This is the worst family care practice I have ever been to. I asked to have a prescription dosage increase on a type of medication that I was on a low dose of, but have been on for years, Maria Fernandez told me she "didn't really need me or my prescription" and "if I really want to i could kick rocks" so, I did just that, told my mother and she had her last appointment with her, as well as my grandmother. My family and I will be finding a better primary care doctor. If you're struggling with mental problems, I suggest going to evolving-mind psychiatry, that's where I set up an appointment after hearing my doctor tell me to "kick rock's" best psych I've ever had. read more

I have been seeing Sandra Carr, NP, since moving to Jacksonville in 2014. She discovered my thyroid issue on the first visit. I am ever so grateful to her for helping me improve my health. The office staff are pleasant and the I love the in house phlebotomist as you are not required to go to another office for blood work. The office is usually busy and sometimes I have to wait a little longer than I would like. However, with new federal regulations requiring much more documentation from the medical staff I understand the wait time a little better than most. And I also appreciate that she does not rush me through the appointment. She takes time to listen to my health concerns and provides helpful medical advise. I plan to continue seeing Sandra Carr and would recommend her to anyone looking for a professional and knowledgeable health care provider. read more

You have to schedule an appointment before you're even sick to actually get in to see these doctors. I called last week for an abscess and they couldn't get me in until literally a week later. I called today (3/6) for a stuffy nose and sore throat and they told me they didn't have anything until 3/12 so pretty pointless even trying to call them. By the time they could see you for anything, your issue would most likely be gone by then . Time to find a new primary. read more

I usually don't waste my time writing reviews but this was just outrageous. I went in with my mother for her appointment ( she doesn't speak English well so I've always gone with her to translate and I've never had an issue before) she was scheduled with Dr Leibowitz. He wasted both of our times not wanting to see my mother because I was in the room with her! I tried to offer solutions ( leaving the room, trying to get a different translator) to try and get this appointment done but he just refused saying that he felt uncomfortable! Had us and hour waiting in the room when I could hear him talk outside the door and than not even have the courtesy to come in himself and explain the situation. It was unprofessional and extremely rude. He did not try to help in any way and just turned my mother away. Absolutely terrible!! Would not be seeing him again. read more

The receptionist s are snippy. I guess they deal with a lot however the people calling there are probably dealing with a lot more. They should learn to be more caring and concerning. As far as the doctors, I wouldn't bother. If you don't go there on a regular basis, apparently they will just kick you out and tell you that you are no longer welcome back. So I haven't been ill or needed a doctor for a few years, when I finally do, I use him because he's my primary care physician. So I was told, since I haven't been there in a few years I'm no longer their patient I have to sign in as a new patient, which they are not accepting anymore of. How convenient. I have been a patient of Dr. waters for more years than I care to admit. When my parents moved to Jackdonville, he became their doctor too. When my kids graduated from pediatricians, he became their doctor too. I say this as a testimony to my trust in him and his practice. read more

As a physician myself, it is always important to have a trusted physician as your primary care doc. I have been seeing Dr. Butcher for three years now and he has been a great doctor and always helpful and accurate. There has never been any issue with returned calls or emails, or getting an appointment. The other providers I've met have always been helpful, and friends I have whom go there only have great things to say about them. A great clinic and fantastic providers! read more

(This is for the new Atlantic Beach location in front of LA Fitness) I had called on 4/5/23 to make an appointment with Dr Damidi. I had to wait for an approval to be able to change provider with Baptist Primary Care. They called me back to let me know all is good and I can make an appointment however it was a 2 months wait, which I was ok with. So they gave a June 2nd appointment. I called the office today 6/1/23 to confirm my appointment time, but the female staff I spoke with said I didn't have an appointment with them but that she sees the record of my call back in April and the approval for the change to Dr Damidi. She asked to place me on hold but instead transferred me to a ringing line and then the call hung up. I called back and spoke to Antonio and he said same thing, no appointment for me and that he does see a record of my call back in April. He couldn't do anything for me but just to again book me for another appointment in about 3 weeks or he can place me for cancellations calls. Unacceptable. I was not happy! Unfair that I had to wait 2 months for the appointment. I asked to speak to a manager but no one was willing to get on the line to talk to me to make things right. I find it extremely frustrating and disappointing that we have to put up with this kind of unjust behavior from medical office staffs for patient care. I just find that they were uncaring to say the least after being on the phone with them for more than 50 minutes trying to get them to fairly schedule the appointment for me for 6/2. I'm very upset because I had waited 2 months for this appointment. I was only going to go to this Dr because my sister recommended her to me. She actually called them today (6/1) to cancel her appointment and they asked her when she wanted to reschedule, in which she said in 2 weeks. The female office staff she was speaking to said the 2 weeks was ok. But when my sister started to tell her what happened to me and how upset I was, her tone changed and said "Actually Dr Damidi won't be available until August 18th, sorry!" If that is not a deliberate retaliation then I don't know what is! I would try to stay away from calling this office for patient care. It will stress you out. Read the other reviews. read more

My family of 5 have been seeing Dr Cordona since we moved here in 2016. I refer her to everyone I know. She takes the time to sit with you, listen to you and generally find out what is wrong. I've been going here for the past 2 years, since moving here from Atlanta and after this past experience I will be finding a new office to go to. I have a prescription for ADD medication that needs to be refilled every 3 months. Which means every 3 months I have to physically go into the office for an evaluation, which I'm used to. But the past few times I've gone in it has taken them SO LONG to see me! I make an appointment time for the time I'm available and a lot of times it'll be an hour after my appointment before I even see the doctor, even if I get there 15 minutes early like they reccomend. Today I had an appointment for 9:15 that I made last week with Dr. Sandra Carr. I had to take off this morning from work in order to be there but I needed my prescription filled so I didn't really have a choice. Not a big deal. I got there at exactly 9:07, signed in, and waited 30 minutes before they called me back. I was a little annoyed, but again, not a big deal. The nurse took my vitals quickly and said the Dr. Carr would be in in a minute. I waited until 10:10 for Dr. Carr before I walked out of the room and told the nurse I had to leave to go to work. Which was true. She apologized. I left and let the two people at the front desk know what happened so I didn't get charged for an office visit. On my way to work the nurse called and let me know that Dr. Carr refilled my prescription for a month but that I have to go back next month in order to get a full 3 month prescription. I just don't understand why I specifically made an appointment at 9:15 if they weren't going to be able to see me until after 10. This isn't the first problem I've had with this office though. Aside from always running behind, they never answer the phones and will let you sit on hold for 20 mins plus. The last time I went into this office for something other than my prescription was for anxiety and panic attacks that were starting to affect my everyday life. I went in not knowing if they were panic attacks or asthma so they performed an asthma test and said everything was fine. I kept insisting they felt like panic attacks but Dr. Sandra Carr kept insisting I had a heart murmur (which I've never heard before) and that my shortness of breath, tight chest, and panicky episodes were due to an undiagnosed heart problem even though I kept insisting that it didn't feel like anything to do with my heart. She wanted to immediately start me on a beta blocker without doing any kind of blood tests and then referred me to a cardiologist for heart testing. I denied the beta blocker because I'm a 23 year old, healthy, and fit female and I had never heard of that kind of medicine before so I wanted to do some research. I went to my cardiologist appointment and everything was perfect with my heart. I mentioned the beta blocker to the cardiologist and he was shocked that she was going to prescribe it to me. He said it with my healthy conditions and normal blood pressure, heart rate, etc. taking the beta blocker could have actually KILLED ME! After that incident I've only gone back to Dr. Carr to get my ADD medication filled and that's it. I can't trust her with actually diagnosing me because I honestly don't think she has any idea what she's doing. read more

The staff here is really nice and try to accommodate your scheduling requests the best they can. The hours here still suck for those of us with 8-5 jobs but I can usually get in with the first appointment of the morning and head into the office after that. I was really impressed that my Doctor took the time to really listen to what I had to say and address any concerns I had. read more

This place is awesome. You have an appointment at 8:15 and you are in the room within 2 minutes of your appointment time or earlier. The front staff is fast and efficient. They work hard to get you the earliest appointment available. The nursing staff and Registered Nurse Practitioners are very well trained in their Field. Have seen Ms. Carr on several occasions and have been very please. My primary care physician is Dr. John T. Butcher and he is outstanding. He really takes time to get to know the clients and genuinely help them in anyway he can. He is very efficient and when it comes to referring knows the best places in town to send you to to get the best results. All-in-all if you are looking for timely routine/sick visits to your primary care doctor with little to no wait in the exam room, a great staff, a wonderful support staff of registered nurse practitioners and a great staff of doctors, this is the top place I would put on my list. Most insurances, from what I recall, are accepted here. read more

History of breast cancer in my family and my doctor decided "without" consultation that additional follow up with me was not necessary???!!! Patient care? Absolutely none. Terrible scheduling! Be sure to verify before going for an appt and Don't use their online platform for appts. as it's obviously something they don't update. Set up an appt online only to have their office call an hour before the appt to cancel due to them being "full". We have found this out over multiple instances that in the Baptist Primary system, instead of trying to compensate for their errors in booking appts(or maybe lack of ability) and maybe attempting to find a solution by utilizing a different doctor at a different location, they just cancel at will and...so sorry for you. 2.5 years in FL and this unfortunately seems to be standard practice for this organization. Our experience has been that on average the doctors in this system are good folks, but the office staff is lacking tremendously. C'mon either hire better or train better Docs! Your front office runs like a retail business at closing time. read more

This is the worst office I ever had to deal with and I'm a pharmacist. As a pharmacist and as a patient of this office this is the worst office I had to deal with. First of all I can't talk about anything in my annual exam or they will charge me extra, I can't even ask for a refill in my annual exam. I have to make a separate visit just to get refills for my medications, which is a regular maintenance medication not even a control medication. I can never ever reach them without being put on hold forever or getting a busy signal and I can't get an appointment for month and month. And when they answer the phone there is no apology or any courtesy shown for leaving me on hold for so long. I usually never write reviews but this time I made an exception because I had enough with them. I have had the worst experience in this office and I don't recommend it to anybody as a pharmacist and as a patient. read more
