I've seen a few therapists over the years; what really stands out about Colleen is that she has been so adept at helping me hone in on core issues, and has taught me how to maintain focus on these core issues. I appreciate the level of excellence and professionalism as well as the feeling of belonging and home I feel when I come into the office. I've been in counseling for about two years there now and the things I've had to work through have been really difficult but I feel and see myself changing and becoming more free in many areas. I saw Corey Cotton for about a year while navigating complex trauma. While he was kind and I…read morebelieve he meant well, I often felt emotionally unsupported and misunderstood during some of my most vulnerable moments. Early on, he provided his email, which I understood as a way to share what I couldn't easily express in session. It was only much later that I learned those emails weren't being read. That discovery deeply impacted my trust and left me feeling dismissed. At times when I was most overwhelmed, the focus seemed to shift toward managing risk rather than offering emotional support. These experiences left me feeling isolated rather than helped. The clinic itself was always professional and responsive, and I do believe Corey cares--but in my experience, he was not adequately prepared to support trauma clients. I hope this helps others in finding a therapeutic relationship that offers the safety and attunement trauma survivors need.

I was having some resurgent trauma-related problems from being assaulted in the past and was seeking guidance through them. Calling to set up an appointment was straightforward, I had read the online profiles of the professionals and asked if I could see someone in particular (as of writing this review on Saturday 17 June 2023, the person is no longer listed as working at Bluestone). After describing my situation to the receptionist, they said that it sounded like the person I was requesting could be a good fit. So we scheduled an intake appointment in an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the first appointment we set up weekly sessions thereafter until I was feeling confident enough to part ways with the therapy about two months later. I received a bit of talk and EMDR therapy in my sessions. The therapist was never short with me and I found the treatment effective for helping me work through my problems. She was professional in our sessions and never prying. I have continued to use some of the things I learned in the sessions after stopping the therapy sessions.

I felt that she was very impersonal and straight to the point. I never felt that much compassion from her. In addition, I felt that she did not have great bedside manner or manners with me at all. I felt her customer service to me was not that great. I had to cancel at the last minute a couple of times due to an emergency, and the practice and Dr. Peng told me they had to charge me a fee. Bluestone showed me no mercy, and Dr. Peng did not seem to show me any either. I felt that she also did not properly understand my conditions either. I also didn't like that when I made no follow up appointments with her that Dr. Peng reached out to me multiple times and asked me if I was interested in continuing with her. Well obviously, if I have not called you or made an appointment with the practice in months, it's evident I am no longer interested. In the end, I am glad I left. I would not recommend this practice or Dr. Peng at all. In my opinion, they have no understanding for when life situations come up and I did not feel there was good communication or compassion towards patients either by either Dr. Peng or the staff of bluestone.

The scheduler handled my insurance, reached out to my Dr. for a referral and scheduled me several weeks out so I didn't have to worry about that later. Lexi was my PT and she was the best. Because I'm pregnant I was limited in what I could manage; she modified stretches and made sure I was comfortable while still providing relief. I reported my pain level an 8/10 at our first appointment and by the last one, it was 3/10. I'm still doing stretches daily and while it flares up every now and then, I can function again. I received massage therapy for about a year here with a good therapist who took his job and my health very seriously, but he left. They have been booking way out and have not hired anyone else, so I had to take an appt. elsewhere as I am a 66 y.o. woman with quite severe hip, neck, back, and knee pain. When I came in last week on my spring break (I'm a teacher), I tweaked my upper hip getting out of the car, and went inside. I paid my copay, and was waiting for Mia to come out. The front office staff member told her I had pulled on a muscle, so when Mia came out I explained that I better not have that area worked on, and also at my one appt. I could find a week before, the therapist used hot stones around my neck, and together with the high stress I'm under (my mother is dying and daughter in crisis), I was recovering from a stress rash around my neck, so please don't work there. But I still needed to get relief/have the long awaited treatment on my lower hips, upper back, legs, arms, etc., to which she replied with a rude tone of voice and facial expression: "For An Hour??" I tried to explain that yes, I needed it, as my steady therapy was not available. She then said: " I have a waiting list of 100 people". I said, I'm here waiting to get help for my pain and you're telling me about how many people are on your wait list? To which she said: "I didn't say that"... (a complete lie-she just said it). So..... Her attitude of complete lack of concern for the clients welfare, lack of professionalism, care or intention to H-E-L-P me get the therapy for which I came there, lead me to never want to go back again. She is not fit to serve as a health care provider, and even though our region has a shortage of massage therapists, you want to avoid going to IRG Silverlake with Mia, who will treat you rudely and inappropriately if she feels like it, no integrity whatsoever. Also in the one prior appt. I had with her, it was at a very lackluster and mediocre skill level. I would like to add that the director did call me and took notes on what happened, and did apologize, which was appreciated. I do think that based on my experience over the year, that he Does Care about the quality of service they provide to their clients seeking treatment from pain and mobility issues. However, their lack of hiring someone to cover the need of clients for three months is troubling (I don't know to what extent he is responsible). Health Care is in a seriously difficult situation though now, financially and otherwise, and I had tried to give the benefit of the doubt, until being treated with such a low level of concern for the welfare of my health, and the basics of how to treat a client with courtesy and care.
