If you're looking to rehab an injury old or new but short on time to get to PT, you should…read moredefinitely call Luke. I decided to hire him after he told me a bit about the mobile PT concept. I'd gone to a different physical therapist in downtown Boston after injuring my knee during Boston Marathon training. I got very little attention and was there for way too long but I went out of necessity- I had to run. When I injured my shoulder a few weeks after the race, there was no way I was going to spend hours a week rehabbing it in PT so I left it alone and hoped it would heal. Of course, it didn't. The pain came back when I started working out regularly again which is around the time I met Luke. He came to my house for our appointment and was on time, very knowledgeable, and brought everything he needed with him. He worked out my shoulder, gave me customized exercises, and left me with an exercise band to use. He sent me my exercises right after he left and was diligent about following up to see if I needed to schedule additional sessions without being pushy or salesy. He genuinely wants to be a resource to his clients and I've felt better and more importantly gotten stronger with every successive session.

This year I trained to run my first marathon, and like most first time marathon runners, I ran into…read moresome issues with my hip. Half way through my training I could barely put any pressure on my left hip/leg, and was nervous I wouldn't be able to run this October. I called Luke, explained my problem and he immediately gave me a detailed breakdown of what the issue potentially could be and we scheduled our first appointment from there. Luke was able to come to my office for a session (which was very convenient for me, especially with my demanding schedule). During the first session, he gave me a comprehensive assessment of my hip, and spent about 90 minutes explaining and demonstrating hip strengthening exercises. He clarified what was happening to my hip as I ran and what I needed to do to relieve and prevent this pain going forward by creating a personalized plan for me. I had several other sessions with Luke and each time he was very thorough and attentive to my specific needs, assuring me that I would be able to run the marathon in the coming weeks. After each session, Luke would send me a breakdown of the exercises to complete at home and would check in on me between sessions several times. It is clear that Luke is very passionate and knowledgeable, and truly cares about every patient he sees. I HIGHLY recommend giving Luke a call if you have any aches or pains, or want to discuss anything related to physical or nutritional health. He is always willing to take the time to listen to you and his goal is to make you stronger, and even better than before. Not only did I learn so much about my muscles and the way they interact as I run, but I was able to strengthen my glutes and hip with exercises that I will carry forward to prevent this from happening again. I'm happy to say I was able to complete the Chicago marathon (without hip pain), and with certainty, I can say I wouldn't have been able to do it without Luke's help.

I've been going off again and on again to Pro X for almost a year now. I was originally going to…read morethe Boylston St location but switched to the High St location for convenience. Therapists at this location are incredibly knowledgeable. The staff here consists of mostly male therapists, except for my therapist Lisa (And Kelsey? Who might only be there part time not sure). I actually prefer a more male dominant clinic, as I find that the atmosphere can be more relaxed while still keeping a professional tone. I work as a professional ballroom dancer and came in for two injuries (knee and shoulder). Lisa has given me a program geared very specifically to my athletic ability. The skill sets and quality of physical therapists can range greatly. I've been to clinics where I've felt that I was not being challenged enough given the physical demands of my sport. Lisa has designed a program to optimize muscle rehabilitation with a concentration on exercises geared specifically to increase blood flow and nutrients to my knee and shoulder. Aside from being a great therapist, I find that Lisa is able to give a genuine warmth and sense of concern for her patients. While I've been to a number of very qualified male therapists, I find that they can sometimes lose their sense of human connection to the patient and I end up feeling like a cow in a factory line. In Lisa I see a great ability to empathize with patients, often putting their needs before her own. No matter how busy she is, or how early or late the day she always greets me with a genuine smile and a welcoming tone. Although I find all the exercise technicians to be competent, I have found Kyle to be the most knowledgeable and personable. He, like Lisa has a genuine care and interests in the well being of patients and is always very confident in his delivery of information on exercises. Eric acts as a mentor at the clinic, and has really been able to hone in on microscopic details in my rehabilitation that has helped to propel my recovery process. Jess, the clinic manger runs the best clinic I have ever been to. The office, while small is neatly kept, towels are always new, rug always clean, and table always sanitized. He has an incredibly staff that demonstrates customer services at its finest.
