I saw Katelyn for pelvic floor physical therapy over the course of nine months or so…read more During my first appointment I was extremely nervous, but she insisted that we don't do anything that makes me feel uncomfortable. Throughout all of my visits she was very friendly, answered all of my questions, and extremely caring. Scheduling was pretty straightforward, although in the later months it seemed harder to get an appointment last minute and had to schedule a few weeks in advance for more popular times. However they did have a system where you can be added to the waitlist for a time and you will get emailed to see if you want to take that appointment which I thought was nice

As a former avid runner with a very on-the-go lifestyle, she thoughtfully incorporated exercises I could realistically do in my day-to-day routine, while still helping me rebuild the strength my ACL needed. She was always incredibly attentive--constantly monitoring my knee, paying close attention to every detail, and taking thorough notes. I truly appreciated how invested she was in my recovery. Lauren turned what could have been a scary experience into a completely seamless one. I'll really miss working with her as I move to NYC!! :(

Whats worse is I injured it on vacation and would have to walk up the stairs sideways while chasing my 8 year old. But what was it? The dreaded Achilles, my knee, hamstring? My knee was now moving side to side with pain in the front side and back So I called my doctor, she said to go to physical therapy before I could have a MRI and recommended PPT. So begrudgingly I went. I was pretty sure they couldn't fix what was broken beyond repair. But I was wrong. First step was assessing what was wrong which was a partially torn hamstring. Second step was correcting the problem with exercises to repair the hammy and strengthen the other parts around it. I am happy to report I am completely pain free and will start running yet again. One last thing: The therapists really care. Let me name them Summer, Heidy, and Ash. Many thanks for helping me walk and now run again. I am incredibly grateful.

I have been a patient at several other PT clinics for injuries, or Pre and post surgeries. South End's workouts get the job done. My walking improved within weeks and I grew stronger and steadier on my feet, under their care. Pain decreased dramatically. Don't compromise, you'll pay the same and get less results -- go to South End!

In short - I owe much of my achieving a challenging personal goal (couch to half-marathon in a few…read moremonths time) to RPT - and Suzanne especially. This is my first-ever Yelp post... I suppose it's obvious they did something right ;-) The staff is friendly, punctual, and knowledgeable as well. I asked a lot of questions, and even challenged what we were doing and why.... Suzanne (and Rita) were patient with me, and I came to appreciate that we were clearly on the right course. There was an epiphany or two as well, when Suzanne helped me understand the link between symptom, diagnosis, exercise, recovery, and my goal... Helping patients have that depth of understanding is critical, and knowing what goes on and why certainly helps me to treat the conditions correctly and with purpose. Dutifully doing exercises is a pain - doing things you understand to help you reach a goal is closer to a joy. And Suzanne helped me to understand how to treat my ailments outside of the facility - to become self-sufficient in regards to keeping my muscles in order. But - there's more... RPT has periodic running clinics, and they're both really inexpensive, well run, complete, and a great value. Imagine a personal assessment of flexibility and strength as it relates to proper running, AND a video-taped analysis to evaluate your stride, posture, foot landing and pronation, etc. Then imagine that this is done with qualified Physical Therapists (vs. a nice but less formally trained sales person at a shoe store...). Christina (who organizes these), and Michelle (who was the PT who worked closely with me throughout the assessment) were terrific. Finally, it was clear throughout that the staff cared about my goals, needs, concerns, and success. I couldn't wait to drop a note to report of my race results - and found they celebrated with me. The facilities are fine, the location and parking and such are fine - all the requisite things are there - but what made this experience special was the care that these individuals gave me. Nice job RPT - and thanks ! Doug

They have all gone above and beyond. They are thorough, and thoughtful about their work, and really take an interest in figuring out what is causing your pain. Goeff's Dry Needling provided me with relief for my TMJ for the first time in a couple of years. Elise found something in my neck/spine that had been previously missed by Health Care Professionals, and she took the time to speak directly (and promptly) with my doctors, and guide me in what steps I needed to take to get the help I required. She called me at home to check in several times while I got the scans and care I needed. I cannot say enough about how impressed I have been. I feel like I am finally getting the help I need after a bad car accident.

A healthcare hidden gem in Marblehead. Was always worth the ride from Salem and Beverly, but even…read moreso after I moved to NH. I've been to many chiropractors before and since and NONE even come close to Dr. Paul's level. His experience and compassion alone are enough to make him elite in his field, but beyond that is something I can only describe as an innate ability to diagnose and treat what even the best doctors can miss. After a spinal fusion that didn't go well, I was lucky enough to find Dr. Paul offering complimentary care at my daughter's dojang in Beverly (he's also a black belt in taekwondo). I had lost hope in finding any relief after a specialist I respected completely dismissed my asking if my SI joint could be contributing to my pain. According to the specialist who was Boston Medical's top spine surgeon, "SI joints don't cause pain." (In his defense, this was 10 years ago and the only literature that led me to this question was new research being done in Japan-today The Mayo Clinic is performing SI fusions to address the issue) After just watching me walk a short distance and without my saying anything at all, Dr. Paul pointed right at the source of my pain and said, "Your SI joint is out of whack." If I wasn't in shock at hearing that I probably would've burst into tears of joy. When you've been through multiple doctors, multiple modalities and surgeries with no progress, no answers... I'm sure you can imagine how I felt. Unfortunately, Covid has moved us a thousand miles away from NH and I can't make the trip as easily. I've had good and bad experiences with chiropractors since, but Dr. Paul is truly a master, perhaps the kind that only comes around once a generation. See him if you can!
