This place was a perfect choice for a evening meal: highly recommended. It's located just adjacent to a quaint neighborhood square in Tropea, off the beaten path. The restaurant has been newly outfitted and is very charming. Stepping down into a wonderfully lit piece of Calabrian Charm. The waitress was very helpful; especially with my poor Italian... It was a "to take" night as my wife sent me out to hunt down our food. Obviously she told me right where to go-picking by a chance a true Gem. We made it a steak and Italian potatoes night- the steak was applewood smoked on a grill with whole black pepper corns and cracked salt with special Italian oils and herbs of choice; cooked to my liking. The priscuito fritttas, and Italian smoked pork sausage frittatas (potatoes) were a fantastic compliment. It was a bit of an adventure finding my way back to our hotel up on the bluff, navigating the narrowing streets of Tropea. But I was the Hero when I walked in with the food. I forgot to mention it had The BEST local Belgian Pale Ale beer I've tried in Italy. Very highly recommended restaurant that we will revisit! read more
