I had a test on 3/9, my doctor called on 3/10, I called, and my husband called for the results. My doctor put a rush on it due to I have to cancel a pending surgery. It's now been 3 days and no radiology report. The films are in my portal, but no report. Communication of a diagnosis is just as important as the diagnosis itself. Patients should know the results of any medical tests they've undergone in a timely manner. Testing facilities should communicate test results to the medical providers responsible for the patient's treatment. Their web page even states the results are timely.....will not use them again. Still, such failures can result in serious injury or complications, even if the test results do not indicate that anything is wrong. Test results are used to determine whether further treatment is necessary. I'm still waiting........ read more

I had an appointment today and I was extremely impressed with the EXTRAordinary CARE I received from each individual. From the reception area to the technician, each individual was courteous, knowledgeable and impressively professional. Thank you Rachel for making the process so comfortable and ensuring I felt like I was important. The receptionists ensured I got the information I needed. This is NOT an open mri. Then act like it is because there is an opening at the end but it is a true MRI. If you are claustrophobic, do not come here. They wasted my day off and my gas to come to find out they are NOT open. read more

I lllllllllllove this place. Wish no one needed to have an MRI, but if you do- please consider this place . The staff; the front desk; people you speak to on the phone, the technicians... one nicer and more pleasant than the other. Very considerate. Very professional. You're greeted with smiling pleasant beautiful faces that are empathetic towards your concerns. They talk to people that come in like they've been friends with whoever walks in. What a joke! The disc format was unreadable by physical therapy which was essential since the pathetic radiologist's report did not address soft or connective tissue related to hip pain diagnosis. Now we have to wait for an amendment or do it again! A total waste of time and money. read more

I had an MRI done here this morning, and they were incredible. I am slightly claustrophobic, so being slid into a metal tube is a struggle for me! They talked to me, kept me calm, explained everything, kept me posted on how much longer we had, and the owner even kept me company in the scanning room! I showed up 15 minutes before my appt as recommended by the girl who confirmed my appt the night before... They got me right in and were very pleasant. The MRI tech was knowledgeable and was gentle with the contrast injection I received. This is a very clean facility, very spacious. The open MRI was great because I am claustrophobic. You can even choose from a long list of music options to listen to during the MRI scan. Highly recommend! read more

First of all, I am extremely "over the top" claustrophobic. Backed out and cancelled 3 or 4 MRI attempts at other MRI centers. Had only been able to undergo MRI twice before, once under heavy sedation and one other time at a hospital under medically supervised intravenous sedation. However, today at Beaches Open MRI, I was able to go ahead with a knee MRI study as scheduled, and "without" any sedation. Their MRI machine is the latest open technology available. At least 1/4 of my body (from top of my head to roughly the middle of my chest) was outside the machine. Wow! What a relief! Now for the icing on the cake, their entire staff is super nice. Their lead tech operator was totally sensitive to my phobia, and was very accommodating. She even, allowed me to test the required position on the machine before I had to decide if I would need medication to proceed. If I ever need another MRI -- which I pray I will not -- Beaches Open MRI will be the center I will try to use. Thank you Beaches Open MRI!! Tony read more

I was just refused my medical records by this place. I have had 3 fusions in the past, multiple mri's and ct's done and NEVER been denied access to my own medical records per HIPAA. I was told that I don't have the right to even a report, only my surgeon gets it who will go over the result with me. I would highly suggest using Precision Imaging( who have always supplied me with the report & cd), Beaches Baptist ( who have always supplied me with a report & cd). This violates our right as a patient and a complaint with the State will be filed. I am so disappointed considering how convenient their location is for me. I am truly just stunned that, as a patient, they so openly violate our rights to our records. read more

I have severe claustrophobia. Even on the flat open mri table that is open on all sides I still have issues. Called to make the appointment. Was assured that they did have the unit that was open on all sides. Took a Xanax (which I am not supposed to use unless absolutely needed) , Got there, paid and waited and was taken back to the room for the mri. It was just a shorter tube than the regular mri. Was told it was open on both sides, front and back. But it was still a tube. Had a flashback and ended up with a bit of a breakdown and had to take a pill for my heart it was so bad. It is the day after and I am still pretty bad off from the experience. They lied to us. There is no "open mri" just a shorter tube. Looking for open mri? Jacksonville upright mri on university blvd. 733-7800. They have the chair. Yes the facilities were clean and staff was friendly. But the stress they caused me was not worth the visit. read more

I just had an MRI done and had to immediately write a review of my amazing experience! The MRI itself was terrifying (but you know, I'm claustrophobic) but the staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating! The waiting room is tranquil: essential oil diffusers, a variety of magazine, tea, a flatscreen tv, comfortable couches, and a plethora of candy and assorted treats. From the moment I walked in I was met with energy and kindness that put me at ease. I love that they give you the option to choose your own music to play during your MRI. Once I was taken back I was escorted to my own private dressing room and bathroom that I was able to lock my belonging in and was provided scrubs to put on. The MRI room itself is beautiful with soft lighting and more cozy couches. It felt like I was in a spa rather than a cold doctors office. The technicians that assisted me onto the table explained to me exactly what I was going to hear and experience and made sure I was completely comfortable before starting. They also let me know when I had five minutes left in the machine which was greatly appreciated rather than startling me upon exit. The whole experience was delightful. You know, other than being placed into a scary machine. I really appreciated all of the thought that went into my visit. Because of the way I was treated I felt confident in the machine that I was in good hands. read more

This is the best imaging place in Jacksonville. The staff are both courteous and capable, the place is very clean and comfortable (almost like a spa). They offer beverages (usually for the patient, but they'll give guests somethign if you ask), cookies and other snacks are neatly arranged in the waiting area and free Wifi, TV and recent magazines. The TV and magazines are mostly for people that are there with a patient as it seems they never get off schedule, so you get in at your appointment time. They are also a delight when it comes to scheduling an appointment at a time that works for you. Precision Imaging is also nice (spa like), but they still can't hold a candle to Beaches Open MRI in any other area! read more

I have had 2 mris here. They schedule you quickly, are very friendly and patient, and have a beautiful, relaxing facility. The gentleman who did mine explained what I would hear and how long it would take. I was nervous and he was reassuring. I have had them send my results to my general doctor and 2 neurosurgeons. They always sent all information in a very timely manner. read more
