The folks I spoke with were super nice and they got a rollback to me quickly. The driver, Robert, backed up my driveway and asked what was wrong. I replied that I thought it was flooded. He raised the hood, fiddled with the carburetor and said the choke was stuck which made me feel pretty dumb but grateful. I got in and started cranking the engine while he held the choke open and it finally started. Ran rough for a bit but smoothed out pretty quickly. I was fully expecting at least a "dry run" fee but he wouldn't have it! I offered him a $20 for his trouble which he declined. They saved me a tow fee AND a repair charge!! Anywho. HORRIBLE SERVICE! I was in a accident 2 days prior to Christmas... It is now Mid-January and my insurance was just able to pick up my car today! After 3 attempts to pick up, Chubs Towing tells them they must wait 1 HOUR at the lot for someone to arrive to open the gate. My insurance gave a call 1 hour prior to arriving at all prior attempts and when they arrived? No one was to be found even after waiting quite a bit of time. Only after the third time, Chubs towing let them know they had to call once at the lot and wait an HOUR after that point. SO if you leave your car here, it will be left unattended all hours of the day and night. Hows that for security? Also, if you leave anything in your car... have fun waiting 1 hour at the lot before someone arrives to let you in. Should your car already be at Chubs.. SO SO sorry.. but let your insurance know to call once they get there and wait 1 HOUR.. hopefully they wont need to clear it with a supervisor to sit and wait for 1 HOUR without making other stops or picks up during that time. And also hope they do not charge you per attempt because who knows how many it will take. All in all... awful. Not to mention the truck ride into town on the day of my accident took a good 40 mins... since the driver and owner did not know how to get back to his own lot from the highway. He was a nice gentleman but according to my insurance adjuster, he was very rude to her and inconsiderate of MY time and my insurance's time. I felt that I had to leave a review so that if you've been in an accident and the Terrell / Elmo police call Chub's towing.. request another. WORST SERVICE EVER! My daughter was in a car accident and unfortunately I was unable to call my…read morefamily towing company so my insurance recommend this company. I figured at the recommendation of my insurance company they had to be pretty good. Well boy was I WRONG! It took their driver almost TWO hours to load my daughter's car and the other vehicle that was being towed. There was NO reason that it should of taken this long to load the cars. To add insult to the matter it took the driver THREE hours to deliver my child's vehicle to the body shop. I had to call the towing company three different times. The firs two times the only nice person from the company (the dispatch lady) was unable to find their driver. It took her sever (45 minutes) to locate the driver. She was very apologetic. Said she would def have the car to the drop off in 25 minutes. After waiting another 45 minutes from that point I then had to call and threaten to report the car stolen in order to get my car to it's destination after THREE hours. The dispatch lady was very understanding and assured me that she would call me once the car was dropped at the location (which she did) and said she would have the owner call me. (Which he did.) I have to say that I talked to Mr Irvy, owner of B&D and he was the absolute RUDEST man that I have ever spoke to. He had nothing but excuses after excuses as to why it too THREE hours to deliver my car. Said that he was sorry but I have to understand that things happen. When I asked three hours worth of things happening? I left the location at the EXACT same time as the driver and it did not take me three hours to get from accident site to first stop and from first stop the final destination. He said maybe next time I should use my regular company if I was so dissatisfied and while I was futher expressing my dissatisfication he hung up on me. RUDEST MAN EVER! DO NOT USE THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY! I pray that he never has a child involved in a car accident and have to waive THREE hours for help!

I was a…read moremechanic and never in my life have I seen a worse attention to detail. when I got my truck home I looked it over like I do with all my cars. my tool box was put on backwards. I had covers missing from my interior(which shouldn't have been touch). then the worse of it all, my rear bumper and receiver hitch had multiple bolts missing. I use my truck for work and haul a trailer. if that would have came off when I had my trailer there could be a lot of damage maybe including deaths. all that to say, b careful when getting your car done here. there mechanic does not care about detail. they just do it fast so they can get a paycheck. so make sure you take it to someone who care for details. even if it's just cosmetic.
