She does run on time. At least that was my experience. I had to have an endoscopy, which she performed, and she was wonderful before and after the procedure. I was so nervous, but again, she has such a wonderful bedside manner, and she put me completely at ease. She discovered my issue and put me on antibiotics which cured me completely. I don't exactly "want" to have to see her again, but in the future when I need a G.I. doctor, it will be her that I see. I also have that dreaded colonoscopy to look forward to in just 5 more years (yep, I'm giving away my age!).

Returned for another scheduled appointment only to be to Dr no longer at practice and I need a new referral from primary, ( had referral but had to change primary and was in process when second refusal of service happened. Adding insult to injury United Healthcare Dual Complete my provider supplied me with name, number and appt with new Dr only to find when it's time for referral she's NOT IN NETWORK, get new primary, feeding tube now infected and was compelled to do ER, yuck flu, covid and everything else this season,? No thank you, got appt at Digestive Disease and despite ALL the above was refused AGAIN, this time a newer bill totaling over 500, with a 50 no show fee???? You can't make this crap up. This offices billing person proceeded to " tell me " of the various notices I'd received and despite all pleading including the oath to do no harm I was once again REFUSED SERVICE. The aggravation and distress that you will go through to find a fit for you is not worth the trouble. The company has hidden rules which are not disclosed during your first doctor visit, such as, if your doctor is not available and you see another doctor-then you are stuck with that doctor and cannot go back to your original doctor. At first they told me this was an insurance rule, to which I responded that I can see any doctor with my Insurance, then they admitted that it is a company rule. Very shady if you ask me. Finding consistency in even average medical care in the US is enough to make you need a gastroenterologist, but hopefully one that has the time to care about your well being. I did see Dr. Manolakis in Fernandina Beach, and she did take her time and reviewed my file pretty extensively. I did advise her that Borland Groover had failed so miserably that I took my health and gut into my own hands and went to see a gastroenterologist in Houston Texas for answers. As patients it is up to us to make the best decisions about our health, especially when doctors do not understand any sense of urgency - like the Borland Groover office Southside location. My perception of Dr. Manolakis is that she is a caring doctor who wants to help you with your health issues, and I would rate her a 4 Star at this time, but considering I am dealing with the same medical giant in the game of gut health - I am only going to give a 3 Star average rating at this time. If you can find another qualified GI group, I still say, do so to avoid the possibility of gastric and mental aggravation, as I have heard stress and mental aggravation go hand in hand with making your guts mad. Doctors are quick to charge you late fees for not arriving on time, but where is the patients compensation for a 6 month wait or a 2-3 hour waiting room wait for a scheduled appointment aka what probably/may happen to you at the BG Southside location. Don't hold your breath on that last part of the equation.

I have to say that Borland Groover is a master assembly line medical treatment and care center…read moreunlike anything I've seen in a while! It reminded me of waiting in a military pharmacy! Now I will not say that is a bad thing. This well-oiled machine operates successfully by the skilled and highly experienced medical professionals and staff who run the front office area. Though the lobby is large, it was still a pretty crowded house. I had to take my dearest for a medical procedure here with Dr. Ibach and I found the care overall as highly impressive. I appreciate very much that Dr. Ibach visited the patient (which I did get to be part of) after her procedure, even though she was still pretty dazed as the anesthesia hadn't worn off yet. That was ok. No one forgets good quality Dr. to patient care. Dr. Ibach is a first class experienced professional who I would recommend to anyone anytime. As I watched things move along here, I did notice on the monitor that the names on it moved on and off pretty quickly overall. To its credit, this Borland Groover clinic has created a fine-tuned machine in moving patients along through this medical treatment center. With that, I will add it's good to see their human side too. They do treat the patients in a very caring manner. It is a clinic I would recommend to others. Recommend: HIGH

My partner is a patient there and was suffering from a severe stomach infection that caused him to…read morelose 15 pounds. Despite the seriousness of his condition, the earliest appointment available was more than two weeks away. We repeatedly called trying to get him seen sooner and were told someone would call us back, but no one ever did. Over the course of several days, we made multiple attempts to contact the office and received little to no response. Ultimately, we had no choice but to go to the ER to get the testing and treatment he needed. This was especially frustrating since he had already been an established patient and had been seen there just a few months earlier. The lack of communication and urgency was BEYOND disappointing. I would not recommend this practice based on our experience.
