The crew started on Monday and finished the entire project in three days. They worked hard, were respectful of our property, and were especially careful while working near our pool. I really appreciated that they cleaned up at the end of each day and left the area looking neat. Jason checked in several times throughout the project, and I even saw him working alongside the crew at different points, which says a lot. I filled out their form online and the next morning Jordan Hulcy, a co-owner with the company, responded to me via text. He asked a few questions and was ready to get us on his schedule for a free in-person visit to find out what we wanted to do and provide a same-day quote. We met with him just two days later. Jordan was genuinely friendly, listened to what we wanted done, and provided us with information on what our project would look like. He took that time to measure, take pictures, and provided us a quote before he left our appointment. We chose Load Bearing Beam Masters after reviewing our other quotes and options over the next week. Even then I was texting Jordan with more questions to get clarification on some of the language in our project agreement/contract. He responded to me the same day. Jordan was very transparent with us about the entire process including materials used. To get on the schedule, we paid 50% of our contracted total. Jordan immediately reached out to us to schedule the Engineer to come out. This was done around our schedule which we really appreciated. The same day the Engineer came out with Jordan, our project plan was finalized, and our wall removal project was scheduled for the next Tuesday. On Tuesday morning the crew was scheduled to start at 7:30am. They began arriving about 7:00am to unload their lumber in their staging area in our front yard along with delivery of the trash trailer so they could clean up during and after the project. Promptly at 7:30am, Jordan walked up with his crew and introduced everyone. He walked them through the project area briefing them on the specifics. We had a big project, removing a total of two walls and a foyer doorway to open our living/family room to the foyer and kitchen areas. Kudos not only to Jordan, but his crew leader Trey, and team members Zach, Danny, Paco, and Jose. These guys were all friendly and comfortable to be around. I reached out for an updated. After several unanswered emails and phone calls, Johnathon finally called to tell me they would need to requote and said they would. Then nothing again for 4 days. No clue when or if I would ever here from them again. I called and sent emails for an update. Then a week after my original request, Johnathon called me again and began yelling at me to stop calling them, he asked if I knew they were really busy (which I now knew cause he said something). He said he would get me a quote, but when I asked him for a timeline, he demanded "don't you now what is going on with the lumber industry right now?" (no, I am not in that field, how would I know unless he explained). So I said "No, I don't understand, please tell me . . " which he interrupted and said "yea, that's the problem, you don't understand, why don't I just not quote you on anything" and hung up. Regular updates seems beyond this business's capabilities. If they can't master communication during quotations, how could they be trusted to coordinate the work?
