Epic Fail! This is a warning to anyone interested in hiring this company for any event in which timing and professionalism is paramount.
After reading great reviews on Angie's List, I contracted, last January, with Boston Limo to supply two ten-passenger limousines for my daughter's wedding in July. They were extremely pleasant on the phone, had reasonable rates, and sent reservation confirmations immediately. Reservation confirmations were again sent to me a week before the event. All was perfect, or so I thought.
Limo #1 was to pick up the groom and groomsmen at the hotel and transport them to the church, which was approximately 25 minutes away. I specified the pick up time to be 4:15. With loading time factored in, I presumed the groom and his party to arrive at the church at 5:00 for the 5:30 ceremony. The limo arrived at the hotel at 5:05. Yes, 50 minutes late. During this unbelievably stressful wait time, both my husband and I were on the phone with the owner, John K. He gave us one convoluted excuse after another, including that his driver was there, but our wedding party was not. Our wedding party was standing in the middle of the road, waiting to flag the driver down when he finally arrived.
When they eventually arrived at the church, the guests were already seated, concerned, waiting, wondering what was going on. Why were there no ushers or groom?
Limo#2 was to pick up the bride, bridal party, my husband, and me at our home and deliver us to the church. This limo arrived five minutes late. The driver was anything but professional. His appearance was extremely sloppy: disheveled hair, dress shirt open and tie undone, belt undone. He did not help the women carry their luggage to the car. We needed to tell him, on at least two occasions, to please turn on the air conditioning as it kept going off.
My husband waited through the weekend, thinking John K. would contact us regarding Boston Limo's failure to perform. Finally, Monday afternoon, my husband called him. Of course, John was all apologies. He went on about wanting to personally apologize to my daughter and our photographer (who was the victim of one driver's wrath). After much banter, Mr. K. verbally agreed to not charge us for one limousine and would gather testimony from his drivers as to how to adjust the bill for less-than-professional conduct, and he would get back to us. Needless to say, my husband had to call him back six days later. Somewhere in that conversation were words regarding Boston Limo reviews on Angie's List and the like. An argument ensued between Mr. K. and my husband, whereby my husband let it go and hung up. Subsequent calls to the owner went unanswered. As I write this, 3 1/2 weeks later, the charges for one limo have dropped off my credit card, but no adjustment was made for the second one. So be it. I am beyond disgusted with this company and would not recommend Boston Limo to anyone. read more
