My appointment was scheduled for 3:00 PM and lasted until 7:00 PM and I shouldn't have been there that long. Throughout the procedure, I experienced multiple unprofessional interruptions, significant pain, and now suffer from serious aesthetic and physical complications as a result.
The treatment included Dysport (50 units) administered to my forehead and between the brows for a brow lift, as well as Restylane Lyft, Versa, and Restylane Contour fillers injected into my jawlines, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, chin, cupid's bow, under eyes, forehead, lips, and nose for contouring.
I arrived at the med spa at 2:45 PM and was taken to the treatment room around 3:05 PM where my face was numb for 30 minutes. During this time, the owner repeatedly entered the room, pressuring the injector to work faster. My husband and I couldn't believe what we were witnessing. Jennifer then stated that the owner consistently rushes her to finished with clients. At one point, I gave Jennifer permission to attend to another client while I waited as I am in the beauty industry and owned a hair salon for 30 years and I know the importance of keeping clients happy. However, midway through my treatment, this interruption caused the numbing to wear off, and the remaining injections were performed while I was in significant pain, heart beating rappliy and sweeting profusely.
Following the treatment, I have experienced severe bruising and swelling under my eyes with black and green discoloration, as well as painful lumps under my eyes and a red blood clot under my left eye. The discoloration, swelling, lumps, and blood clot I currently have under my eyes are caused by the Tyndall effect, a known complication from how the filler injections were administered. Additionally, I have two noticeable painful knots between my brows that have caused persistent headaches, and a thick lump approximately three inches in length running across my forehead that was not present prior to the procedure has caused me persistent headaches. My cupid's bow is uneven, and my bottom lip has three painful knots that create visible asymmetry. There is also a painful knot on the left side of my jawlines. The jawlines, which were supposed to be corrected, are still sagging and appears lopsided. I've had fillers and botox perfomed on my face for several years and I've never experienced any of this. Jennifer insured my husband and I of her expertise as an injector, that I was excellent client for these procedures and stated that she would love for me to be one of her models. Overall, the results on my lips, jawlines, between my brows, forehead, and nose contour are uneven and unacceptable. Trying to apply concealer under my eyes makes the appearance look even worse.
During my first visit, Jennifer was very friendly and bubbly, which put me at ease. However, during my follow-up visit on August 5th at 10:45 AM, her demeanor was notably different--she was not very friendly and dismissed my concerns, stating there was nothing wrong with my face and if she did attempt fix any problems that there would be a fee. My husband, who was with me on all visits, also observed and agreed with the issues I identified. After she stated that my husband and I walked out of the establishment and I immediately contacted corporate.
On a second follow-up on August 8th at 2:30 PM, I met with Rema (sp), accompanied by my husband. Rema allowed me to fully explain and physically demonstrate the issues. She acknowledged my concerns and explained that the standard protocol requires a two-week waiting period before any corrections can be made. I appreciated Rema's professionalism and willingness to listen.
Following the second visit, I had a phone conversation with the owner, which I found to be unprofessional. I had the phone on speaker so that my husband could hear. The owner attempted to discuss her own facial appearance, which I found irrelevant and inappropriate given the serious nature of my concerns. I responded by telling her that her face has nothing to do with mine, emphasizing my expectation for professionalism and focus on my issues. She preceded to talk over me.
Given the physical pain, visible deformities, and unprofessional handling of my treatment, I am requesting a full refund or a substantial partial refund to allow me to seek corrective treatment at a med spa of my choice.
