Had the absolute worst experience with my total hysterectomy here yesterday with the preop staff…read more I'm a certified vascular access RN and ER RN with over 24 years of experience in my field. I came into this with this surgery being my 6th surgery in 13 months. I've been a professional patient and certified pin cushion lately. I'm aware that I am a hard stick and notified staff of this. I also told them I was severely traumatized by my last operative experience and even as they initially brought me back I was begging for them to let my husband, my one source of comfort come back. It was denied. I was terrified and only wanted him and was bawling my eyes out the entire time just begging for him to be allowed back. It continued to be denied. As it came time to place my IV I directed the nurse to my best venous access sites and the nurse was unsuccessful. After the 4th attempt I asked for an ultrasound guided IV to help prevent me more pain. My nurse Erin got frustrated when she was looking at a particular spot and I told her 'I'm going to need an ultrasound I'm telling you' and she dropped the gurney, threw her hands up and let out a frustrated sigh and said 'ok'. Way to make me feel heard there. They refused to do that. Anesthesia was able to get a 22g in my hand that eventually blew like I told them it would. I told them areas specifically to avoid due to knowing these sites wouldn't work. Intraop 6 more attempts were made specifically in places I requested to not be attempted for cannulation. I woke up seeing all these bruises and feeling completely violated as I did not consent for what they did to me. I know my own body. I came in terrified and traumatized and left even more so. I expected more of Baptist than this. A patient advocate contacted me and you could tell by her tone that she did not give a half a crap about this. Do not recommend this hospital they do not respect patients and their bodily autonomy and will do whatever they please to you at your most vulnerable state. They also will refuse you your support person. Absolutely zero compassion and kindness

So my expectations are low when the dr says outpatient! But, yesterday I cannot brag enough on the nurses, staff and dr that I had, they treated us like family or a friend, rather than a patient.

He was discharged and we were told they would call us by the next morning to let us know the results. I received a call at 8:30 AM and was told he tested positive and we needed to have a tamiflu prescription filled. We went immediately to get the medication and gave it to him upon picking it up. He threw it up right away. We drove home, and once there, tried giving him the medication again. Same thing again, he immediately threw up. At this point he is not looking good so we called Baptist to get advice on what to do. I called 904-516-1100 and a lady named Cindy answered the phone, and told me she was an RN. I described to her the situation, and was told "I need to get creative to try and get him to rake the medicine, by giving him a popsicle." At this point I had to give the phone to my wife because I was ready to blow up. My wife was transferred to someone else who answered the phone saying, "This is Amanda, I am an RN." My wife said she was speaking with an RN, and Amanda said she wasn't sure who she was speaking with, that someone told her to pick up the phone. Amanda was not any help either, we explained that our son is not taking fluids and looks lethargic, and she instructed us to call his primary care physician because "he knows him better since he has seen him through development." Well our primary care physician office keeps going to voice mail, so we are currently driving to Orange Park Medical which is another 20 minutes away because we no longer trust the intelligence or judgment of the employees at Baptist Medical.

I was a bit anxious because it took 30min from the time we walked in to the time my husband was given the first line of meds, but hey, emergencies make people stressed anyway. He used the nurse call button twice & a nurse was in the room in less than a minute each time. Pros *Clean facility *Respectful staff *Quick check-in and discharge process *The room was spacious and had 2 chairs for family to sit in the room with the patient *The Doctor was receptive to my husband's needs, and willing to patiently answer my questions Cons *My husband had to wait exactly 30 minutes to receive any medication for his pain.

My barely 25‑year‑old daughter, Taylor, died after what multiple independent physicians and an…read moreautopsy have confirmed was reckless medical negligence and neglect at an HCA Florida hospital where she was taken after being rear‑ended at a red light. Her internal bleeding went undiagnosed for about eight hours despite glaring signs. Once imaging was finally ordered and active internal bleeding was confirmed, surgery was delayed for roughly seven more hours. In the meantime, the doctor ordered mass blood transfusion in an improper way that worsened her condition instead of stabilizing her, while failing to move the central line that was improperly placed and that the radiologist recommended be repositioned. HCA Healthcare has faced no consequences, and there is no way for people researching physicians through the Florida Department of Health (DOH), the medical licensing board, to see what happened to my daughter. Because she was 25, unmarried, and had no children, Florida's 'Free Kill' law strategically blocked me from pursuing legal recourse to ensure the hospital and its physicians are held accountable so the harm does not continue. I returned at 12:00 p.m., only to wait an additional hour and fifteen minutes. Once I was finally brought back to a room, I was told the wait would be even longer, with no estimated timeframe provided. The lack of communication from the front desk was extremely frustrating and made the entire experience feel disorganized and disrespectful of patients' time. I understand delays can happen--especially around the holidays--but clearer updates and transparency would have gone a long way. I would not recommend booking an appointment here during busy periods and will not be returning.

Loyal Patient Publicly Humiliated and Denied Care Due to Their Billing Error!…read more I've been coming to CareSpot for over 3 years. The Fleming Island locationfor nearly 1 and a half years;averaging about six visits a year, and up until now, all of my bills have been paid without issue,i go in for the same exact issue every time. A visit in 2022 and 2023 was not billed correctly and it was submitted with insufficient information to my insurance company, bear in mind I go in for almost the same issue most times,so I know my insurance definitely covers these treatments. My insurance company has reached out numerous times to get the records, but carespot has ignored the requests,so it shows as unpaid, unpaid due to their negligence.I even called this year asking them to please send the insurance The requested documentation, but nothing. My most recent experience was nothing short of humiliating and unprofessional. I was denied medical treatment due to a billing issue caused entirely by CareSpot's failure to send requested documentation to my insurance company. The insurance clearly stated in writing that they were waiting for medical records from CareSpot that were never provided--yet instead of resolving the issue, the staff insulted me in the lobby and refused to treat me. Despite my long history as a loyal and responsible patient with no unpaid balances, they treated me like I was trying to dodge a bill. This was not just poor customer service--it was a complete disregard for human decency and basic medical ethics. If you care about respectful treatment and responsible billing practices, I highly recommend going elsewhere. No patient should ever be denied care due to a provider's own administrative negligence.
