My car app showed that the vehicle remained parked in the same spot for three hours. During that time, no one opened or closed the hood, turned the ignition on or off, or opened and shut the doors. Yet I was called and told that the car was ready for pickup, only to be told afterward that the engine warning light can only be cleared at the dealership. I took my car to another local auto repair shop, got a free scan, and they were able to pinpoint a loose connection and fix the problem. This level of service and disregard for their customers time, energy, and money, is completely unacceptable. Run! (Photos for reference) Background- So I took my car for an oil change (super expensive!) last Friday and immediately, I too, had the engine light come on as I was driving it out the parking lot and didn't think much of it and thought it will reset. The light persisted throughout the weekend and Monday after work, took it back in. I was asked to leave my car there so they can take a look at it. So here I am without my car and need to get to work. I have a bad feeling about this reading some of the other people's negative experiences on here. Scott's (and they also own Carl's) staff is already trying to deny that they did something so I will update this post with the outcome of the situation.
