Guy at the counter likes to profile and pick people to choose to yell at. I pulled into a handicapped parking spot with my permit in full display and went to get a cart. He got in my face and yells at me that we're not allowed to use carts unless we're at the return machine. Then he gets in my face again outside after I had informed him I was disabled and tells me he can always tell me to leave for my attitude. Once I get inside he yells at me again telling me they only refund up to 35 dollars when I only had a bit over 10 dollars in returns. Finally when I asked him for help in the refund process getting my cash he barks at me and treats me as if I am a complete idiot. read more

We have used bottle drop for awhile and when you drop your green bags off at Fred Meyer or Safeway it's always full and begins to waste your fuel trying so often. I have taken them to the Tigard bottle drop redemption center and it's never full and you get credit so quick. FG is closer so we came here today. I printed more bag tags and dropped off a few bags and 20 minutes later they were already credited in my account! I think it costs a bit more to take them to a redemption center but it's well worth it when you waste fuel money constantly going to full store drops! read more

I was there when they opened on 3/3/26. The guy working should straight up be fired!!! Apparently he likes to harass disabled senior citizens. He has an aggressive attitude. We definitely will not return. Also this guy likes to make up laws and try to intimidate you with it. He tried to tell me that a cop said stuff to him. I told him I would like to talk to that cop. He turned red and was so angry. I watched him when we went in. He continued to stare at us with anger and hate in his eyes. As for me I thought his attitude was based off some kind of mental issues wanting more power. I don't like to deal with people with so much hate & anger. Better to stay away. A side note about this, I am a retired police sergeant. I know the laws of what he was trying to intimidate us. So I also know he was full of crap with his lies!! Hopefully someone will see this and his attitude and fire him. He should not be working around senior citizens!! read more

Overall great Idea but with that said I was at the King road location at 5 minutes to close and all I wanted was to get a box of bags ... and all of the busy bees were cleaning u and the one employee that could get them straight u said it is 6 and we are closed I said really and this poor excuse for a woman just turned and walked away as I felt so defeated . This redemption center has an employee onsite for assistance, hand-counted, bag tags kiosk, and a bag drop off door. I've only been to this place a few times but totally satisfied all 3 visits! Thank goodness for a less stressful way to do my cans! read more

Has anyone wanted to feel like a super hero? Here is what you do. 1) Sign up for a BottleDrop account. 2) Go pick up some Green Bags and stickers from a BottleDrop center or Fred Meyer. 3) Collect cans and bottles at your home and bag em up. 4) Take them to your BottleDrop center. You can jump the usually long line, avoid any uncomfortable conversations and arguments due to the long wait and go on with your day. I see that there are mostly bad reviews here. If these other 6 people would switch to the green bags, I am almost 100% sure that all those reviews would flip to 5 stars. The cost of the bags is minimal and the reward of the return of money and helping the environment will make you feel like a super hero. read more

Tawny the condescending assistant manager was very hostile and aggressive because they didn't want to recycle 30 extra cans. I understand that the limit is 50 but she didn't have to get the way she got and belittle me. She is extremely unprofessional and started raising her voice at me when I asked her why she was being so hostile. Then she said "you think I'm hostile. I'll show you hostile." TAWNY DOESNT KNOW HOW TO TALK TO CUSTOMERS AND NEEDS HELP. She then told me "do you know how to read the sign". Which was very rude and what if I didn't know how to read. That's messed up. Tawny belittled me in front of a lot of people. When I I asked for her name and she refused to give me any information. I asked to speak to a manager or help about getting any information about talking to someone higher up but she refused. She said I am the assistant manager like she was superior. Luckily Brandon defused the situation and calmly talked to me about the situation. He told me to come back another day to speak to a manager. Brandon should be assistant manager instead of this young condescending hostile little girl. Brandon needs to take her place and she needs to go Tawny. Long waits, but the employees here are super nice and friendly. I appreciate the older gentlemen at front and the young man with glasses. I haven't have any bad experience here but just wild and strange customers waiting in line. read more

Pro: Very helpful, kind, and patient staff. I was really impressed. Many people would snap dealing with such a job. Drop off is 24/7 with camera monitoring, Still kinda seems like someone could card in and relabel bags. Con: Crazy people there on drugs bugging customers and staff. Stinks like a sewer. Needs more staff. Like double or triple. Needs more machines. I just wanted bags but it was so busy that even getting someone to register was hard because all the machines were taken with a huge line and people asking questions. We went in got our cans and bottles returned, no machines breaking down, in minimal time...I love this place and will be back!!! The staff wasn't the friendliest but I wouldn't be either dealing with the jerks coming in!!! So I just smiled and bothered them as little as I had to!! My wife walked in at 6:00 pm just to get bags. I understand that's their closing time, all they have to do is say we are closed, Insted, In a raised voice said I KNOW YOU SAW THE CLOSED SIGN! My wife tried to say sorry but got cut off with.ITS THERE FOR A REASON! That is absolutely no way to talk to a customer. Also being my wife walked in at 6:00 and no-one was near the sign it was obviously turned off before 6:00. We have sent an email to the company about the experience, but it is clear they let the employees talk to people this way being she didn't hesitate at all. read more

The Bottle Drop in Forest Grove is a Business that has gone up and above each time I go in. The Manager Mary and employees Ben and Amanda for a few. Always take the time that you need to answer your questions and help you. They are professional, knowledgable, and always with a smile. In 2016, there were at least 4 different sites to redeem bottles and cans in our area, and at least 15 machines where you could just walk up and get busy redeeming. Now, with the BottleDrop Redemption Center, all those machines are replaced in our area with just three. THREE. You could say four if you count the machine you are supposed to use only if you have a few bottles, but you definitely can't count the membership machine, as it is not a just-walk-up-whomever-you-are-and-use. How is going from almost 20 machines to 3, or even 4, an improvement? I will say that the staff is always helpful, and their treatment of people who have mental disabilities and other challenges is outstanding - always caring and attentive, and I have really, really appreciated seeing their care. But now, on Fridays or Saturdays, your wait to recycle bottles and cans will be way, way longer than in 2016, when there were so many more machines all over our area where you can redeem cans and bottles. A supreme disappointment... and there's no alternative, you have to use it, because there's no longer any choice to go somewhere else. read more

I went to this awful smelling place to return my recyclables today. This was the first time I was there and was "greeted" by a female employee who barked at me that 2 of the machines are broken, get in line, and they are closing in 10 minutes. This was the treatment all customers got from her. She barked something else at me, and I politely let her know that it is very unpleasant to be treated like this when I was in there for the very first time. She doesn't listen, doesn't understand how to treat new customers, doesn't treat return customers well, doesn't know the meaning of introducing new customers to their system. Good customer service begins at the opening of the business in the morning, until after the closing time. The last customer should be treated as well as the first. Being disrespectful to customers isn't good customer service. I will not return to this pit of stink and nastiness. read more
