This is in regards to Borderland service department and oil change they performed on my car. I recently discover my engine oil cap was not installed when I went to give a family member a jump start with my car. I took my car for an oil service at Borderland and trusted they knew how to reinstall cap. I didn't think I would have to verify the work they performed, but apparently I should have checked. Needless to say there was an oily mess when I popped my hood open, and could have led to a bigger disaster. Their inability to do a simple procedure, like screw a cap back on after taking it off (or inability to verify via a checklist to reinstall cap) shows a total lack of quality control. I lost all trust in this business and will not be using their services in the future. Furthermore, I do not recommend them, and caution anyone who would take their vehicle in for service and/or repair. If you do so, at the very least make sure you have the mechanic walk you through visually everything they touched during servicing your vehicle. read more
