after completely missing breakfast in Washington I needed more than a cookie to satisfy my hunger. fortunately I found Bottle Rocket adjacent to my gate with a few open seats looking out over the terminal parking. started with a negroni because I saw the house cocktail list before the luncheon menu plus it's been a while since my last. with the ice doing its magic I took a look at the day's offerings and went with the chicken ques on recommendation. nod to the barkeep as the orange forward cocktail set the ques off nicely. standard four slice service with pots of salsa and sour cream besides the salady bits to load each wedge with flavory goodness. plenty of cheese in here gently holding chunks of lightly seasoned bird in place; cheese gets a little stiff at the end but that's a good indication the AC is keeping up so no deduction. was it the best $20 I ever spent? probably not... would l do it again? probably so... add twenty more for the drink, a couple bucks for the taxman, and at least a fin for the barkeep! and that my friends is airport food :-) read more

The lady behind the counter totally ignored my presence as well as that of another customer. The other customer decided to sit. I went looking for any employee who would speak to me. One guy avoided any eye contact by staring relentlessly into his computer screen. I ventured in to the far end of the bar where I found a nice lady who guided me back to the original lady who was good at ignoring. The nice lady told the rude lady I needed to place an order. The rude lady was very hard to understand but I finally got my order placed. I ended up with an extremely cheesy yet tasteless quesadilla. There are for sure better options at MSP but Bottle Rocket offers an efficient option for those of your flying out of the Terminal 1 c gates. The staff is friendly but focused (they are often understaffed) and the food is pretty similar in to what's offered at Twins Grill and Stone Arch. read more

Pros: staff was friendly and doing their best to help everyone at a busy place. Being to one side of the terminal, it wasn't as crowded as other places. Portions were large. Cons: pricey for pretty blasé food. Very greasy spoon, but $16, I was hoping for more flavor than quantity. The entire ordering system is done via QR code - normally that's a plus, but the interface was not intuitive. More than half the customers just flat out gave up on trying, making the server more tech support than a server. Overall, interesting concept that isn't hitting the mark. Should've just grabbed a breakfast sandwich at the kiosk down the way. read more

I stopped in for breakfast before my flight. I ordered the American Breakfast. The American Breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, toast, and cooked potatoes. Service was fast. The food was good. Small restaurant vibe in a busy airport terminal. I enjoyed some coffee as well. Waitress was nice and friendly. It wasn't busy at first but started picking up as time went by. Seemed like frying oil wasn't that fresh, sort of a weird aftertaste. Other than that, the quantity was generous, the chicken was good quality, and the food was freshly prepared. The fries and chicken tenders had the same aftertaste. Maybe it was a bad day for this place, really wanted to like it with the modern ambience and convenient location next to some Delta gates. I'm sad to see the one stars. I agree with Amanda K. (Great review BTW). I was greeted immediately as I was walking in by the only server. As she was taking a tray back she wanted to make sure I knew that they were out of an item. I ended up getting the burger and a bottle of wine. The bun was just how I like it, butter toasted. I was surprised by the cheeses. I thought they'd be overwhelming, but it was actually pretty good. My other half, not being very hungry, got the Chicken Tender Melt. He ended up eating it all. Sorry I didn't get a pic of it. It was was made with Texas toast though, not a bun. He said that this is where he and coworkers hang during lay overs. The server was wonderful. She was very engaging and happy. She's the poster child for great customer service. I really enjoyed the range of music that was playing. I would recommend checking out this place. Great wine list. I'm guessing the menu must change as there is no pasta, mentioned in another review. read more

For airport food this was a really good experience. Our waitress was very kind and attentive, and the food came out super quickly which is usually not the case. It's nice because it's a little farther away from the busier parts of the airport so if you're looking for a quick and quiet space to eat I highly recommend. The burger was juice, Italian sandwich was flavorful, and a fun place to start off before your trip! read more

Pretty sure they just forgot to start my order and only made it when I already complained about it. By the time they gave the food to me, I've already lost my appetite. I hung out at Bottle Rocket during a 4hr layover in MSP. I really enjoyed the food & atmosphere. The menu is varied - with the only bummer being you can't make substitutions - but there's something for everyone. I had the double cheeseburger w/fries. Folks around me had salads, other sandwiches, pasta, roasted potatoes - all of which looked delicious. The beer and wine list is decent & the staff is friendly. Lots of seating -- bar, booths, tables, and some additional bar top seating overlooking a runway. It's accessible and convenient in terms of getting around. It was busy, but not overwhelmingly so for a Sunday travel day. There are TVs at the bar large enough to see from most tables and plugs under every booth station which made working remotely a breeze! Pricing is comparable to general airport restaurant pricing. Definitely recommend if you're near this gate! read more

So I went to this restaurant at the airport and this guy saw me waiting and ignored me and went to give service to the white people so I went to a darker skin employee and they still didn't want to give me hot water... but what ever he literally went and asked another employee if he could give me hot water but anyways I got the hot water in the end for my tea but the service was incredibly rude and racist. read more

Rick's cheerful can-do attitude is a salve for the soul of a weary traveler. Food's pretty decent too. Little potato wedges were crispy on the outside and pure comfort food soft on the inside. Sorry to disturb y'all. I ordered the flashcraker wings and it came with human hair on my salad. I didn't want to cause problems so I skipped the salad and ate my wings . The food was $14.99 and I ordered a small glass of (orange juice x2 ) and the guy who served me was the same dude who billed me . He ended up charging $29 + for the total cost. He was so unprofessional,didn't use gloves and hold my straw with his bare hands and not friendly at all. He dashed my food down on the table like he didn't want to be there. There's no orange juice on the menu and I know For sure this dude took advantage of me . As a business owner I won't treat customers with this type disrespect. Never eating here again. read more
