I have 2 dogs and because it's so hot Iate mornings I usually let them wash off in the splash pad for a couple mins, them dry them off before getting in the car. I won't go in there if there are other people and children around. My dogs are trained. I watch many people bring their dogs off leash in the splash pad with no repercussions. But the second I step foot on the pad with my dogs, in an empty park, here comes the security truck driving up to tell me to put my dogs on leash. They have specifically targeted me. I'm pretty sure it's because I have been vocal about it. I've been in the park literally alone with not a single soul in sight, my dogs by my side while I dry them off, and here comes security. I told them that they must be so bored in their day to send someone to drive all the way out there in 115 degree weather, in an empty park to tell one soul person to put their dogs on leash. Today I watched as 2 peope bring their dogs unto the spash pad, off leash for a good while and left. One oerson's dog wasnt even wearing a collar. I went unto to the splash pad after them for no more than 2 minutes. And like clockwork, here comes security driving in to harass me. If you're going to enforce the rules then enforce it for everyone. At this point I am being targeted and discrimated against. Yeah, I'm black too so what does that tell you.

One for dogs under 25lbs and the other side for the larger dogs. Both areas were very clean. Inside of the runs there are complimentary doggie poo bags, and pooper scoopers. This was refreshing to see. The grounds on both sides were in nice condition. There are benches for the fur parents to sit on. There is a water fountain with the fountain below for the fur babies. However no water was coming out. Maybe this is due to it not being summer yet. Would def recommend- not a big park, very intimate. Hazel was happy. Location is Cactus/ Jones- parking in dirt lot.

Make sure to bring your dog some water as there is only one fountain I've seen and sometimes it doesn't work, but plenty of room to run around. The only downsides are there is no parking so you're stuck parking at the gas station across the street or in the surrounding neighborhood. The other is sometimes it's not so clean from people hanging out in there and leaving trash and other debris.

It looks as though the park has the typical/normal wear and tear of any park that's been around for years in this harsh desert climate. With that being said it's still a pretty good park. They have restrooms, water fountains, two full tennis courts, a basketball court, Big and little kid playground areas, swing sets, a large properly maintenance grass field where lots of kids have been known to practice soccer in. They also have a fitness area as well as a jogging path that I've had the pleasure of using to burn off those pesky calories. Lastly, they have one gazebo area as well as a frequently visited ice cream truck. Hence the reason to burn off those calories, lol.

Instructions were advised about setting up a grassy location for Practice. Since the location is so close to the school that they are playing at, Wilbur & Theresa Faiss Middle School, this was the field that was chosen for Practice. Where they practice- A corner - the grass is squishy, but there are some trees for some shade (for the parents). Splash pad, playgrounds (2), basketball courts, walking trails, not level, lots of hills- it's huge. Parking is next to the splash pad, playground, baseball field. Some people are parking on the street, but there are signs that state not to do that.

It makes a big difference when you have little ones or wanderers and want a bit more peace of mind. There are options for both bucket swings and regular swings, so it works well for different ages. The splash pad area is pretty spacious and gives kids plenty of room to run around, although it's not enclosed. There are quite a few trees around the park but they aren't really positioned in a way that provides much shade where you'd actually want to sit/can sit comfortably. The women's bathroom had multiple stalls, which was nice, but there was no changing table or hand soap in the bathroom. The bathrooms just gave a very worn look/feel to it though. Also not a big fan that they were a bit far from the playground and right in front of the parking lot. It gave me a bad feeling. I also saw there's a disc golf course here, if anyone is wondering (pics provided). The biggest issue for me was the amount of trash scattered around. There was everything from random litter to cigarette butts in common areas, which took away from the overall experience. With better maintenance, I feel like this park can be a favorite in the future.
