the deli station is great. The organic section has grown a lot in the last few years as has the store itself (expansion/ growth). The prices sometimes seem a little on the high side, but the sales are decent if it's what you normally buy or are looking for. My only word of caution is to take a good look at the Best Before dates on your items, especially if they're on sale. Since the new owner took over last year, things have been tricky and I've often found (and complained about) expired milk that was still being sold, just as I found box soups with expired dates. Also, the latest tactic on sales has fallen to the "buy 2 or more" to get a price cut. Again, if you're alert, you won't get fooled.

Nonetheless, the service is wonderful helpful and super friendly always making sure I get served quickly at the fresh deli counters and always serve me quickly and rapidly with a smile. The Items are always fresh and the quality at this place is the best! Everything here is worth buying .. the food lasts longer than other grocery places I've been to! They last longer and quite frankly taste better too The prices are a bit more pricey than other places but you pay for quality and better service at the checkout counter you have 2 people at all times scanning and bagging your items which I find very convenient and wonderful. That is, if you're willing to wait about 15 minutes or so you can get served some genuinely tasty sandwiches right in front of you during lunch/supper. There's a variety of meat, mostly tending on the middle eastern type of cuts of meat and marinades (shish-taouk, shawma, kebbe, etc.) but pretty much anything you want can be available. Supporting these smaller business is important as they are the lifeblood of the local economy. The staff was friendly and cost very reasonable. Give it a try, it's worth your time... also get dinner at the same time. :)
