At night, it becomes a full-service bar with speciality cocktails, friendly staff, and great energy. My go-to drink at the time is the Stoner Bashing Thyme cocktail, which is a refreshing and amazing mix of Angostura Rum, stone fruit purée, Falernum, lemongrass-thyme-schizanda syrup, fresh lemon, lime, and orange. The bar is unique and provides a great experience every time you go. If the speciality cocktails aren't your thing, they feature numerous drafts, whiskeys, and wines as well. If you're in Downtown Historic Sanford, give Imperial a try; you wont regret it. The bar is hardly ever busy so expect prompt service from the bartenders, and for your thirst to be satisfied quickly.

Be careful where you put your drink, especially without a coaster as there is good chance that table you are setting it on is for sale. You may come for a drink and leave with a new piece of furniture for your house... On this visit I got one of their special drinks of the day. It was a variation on the Manhattan. It was ok, I think the bartender made it well, I was just not a fan of the flavoring. Sounded better than it was. It is a cool spot to hangout for a drink or two and worth a visit next time in Sanford.

Had never been to DeLand, but once we got here, and saw the Venue we were pleasantly surprised. The check in process was flawless, and they had a massive food truck with tons of wonderful options. They had an outdoor and indoor bar, fully staffed, with lots of drink options. The bar is very punk rock, with lots of nostalgic memorabilia hanging from the walls. Lots of neon with the angst of chaos amongst the stickers and art. I felt very at home, and this was the perfect venue to host ska music. I highly recommend people to take the time to appreciate the love they have put into this place that's hidden down the alley of this beautiful small town. My wife and I frequent both locations weekly. The store is within walking distance of our home so it is a quick easy spot to grab a snack, drink or cigar for that fun night out on the town. I would say that Kevin's prices are fair market value when compared to other convenience stores in the area. There have been occasions where I have been able to get a bottle of Jim Beam or Makers Mark at a better price than ABC or Walgreens. On a side note, if you love Bud Light Platinum this may be the only place you can find it in a 12 pack or more. I am not sure why 12 packs of Platinum are so rare but if you need it Kevin's almost always has it. The parking lot can be quite active so be prepared to navigate around other people who cannot park, drive in general or just don't know how-to walk-in public. This is part of the reason we like to walk here but I guess that's how it is when your business is located at the intersection of French Ave. and 20th street in Sanford. The staff here are always helpful and friendly. The guy who is usually working in the liquor store is awesome at helping you find what you need at the best price. I feel is a great way to keep customers coming back. If you are visiting Sanford for a fun day/night out, stop in to Kevin's before heading downtown. There is something for everyone here, you might just save some Moolah and enhance your overall experience visiting Sanford.

The ambiance was inviting, stylish, and felt like the perfect setting for a weekend experience with friends. The food overall was good. The shrimp and grits were definitely the highlight for me full of flavor and well done. The steak, however, wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the mark. The fruit bowl was exactly that fruit in a bowl nothing special but fresh. The banana pudding was delicious and a sweet way to end the meal. The service was a bit inconsistent, which I believe was due to the waitress being very busy. There were a few moments where we waited longer than expected for menus, straws, or even water. While noticeable, it didn't completely take away from the experience and felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care. Overall, I would absolutely return for brunch with friends. The atmosphere alone makes it worth another visit, and with the right company, it's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed and beautiful brunch experience.

For appetizers, we tried the coconut shrimp, Table tots, spinach dip, and charcuterie. Everything was fantastic except the shrimp, which were a bit overcooked. The rest of the starters were flavorful and well prepared. Most of our group ordered the NY strip since they were out of the filet, while others chose the meatloaf, mushroom pasta, and a few other dishes. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. While the strip wasn't the best I've had, it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a bit hit or miss. We tried all the pies -- most were decent and nicely presented, though nothing stood out. The salted caramel cheesecake had a grainy texture rather than being smooth. Service was friendly, but a little rushed. Courses came out too quickly, making it hard to enjoy each one before the next arrived. The table became crowded with plates, and the pace felt chaotic at times. The server was kind and seemed possibly overwhelmed. Overall, a good meal with solid food, but pacing and a few execution details could use some attention.

This will definitely be a place to go when we visit our friends. This is what the name implies, a bar, nothing else. They have tables, seating at the bar and high-top tables. They have a few food options, mostly appetizers with a few sandwiches and quesadillas. We did not get any food since we had just eaten dinner. Apparently, their cowboy candy is the most popular item, its candied jalapenos over cream cheese with crackers. Maybe next time. They do sell bottle beer; it is really what most of the alcohol consists of. They do have their menu divided into categories so if you know what you are looking for it helps. They also have draft beer which rotates throughout the year, so there might be something new on the menu. I personally am not a huge fan of specialty beer like sours, and porters, but my husband is so he really enjoyed looking through the different options. I honestly cannot remember the two beer my husband tried but I know one had a really high ABV and the other one was really sour. He seemed to enjoy both, so I guess that's good. I choose to get a glass of wine instead. They have only a few wine options but also have mead. I have never had it before, but our friends were very much fans of it. The wine selection is small, but I just went with a Moscato. All in all, this is a fine bar if you are in the area. I would say if you were not a beer fan this might not be for you. They do not make any liquor style drinks only beer and wine. All in all, not bad, we would for sure go back when visiting friends in the area.

We each got burgers, and 2 appetizers, the pretzel and the kettle chips with blue cheese and balsamic reduction. The balsamic reduction was not a reduction - it was practically straight balsamic vinegar that pooled on the bottom and soaked the chips. Couldn't eat them. The mustard with the pretzel was great though. The burgers were a mess, and were not even patties - just chunks of ground beef held together with cheese. And it didn't taste like a burger. It was simply awful. We each took a bite then walked out. Fortunately you pay and order at the bar before you even sat down so we could just get out of there. The hose made kettle chips they advertise with Wop's seasoning - we literally saw the cook open a large bag of store bought chips and sprinkle pepper on them. We went somewhere else to eat after this. We're really own upset that they marketed their food as something it was clearly not. If you're all about the beers this place would probably be good. Just don't order food. Except the pretzel. That was decent.
