Medium elote & Mangonada
Margaret Q.

Terrell needed a new /update snack shop with good food! Thank you all for bring this to Terrell!!! So it was 752pm (most place will close and all food out away) and I called to make sure they were still open to serve. Sure enough they were and my elote was fresh and mangonada was AMAZING "on point"We will be back!

customers at the counter - A restaurant counter features digital menu screens displaying food options, with staff members preparing orders behind the counter. The front of the counter has a sign illuminated with the words "Order Here" and a popsicle graphic. There are decorative plants and a bottle of hand sanitizer on the counter, with a ceiling light fixture overhead. The setting appears to be a casual fast-food or quick-service restaurant.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory - Strawberry Dubai chocolate cup

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is one of those places that makes you smile the moment you walk…read morein. The shop smells like pure happiness--warm chocolate, pistachios, and all the good things in life. Their Strawberry Dubai Chocolate Cup is the standout: rich, silky chocolate paired with bright, luxurious strawberry flavor. It tastes like a tiny, decadent getaway in every bite. But what really sets this location apart is how thoughtful they are about all their customers--four‑legged ones included. They even make edible milk‑bone-style treats for dogs, crafted from ingredients pups can safely enjoy. It's adorable, unexpected, and honestly such a charming touch. The store is always clean and inviting, the staff is friendly and patient, and the whole experience feels personal and fun. Whether you're grabbing a treat for yourself or bringing home something special for your dog, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory delivers every time.

I went there for them to honor an ad that was sent to me by email Terrell Rocky mountain chocolate…read morefactory and they told me that manager wrote it incorrectly and I couldn't get what the ad stated. My daughter and I were very saddened about this entire ordeal. The manager stood back and looked as the young lady made up an excuse to not honor something they claimed to offer. Now it clearly stated that I could have 1 apple with any 1 nuts that were listed, for $5. They refused to honor it although I only ordered a caramel pecan apple, that's one nut. I gave up and me and my daughter left. I would never go back to that one again. The one in Mansfield and the one in Rockwall is much better. The one in Terrell is deceiving and dishonest. I would not send anyone there. It clearly says "Today and Tomorrow only, get any Caramel & Nut Apple for $5.00! Choose from Almonds, Peanuts, Pecans, Walnuts or Mixed Nuts!!" They email this to me July 1st and I went July 2nd. Clearly I was still in the date range. That ruin everything for me with that location. The past owners were so kind and sweet.

As of 1/18/25, the restaurant has closed. This place used…read moreto be the nicest restaurant in Terrell. The fun, eclectic decor is still there, although the ceiling train no longer runs, but unfortunately the restaurant has really slipped. When we walked in, there were a few other diners in the restaurant, and the staff had evidently gotten behind on clearing tables. We were seated at a table, and the hostess took our drink order. We looked at the menu (which no longer includes prime rib or BBQ) and the waitress took our orders for steaks and salads. We sat for a good 15 minutes, and then the waitress came out with our steaks. We had to ask for our salads because she had totally forgotten them! The steaks were just ok. They were covered with W Sauce, which we would not have chosen if we'd been asked beforehand. The sides were Ok, especially the broccoli and cheese, but nothing special. The waitress did ask if we wanted dessert but we declined. Sadly, unless there's a major change, we probably won't go back. The restaurant needs to get back on its game, and quickly.

Cole Mountain has been a great restaurant to have dinner at with for the last decade or so but…read moresadly me and my family will not be returning to this establishment. For some very odd reason, that I cannot even begin to fathom, they have just decided to remove their iconic "chopped BBQ beef sandwich" from their menu. POOF...GONE! WHY? This is supposedly a BBQ place but I didn't see anything on the menu that could even be considered BBQ. Over the last few years I've noticed that every restaurant close to the down town area does everything they can to literally tank their own business and this is no exception. If the chopped BBQ beef sandwiches come back then me an my entire family will also.

They've even expanded beyond Texas to places like Tennessee and Northern Virginia. Everything is kept clean, especially the bathrooms. This particular location is on the smaller side, so I can't even imagine how huge the larger locations are. There's a wide variety of souvenirs from apparel and home goods to even pet items. Towards the back, you'll find a deli, a wall of specialty beef jerky, tons of snacks, plus brisket sandwiches and desserts, including fudge. We ended up spending a good amount of time here before getting back on the road. You can sample the jerky. I really liked the Honey Jalapeño and Maple Cherry (on the sweeter side). And don't leave without grabbing the beaver nuggets!

It's close to the highway with easy access. There's a hundred gas pumps. There are multiple entrances to the store. Even at 1pm on a weekday, it was BUSY! Inside, there's that Buc-ee's smell that hits you hard. Candied nuts and fresh brisket. And all the other stuff you can see - jerky and fudge and soda fountains and Icees and a wall of candy. It's practically a ritual. Of course, we had to stop to visit the restrooms. Mrs. K. confirmed that the ladies side was excellent and I could see that the men's side was clean. I love the red/green lights to let you know which stalls are available or not. In addition to the fridge magnet, Mrs. K. added a BUC-EE'S ballcap to the collection along with two bags of the caramel drizzled Beaver Nuggets. Friendly service and everything else about it, just the way it is everywhere else. Awesome. [Review 404 of 2026 - 713 in Texas - 25587 overall]
