He called me the next day and said they were ready for pickup. They look good as new. The Staff here has a lot of experience and it shows. Excellent quality and minimal turn around time. I bought a bedroom set last summer from a furniture gallery's scratch and dent section. The problem…read morewas that the drawers' trackers were installed poorly and incorrectly. But, the deal was great, and everything else was in nice shape. I tried to fix the drawers, with no expertise on my part, but the fix only lasted a few months. So, I sought professionals to do the fix right. Furniture Techs was the best pre-appointment service, and when I got their quote at our appraisal appointment, I immediately hired them. Their prices are far below the inflated prices of some competitors in an admittedly specialized service market, and the previous reviews here on Yelp made me confident that I would get service. The confidence bore fruit. I got excellent service. He showed up on time. He was eminently professional, and he did his work quicker than I expected. And my dresser drawers slide better than new! That he guarantees his work for 1 year is like a second layer of icing on a cupcake: a wonderful surprise that makes it all the better. Now, while I do not hope I often have need of furniture repair, I know now to whom I'm going when I indeed need such work again.

Rick did the repairs at my place, so I didn't have to pay for transportation, and the repair itself was incredibly affordable. When he arrived, he explained exactly how he planned to repair the bed and how long to let it sit afterward; did the repair work quickly; and was super friendly and helpful. The repairs look great. Absolutely 100% recommended, and I'll go to Furniture Techs again if I need any other repairs or refinishing.

It was…read moreobvious that it was a high quality piece that used to be beautiful, but time, multiple moves, and cats had left the thing in shambles. I've never gotten anything upholstered before, but I wanted to salvage this chair before it got completely ruined. I emailed two upholsterers that I found online. Gary at Locatelli Smith got back to me immediately and his quote seemed reasonable (the other place didn't return my email until two weeks later, and their quote was higher). He asked what kind of color and pattern I had in mind and then brought over several books of swatches for me to look through. I wanted some time to mull over the swatch choice, so he let me keep two of the swatch books for a day or two. Upholstery fabric isn't cheap, so I really appreciated that I had the time to feel comfortable with my choice. Gary picked up the chair and the swatch books, and told me when the chair would probably be done. When he dropped it off, I couldn't have been happier. The chair looks beautiful, and it's obvious that the craftsmanship is very high quality. He added a little stuffing to the seat cushion, so it's even much more comfortable than it was before. The fact that Gary does house calls is really great. I got a refurbished chair and I didn't have to leave the house once.
