Lunch by the lake, a beautiful taste with a an appetizing scenery. The service is outstanding and vibrant with smiles . I love the sushi here. Specifically the fried ones. The soup is absolutely amazing too. The people are very nice here too. If you eat there it is so pretty to sit right by the water the ambiance is beautiful. I eat here all the time!

Great menu, excellent service and reasonable prices. No matter how busy they are, they take care of you in a timely manner. Most booths have an excellent view of North Lake. Always good for a quick bite or a large group with different tastes. I'd hate for them to get so busy that it's hard to get a table, but they deserve the recognition for doing so well.

Hidden gem in the oasis of Helendale. For a small town in the desert, this restaurant offers a really good fusion of Japanese and Korean staple dishes. From ramen to bento boxes to Korean wings and tofu soup, you have a really good variety of entrees and side dishes to satisfy your Japanese and Korean cravings. I ordered shrimp and vegetable tempura, gyoza, and bibimbap. They did not disappoint. Crispy and tasty tempura and gyozas and the bibimbap was fresh! Really generous portions! The view of the lake is a plus. It's so relaxing and a truly a sight for sore eyes.

Butcher paper are placed on our tables with menus following. We ordered Boba, strawberry smoothies (our smoothies weren't quite sweet enough, and something was missing to make them the best they could be), and Sprite (in a bottle). We also ordered two lobster tails, which came with two corn and two potato sides and Combo Grilled Platters. The lobster tails were generous, packed with meat and flavor. Rolling Crab offers a variety of flavors: Rolling Crab Classic, Louisiana Cajun, Lemon Pepper, and Garlic Butter. Bibs and gloves are available, and you can choose the lobster tails mild, medium, or super spicy, or go for the original. They come in buckets. The Combo Grilled Platters were generous portions, though we wished for more shrimp. The flavor was excellent, though. The restaurant was clean and cozy, with a small space that could easily accommodate a large group. We didn't feel rushed at all, even though it wasn't packed. We noticed a lot of takeout orders, but overall, the service was great, and the food was delicious. We're definitely planning to return!

Called ahead to reserve a table before heading over. It was ready for us upon arrival. I rarely speak of the loo facilities but this one was very sparkly clean. Food was flavorful and generous. Large plates of food enough to share or to take home for a second meal. Get ready to grub with ur bib & gloves!

Awesome first visit!!! we will definitely be coming back! We ordered the half pound of boil plus…read morethe dozen oysters. Quality of the seafood was so fresh it surprised us honestly! And it was definitely more than enough food for two people!! Service was awesome and the staff were all friendly and warm! We were seated right away because we had gone in on a weekday night so hardly anyone. Everything was fresh and delicious and we enjoyed ourselves!! We will definitely be coming back again!!

I visited this restaurant yesterday with my cousin, and unfortunately it was a disappointing…read moreexperience. The place was pretty empty, yet the service was still very slow .To be fair, there was only one girl handling everything!! seating guests, taking orders, and serving food, while another man would occasionally come by to drop something off and then disappear. The food was the biggest letdown. The sauce was extremely dark, thick, and bland, with abt 6 large bay leaves in it. It also had a very bitter taste that overpowered everything. On top of that, the menu is very limited, only two combo options. If you want crab and shrimp together, you're forced to buy them separately, and it's not cheap The only upside was that they had a deal where if you spend over $70 before tax, you get a free item from a selected list. Also, the crab meat and shrimp themselves were very meaty and fresh, which is the main reason I'm giving this place two stars instead of one. Overall, I wouldn't return. The food , service and price just weren't worth it.

Got up to Big Bear today for a long Weekend, and after a long day we were just craving really good…read moresalad and a beer for my man! So very glad we chose Oakside. It's, um, March 19th and we sat on the rooftop outside! Yup! Great ambiance with a view of entering Big Bear and the beautiful moon tonight. Shelby, the manager, was super friendly, sweet and helped us with our meal and Kalley was such a pleasant, high-energy waitress who were both great. Salads- well - hit the spot and more!! Jeremie's Caesar salad was topped with delicious and juicy chicken, flavorful house made croutons and Caesar dressing. Side of garlic bread- yum! Mine! All the treats! The kale apple bacon salad- minus the kale (because I'm just a romaine kinda gal). Sweet dried cranberries and green apples, perfect feta crumbles and bacon, with this amazing apple cider vineagrette! And that superb touch of garlic bread. (I could have eaten a whole loaf). I'd like that dressing in a bottle please! We didn't stay long bc we had people arriving, but will definitely be back. Thank you Shelby and Kalley for great service and delicious salads that hit the spot! Few times we've been up here so far and we haven't found our spots yet, but you're one now!

Here is my story On one hand, my journey to big Bear Valley was defeated because snow was scarce. And, I had to learn how to find the bald eagles. That is my preference now on to oak side I'm guessing Oakside as the place to go locals and visitors alike. Street level is patio dining upstairs second level is covered and rather dark. Food menu is what anyone can expect from a local pub restaurant diner Same thing can be said about their alcoholic beverages or their non-alcoholic alcoholic beverages You do need to check in with the gal downstairs if you want to sit on the street level patio dining. Otherwise walk up the stairs and sit at the bar. Food was decent. Service was excellent. If I'm ever in the area again.(I'm sure I will be) I definitely stop in again
