Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon with a friend to browse for some goodies. The store was very organized and had a decent selection for most items, but I was unimpressed with their cider options. It was disappointing that they really had no variety of ciders, so I opted not to buy anything. My friend was able to find everything he wanted and more, but I definitely couldn't say the same. This is an ideal spot for picking up basics or gifts, but I wouldn't return for my own personal purchases. read more

My favorite liquor store for a quick, reliable, inexpensive booze refill. The beer selection is great, including the NJ-brewed variety. I grabbed my locally brewed Arrogant Bastard Ale, and went to brag about it to my friends. The wine selection is impressive, too, but no one cares. Are you still reading? Whiskey. Brandy. Vodka. Cheap (especially if you're their "card" member). Enough parking for a Justin Bieber concert. Buy some discounted wine (the second cheapest, as always) and claim it's Henri Jayer Richebourg Grand Cru, Cote de Nuits, the Modovian version, the one with the grapes that only saw the sunlight at 45 degree angle. Walked in there trying to find two wines I liked and came upon an employee so I asked for some help. He was already on his phone and when I asked him for help, he looked at me like I wasn't even there and walked away!! I went looking by myself and he was in the next isle on his phone again!! The staff working here are pretty knowledgeable about what they have in stock and are very helpful if you need help narrowing down the choices. I have been here a few times and it seems that the beer selection has been growing which is always a good thing. Parking is plentiful and the store can get pretty busy. Just made a stop here to pick up some wine. I am an absolute novice when it comes to wine & I really have no clue what I'm doing when choosing a bottle. This store makes it easy for a novice like me to find the right bottle. First off, they have a vast selection to choose from & they also break the entire section down by the different countries to which the wines come from. The store then makes sure to promote the pick of the month for each different country & have a little write up about those particular wines. I was looking for a Chilean wine & I noticed right away a bottle next to the pick of the month. This bottle also had a small write up about it & while reading it, it sounded like the right choice. To make it even better they had a discount for it for Club Members, which I am. I was then able to find a nice bottle of white wine that also had a discount for Club Members, so I grabbed that too. For a novice like me, I found it very easy to find some good wine. I'm very much looking forward to having some later on today! read more

So this Bottle King here is quite a small location. If you're a beer enthusiast though then head on over! Not to be forgotten are the wine drinkers! They carry an excellent selection of wines, some of which do go on sale to card members. When it comes to alcohol, just remember that it's not a bad thing if it's on sale! When it comes to beer they carry an excellent selection of brewers, not an extensive selection, but an impressive one nonetheless. They do stay on top of the seasonal selections which is something I always look for. Usually it's a bad sign when you see a winter ale from last year peaking at you through the glass. If you need case purchases they will give you a hand and there's some good deals to be had as well! read more

Way smaller than the one I'm use to on 17 but this one is literally 3mins away from my home. I find it harder to find what I'm looking for in here but that's not a big deal. Mostly buy liquor for cooking. Myself a great cook and my fiancee is a Chef. But the emo looking cashier has a personality of a stale 8 month old French fry found stuck between your car's seat. The epitome of doing a lot with a little. The space is limited; however, the inventory is deep. Illustrative of same- they have Storybook Mountain Vineyards 2008 red, which is outstanding, but not excessive. The beers are in the refrigerated cases in the back and impressively deep for a limited space. Simultaneously, Bottle King offers a selection of spirits that is deep enough to compete with most liquor stores in the area. Equally impressive is the service. It's rare to be in the store for more than 5 minutes before someone on the floor asks if you require assistance. The lack of one star is strictly attributable to the lack of space- a bigger space and a deeper inventory would make Bottle King the undisputed champ of the Northern Valley. read more

Great liquor store. My go to liquor store of choice and in town. They don't have as much as Total Wine, obviously due to lack of space but they have a great selection of craft beer, hard alcohol, wine and 30 packs. Their staff is very accommodating as they always greet you and ask if you need assistance. Their prices are fantastic as well. read more
