I recently visited Boss Tapas Burger and Brew and left impressed: live music energized us all, the ambiance was pleasantly inviting, and their service was good and super attentive. The fried cheese with the special sauce was a tasty start and must have again when I revisit!! . In addition, I went ahead and tried one of their favorites: a burger topped with a fried egg neatly stacked with lettuce/tomato/bacon! To top this off must try their oreo brownie bread pudding topped with a scoop of vanilla. It not only looked impressive as it was explosive in great flavor--highly recommended.
Food here is amazing, Especially the spicy BBQ Boss wings, Service was quick despite the amount of people. Ambiance was also so great since a band was playing today which was such a vibe.
Walked in on a Tuesday afternoon so they were not crowded at all. We did not have a reservation and we're able to be seated immediately. The waitress was great. She immediately sat us down took our orders and the food came out about 10 minutes later. They had drink specials, but I did not try any alcohol alcoholic drinks During this visit. It's in a very nice area with plenty of free parking. They have a lot of different decor in the restaurant which I thought was pretty cool and the bathrooms were decorated super cool however I did not have my phone with me when I went to the restroom so I was not able to take pictures. But if you visit, please take a look at the bathroom and the scenery, which is pretty cool .
Pros: so glad I finally checked out this spot! I had the Hialeah sandwich with cod croquetas and OMG, it was delicious! To keep in healthy I got the side salad, and it was better than I expected with a delicious cilantro aioli. Hubby had the burger and loved it, his fries were also 10/10. There is plenty of free parking and the music was good! Cons: it was a little hot, not sure if the AC was down because it was one of the few cold days in Miami.
Food was fantastic. Service was great. Very cute place. Burger was excellent and chicken tostones was great. Angie was our server and she was great.
We recently stopped in for dinner and the place was empty. Now normally that tells me, i might have something to worry about but in this case it just meant we had the place to ourselves! We sat at a big table in the back (7of us) and our waitress took our drink orders. Now lucky for me, i had my wife who speaks Spanish because i don't think our waitress spoke any English. The place itself is small, but it looks like a fantastic venue for a sporting event and i think they have live music later in the evening. We started with drinks, i got the Guava beer and it was delicious. For Apps, we got the fried gator bites, papi San pork and the bacon cheeseburger dirty fries. The gator bites were fried to perfection. Hot, crispy, meaty and not chewy. They were covered in a basil aioli that added lots of flavor. The papi San pork was tender and lathered in their "papi san " sauce which is just a sweet chili. Flavor was great and the meat melted in your mouth. The dirty fries were my sons pick. He loves bacon cheeseburgers and these were awesome! Huge tray of crispy fries covered in bits of burger, bacon and a cheese sauce. These were my favorite app! Then food wise, we had to go with burgers! (Even though there is a ton on the menu). I ended up with the Benny Burger - which had Munster cheese, herb cream cheese and guava. Flavors were surprisingly harmonious. So good! The all star seemed to be the smash burger. My wife and son got them and there wasn't a crumb left. THREE super thin Patties with plenty of cheese seasoned perfectly. What's not to like? Desserts were ok, but I'm not a sweets guy. My kids polished those off pretty quickly. We got the churros and the ice cream sandwich. For me, the churros needed a little more cinnamon sugar. All in all, we will definitely be back to try some more of this menu!
We ordered the Hawaiian tostochones, El Benny burger (and I added fried cheese) and El Tumbe burger (this one is huge!). The tostones didn't taste like the pulled pork was marinated for 24 hours. It was almost tasteless. I would have liked more flavor. The burgers were above average but were not extremely WOW. My husband ordered medium term and his patties were medium well. Also the burger could have used additional sauce for a most moisture feeling. I had the Guava Love cocktail and it felt very water down (it was during happy hour). For a Friday night the place was pretty empty, so our service was great.
Got here early. A little slow at first. But worth it. The food was delicious. Nice ambience. The servers were super nice. I must tell you our burgers were delicious. The loaded fries were crispy and great. Loved them. The bread pudding was ahh ok. But the bossnuelos were amazing. Will come again to brunch to try out! Loved it.
I've been really wanting to come here and decided to give it a try yesterday with my sister. Let me just say I am so glad I did! Great experience from beginning to end. Our waiter was an older lady and she was so welcoming, sweet and very attentive. My sister had a passion fruit mojito and I wasn't planning on drinking til I tried hers! Delicious! I got the pineapple mojito and it was so refreshing and not overly sweet at all! Really good balance. As an appetizer we had the bang bang shrimp and they were so freshly made! With a green sauce drizzle! Perfection! We do the beef nachos which were not only huge but soooo good! Seems like they make their own tortilla chips which made the experience so much better! The chips were soooo yummy, crunchy and flaky! The cheese sauce and all toppings went so well! We also shared the pancho villa burger that comes with bacon, guacamole and a sunny side egg! Omg! Sooo soo yummy! The fries were fried to perfection. And to end with a sweet touch we had their churros! MIND BLOWN! Perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar with a side of dulce de leche! So damn good! Highly highly recommend this spot! The place is impeccable inside and love the music playing in the background. Makes you want to stay for a while. Lol Great experience and will definitely come again!
Amazing local burger / beer spot. You get the "gourmet" burger without the gourmet price, they seriously have the most creative burgers in the area. If you're a fan of craft beer, their selection is also huge. I think the Tumbe burger is probably the best deal with a whole pound of beef and loads of toppings. It has everything a perfect burger needs - sweet, savory, salty, and saucy. Might be the messiest burger you'll have ever eaten though. Service is decent, but at a place like this I'm mainly focusing on the food. As long as my water is always refilled I'm happy! Which was the case. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!
So as always it was on my endlessly long and ever growing "yelp to see, go to, sample list". What a nice surprise, a hidden urban, cool joint, reminiscent of Wynwood, but in messy (I still love it) Hialeah no less. They just need to hire me to add to their art on their walls!!!! ( I could do better!) It has a super cool, nice cosy, modern urban look and it is surprisingly big inside. I truly hope that they survive the pandemic and are there for me to sit inside of an evening with hoards of other people. We all need to support local and especially NON chain establishments. I ordered their "awesome burger" and it certainly was that, big, super juicy and too much too handle. It was a reasonable 13 dollars and comes with a side of fries. So....? the burger had a lovely cheesy mushroomy onions kick to it. I wish my onions were more caramelized though. The fries were not evenly cooked, some more done than others, see my pics, but still aok. Also I would have personally preferred my burger (especially as it was oozing 'juices') not to have been sat next to the fries. Maybe wrap it in something or have a separate area in the "box to go?" I HATE SOGGY FRIES. However, as it was freshly made - ie ready in 15 minutes, and I was there for this designated time, it was not a problem... but never the less..also I was not asked if I want anything for the fries, so on pickup, I asked is their mayonnaise, ketchup? I will surely be back to try other delights and wish this establishment well and my support.

It was SO good! The decor was awesome... the burgers were phenomenal.... SUPER SAD to see it's closed!!! That's areal disappointment! It was an unbelievably delicious spot, people are missing out for sure! read more
Was craving a burger and this place hit the spot. Rather unassuming looking place both out side and in. Service was good. Beer selection was decent. Food came out quickly. Burger was great. Had the Cubanito burger with ham. Was legit. Fries were regular nothing special. Will definitely put this in my rotation while in the area. read more
I've left reviews several times of this place and I'll always leave one every time I go cause it's one of the few burger spots I go to when I want a burger and they never disappoint. So happy they're still around and will always support them. Love the ambiance, vibe, food and beer every time. I always opt for el Benny burger with sweet potato fries but I discovered they had a spicy el Benny that was perfection. Sweet, spicy and savory combo! tried the triple berry beer and it was really good too read more

Service slow. Food mediocre. Order Papi San Pork looked NOTHING like the picture on their website. The sauce they poured over was what gave it taste. Burgers were overcooked, lacked flavor. Beer; Single in Havana was good. read more

I have always seen this place whenever I am at Sedano's and have always wanted to try it out. I'm a huge fan of burgers so when I saw pics on Yelp, I bookmarked it because everything looked delicious. I went on a Thursday night, and nobody was in there. Our server took forever to take our order, took forever to bring our food and drinks out, and took forever to bring our check, I literally walked up the register just to give him my card without even seeing the bill.... we couldn't really understand why he was taking so long for everything since we were the only ones dining in. The ambiance looks nice, they're playing upbeat Latin music so that was cool, and I liked the fact that they had a lot of craft beers to choose from if that's your thing. The burgers we ordered didn't taste like anything, it was as if they wasn't any seasoning in the meat which was a huge disappointment. Also, the burger didn't come with anything on it except cheese and bacon so it was extremely dry..you have to literally ask for Mayo, ketchup, mustard etc. I've never had a burger that didn't come with pickles, tomatoes or lettuce either so that through me off. Overall, I was disappointed with the service and the burgers. If the name of your restaurant has the word burger in it, I would expect it to have bomb burgers. I will not be returning. I'm only giving 3 stars because the place looks cool and the beer options. (The onion rings and the sauce they come with were very good, but that's about it.) read more
Super cool bar / quick bites in Hialeah! Right off the highway and all the burgers are delish. I had the sliders and some of their gator bites with churros for desert. Great staff and better service! They even have live music on the weekends! read more

Hi Grace, thanks so much for the 5 stars review, we really appreciate…
You know that I am all about those foodie holidays, especially those that involve burgers and red meat. Now I don't know whether these burgers are from the same Miami Lakes cows by my office but damn they were delicious! The tables are socially distanced, and there's sanitizer by the hostess stand. Otherwise there's still a hometown sportsbar feel. I had to wait a little bit, but the food was worth the wait. My waitress also gave me great recommendations on their side dishes. In order to celebrate the day, I ordered their "El Benny". This is a more creative take on the classic cheeseburger, as it is served with cream cheese & guava paste instead of bbq sauce. The patty was still juicy and meaty even when prepped medium well, and there was a decent schmear of cream cheese. Guava was the right sweetness & perfectly sticky. A side of plain fries was included. My side dish - which I also highly suggest - was their Dirty Fries. Talk about a deliciously messy dish of fries with a layer of buffalo chicken & cheese spread. Me being a picky OCD dude, I asked for no blue cheese crumbles and yes it was as tasty as it sounds. read more

We went to this restaurant on a Saturday night. We went during the wrong time though because it was right before they started the live music. We had a big party so we had to sit right next to the speakers for the live music. So for an hour we would hear the band toning their instruments and doing mic checks. After ten minutes it was very annoying. I suggest for the restaurant to place the speakers away from the tables because no customers should have to deal with that. The foot overall was great. I had the guava burger (El Benny). It was tasty but it was pretty small for the price. The croquettas on the other hands were amazing top five in South Florida. The only bad food I tried was the onion rings that came with burgers. They were abysmal and left most of it on the plate. Overall I love the restaurant atmosphere and food but the two things I had brought it down to four stars. read more

Hi Alexander. Manu, thanks for your post and for leaving us your…
This place is legit... the best burger I've had in a very long time. We came here a while back to try the burgers and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant itself is nice... casual but nicely decorated. Service couldn't be better, Ashley our server that day was extremely attentive and very helpful. As it was our first time there she made a few recommendations that we did try and were really good. For example the chicken wings were delicious and perfectly cooked. Regular cheese burger was actually very flavorful and another one was the tostones burger which instead of bread they use fried plantain to hold all of the meat and vegetables. The Pancho Villa was delicious... flavorful 8oz patty cooked medium, super juicy, and guacamole, bacon and a soft fried egg which yolk was creamy and perfect... I can almost tasted again. All this with a side of fried onion rings... yumm. Nice selection of beers and served really cold. I would really recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves burgers. I hope I can come back here soon. Thumbs up read more
This is located in such a very simple plaza and you would have never thought that this restaurant is there the place looks small from outside but is very spacious when you go in we went during the week day so it was very slow I did see that they offer weekend brunch they do have a full bar and a lot of beers on tap available I offered the wings and the sliders and they were tasty but nothing I haven't had before this is a great place to have pop in an experience. read more

So... this just may have been one of the best burger places that I've been too. It's been on my Yelp bookmarks for awhile and I finally convinced my wife to go check it out, and it did not disappoint. Grabbing an early dinner we ventured into this shopping plaza where you would never have guessed this restaurant would be, after you pass the host(ess) counter you will see a good number of tables and seats along with a bar, along with same games like connect four, etc. that you can bring back to your table and play with friends. With a large selection of beer, I honestly didn't think I was going to see any cocktails on the menu, however we were lucky enough to find a few, as I prefer liquor over beer. We ended up ordering the Mentirita (Rum & Coke), and a Mango Mojito, followed by a Guava Mojito. I would definitely go with the mojitos again, I probably prefer the mango one, however they were both good. For the kids we got the Burger Slider and Chicken Tenders, both with regular potato fries. After staring at the menu for awhile, I decided to ask one of the waitresses what she would choose, and she recommended "The Awesome Burger" and "El Benny" burger. Note - There is an "El Benny" burger and the "Dynamite El Benny"... My wife decided to go with "The Awesome Burger" which is a 1/2 lb beef patty, with caramelized onions, mushrooms, muenster cheese, and house made thyme aioli. She also got the sweet potato fries. I went with the "Dynamite El Benny" which is a 1/2 lb beef patty, muenster cheese, herb cream cheese, guava, house made pickled jalapeños, and caramelized onions. Both burgers were good but I definitely liked my own a lot more, don't be intimidated by the jalapeños, I was thinking it was going to be too spicy, however I didn't find it spicy at all... ridiculously good tasting burger... get it! Note the Loaded Fries were good too! Also, the wait staff is amazing, instead of having one main waitress, I feel like they were all checking on us, we ordered different portions of the meal with different employees and everything came out correct, delicious and the bill had no mistakes, very efficient. The bill even had a QR code to pay it online. Can't say enough great things about this place, everything was great! Can't wait to go back! read more

This is my 3rd time eating st Boss burgers & Brew. What does that tell you??? : ) This little burger joint has become pretty popular in the last few years. Keeping in mind is they've only been around just a few. They've definitively made a lot of noise and if you try one of their burgers you'll see why. This time around I chose el Benny burger with sweet potato fries on the side, and let me you..... that thing is nothing but pure Deliciousness. Who ever came up with this recipe is a genius! Definitely trying if your looking for something different with a little Cuban/Miami flavor. I loved it. And besides the Benny, there's plenty of other options to choose from. They even serve brunch and have unlimited mimosas on the weekends. The ambience is super chill, they're always playing good music. Highly recommend this place, I Will be returning soon. read more

Hi Harry,…
This place has been on my list of places to try in this area for a few yrs. Came here for takeout...The online order process was pretty easy. The site provided a pickup time for when the food was to be ready. So i strolled up in my 72 Pinto ( with the spinning hub caps), parked crooked in the handicap spot, hopped out the whip, the growl of my stomach made it feel like I was walking up to the door in slow motion. Ok enough of the nonsense talk.... I ordered a bacon cheeseburger medium well, bacon cheeseburger sliders both came with regular fries and ordered a side of onion rings. Boss Burger unloaded the burgers with bacon...just the way I like it. Nice fresh soft buns, melted cheddar cheese and the flavor of the meat was savoring. This was a homemade burger patty. The onion rings were nice and crisp. I also put some of these onion rings on my burger. But I should've requested some Guava jam on my burger. There's something about the saltiness flavor of the meet that meshes well something sweet. I couldn't finish the burger, which is rare...but I enjoyed my takeout lunch here. I will definitely come back again. Hopefully I will get the chance to try something different on the menu before I leave the area. read more

Nice new pick for the weekend Come here for a saucy brunch!! We wanted burgers and we got the Big BOSS!! Let me say now that we are through it : The meat patty was very flavorful! (But er ordered medium and it was well done) still very good and meaty... it had pulled pork, bacon, deep fried chicken, onions and mushrooms and lettuce and tomato! We had to deconstruct it: no way were we going to be able to fit all that into one mouthful. The presentation was awesome- but... the chicken was very dry (once we got to it) and so was the bacon (so mind the fryer) Previously we got some beer and I got the vodka and orange and cranberry juice (forget the name already so you know it was great lol) The service was super cordial and the bartender remembered I'm a whimp and made my #2 softer and juicier so I'm a happy bruncher here We also got the Papi pork chunks with the sweet sauce on the side. They were meaty but needed some extra salt (for me) and a bit less time on the fryer as well- yummy with drinks though. Let's make this joint a favorite! They will be great at night when you're looking for a watering hole with some burgers, good Latin music and some tv screens to catch up on your favorite sports read more
