Baja Fish Tacos Fish & Chips Tacos
James T.

Service was good, waitress was friendly and made some good suggestions. We went to try their soupy tacos that are their spin on chicos. The tacos them selves were good but the sauce wasn't what you'd expect or want em to be. Too tomato forward, no spice at all. BUT I did get their Baja fish tacos and Fish and chip taco and I absolutely loved those. Super crispy batter, light flaky fish, pickled onions and spicy aioli were really good. For the Fish and chips one had spicy tarty sauce, malt vinegar and shoe string potatoes on too, great flavor. Will get those again for sure. Also liked that they were pet friendly and we were able to bring one of our plethora of dogs along. Its a good spot just the rolled tacos were a miss for me.

We arrived in El Paso and we were hungry! Our daughter took us to get a bite on the way to her home. The restaurant is fast casual with table service. It's not fancy, but it looks nice and was clean. Our server was friendly and efficient. We started with chips and guacamole which were very good! We all ordered two tacos and a side and we were not disappointed! Great spot for lunch or dinner or a few drinks and apps.

Pretty good local spot for some chilaquiles and mimosas!! It's close to my house too which is great because I almost always have a craving for chilaquiles! And who wouldn't enjoy a delicious mimosa?? On Sundays, they have $1 mimosa glasses which is irresistible. Service was very quick too which is great! I was hungry and super ready for chilaquiles but even more so for the mimosa! My friend wanted to meet up for brunch so I suggested this spot. Very affordable menu options so it was perfect. It's a fun sports bar setting with lots of high table tops and regular ones as well. I wasn't a fan of their chilaquiles in the end though. The sauce was a bit too rancid for my liking and made my stomach upset a bit. I might try the green sauce next time tho and see if the outcome is better!

So like some mex places we didn't get complementary chips and salsa which was a bummer. So we ordered them. The chips were great though, thicker and salty, the dip was nice too. The drinks were all pretty good, no complaints there. The steak nachos was definitely a big portion, as was the birria quesadilla, it had a good amount of cheese in it. The fancy tacos were better than the crispy. They were a softer shell, the crispy tacos were more plain for sure, and messier. Overall we were satisfied.

Every time & everything fire!!!!! Kat is amazing & superb service

If you are in El Paso you have to visit here atleast once!!!! The food was so good the first time i had to come back before leaving time

We found Boozy Tacos on our way back home. What a surprise! A varietal pinata of great food & service! Ron, the manager & new server Haley were phenomenal! We tried the soupy tacos, one red & one green & they were an upgrade on Chico's! Hubby had crispy ground beef tacos & black beans. Both excellent. Porky black beans had a big hit of spice with chorizo & the portion was big. I had the loaded green chile pork tots. They were loaded with juicy tender shredded pork & their amazing avocado sauce. I was excited to see the inclusion of green chile on the menu being a Texan/New Mexican! The prices were reasonable & the portion size good. The bartender made a perfect custom margarita on the rocks too! Give this hip taco & tap sports bar a try!

Loved this place! I'm a huge sucker for mimosas and this place did not disappoint! $1 mimosas were made perfectly for me. The service was great, I loved the breakfast tacos. My husband had nachos which were a very nice, big portion. Overall great place for a really chill Sunday brunch!

Green potato, brisket, ground beef tacos and the fiesta shrimp fancy taco

I love very few things more than tacos and have to say this place was a total bust for me. The stars given were for the service and Tuesday specials more than anything. You know if the salsa comes out of a squeeze bottle it says something, and its not good. Tuesday specials are 1.50 tacos but they are crunchy "taco bell " style. Yes you can have your choice of chicken beef , brisket, pulled pork or green potato but the Shell tasted crunchy and chewy if that makes sense. I don't know if they used old tortillas that were about to go stale or what but not appetizing at all. I also ordered the "fancy" shrimp taco and it was ok. I'm not sure it tasted like shrimp. The beer came out cold in an iced muy so that was cool. Not barring the company I will not be ordering tacos from there. One of the guys at my table ordered steak nachos and those looked ok.

WILL YOU TAP OUT FROM THE TACOS AND DRINKS? You can choose your booze and enjoy it too! There is a patio with heaters and TVs for the big game that overlook the inside bar. Definitely feels like an ongoing fiesta with their fancy tacos and creative drinks. Now, let me show you just how fancy and boozy I really am. BBQ Brisket Taco: SOUTHERN SMOKE MEETS THE BORDER Smoky beef meets tangy Chiletpin BBQ sauce all smothered in a flour tortilla. Red onions and jalapenos provide a spicy sting, while the cheddar cheese and pickles help cool things down. This one is for the BBQ enthusiast and raging Texan spirit within you. Korean BBQ Taco: EAST AND SOUTH LIGHT UP THE MOUTH Spicy, sweet, and tangy teriyaki and chipotle aioli leaves a slow-burning kick on the tongue. So innocent looking but packs a violent punch. The spicy cabbage gives a fresh crunch that compliments the rich beef and crispy wonton strips. This one is for the Asian food lovers and daredevil adventurist within you. Steakhouse Taco: FANCY STEAKHOUSE IN A TACO AT 90% OFF Imagine a 3-course steakhouse meal as a taco taco that leaves layers of desire on your tongue. Tender beef in toreado steak sauce with creamy green chile mashed potatoes, grilled mushrooms, and onions. This one is for the bougie at heart with an empty wallet, but desires to dream. Arrachera Taco: MI TACO FAVORITO - THE SPIRIT OF MEXICO IN AMERICA WARNING - MAY LEAD TO FOOD COMAS. EAT RESPONSIBLY. DO NOT OPERATE HEAVY MACHINERY AFTERWARDS. Fire-grilled steak in a bed of spicy black refried beans, and earthy rajas & creamy cheese. Eat this hot and be tantalized by this savoury and umami combination. This one is for the one who is authentic until the end. Fish & Chips Taco: FILET O FISH DE LA GHETTO Beer-battered cod in a spicy tartar sauce on a bed of purple cabbage, pickled onion, and cilantro. Tasted like the leftovers of a taco Tuesday gone wrong. Fishy taste with bland slaw and soggy beer-battered cod (-1 star). This one is for the diehard fish fan, who wants fish tacos on a Wednesday. Diablo Shrimp Taco: FROM THE DEVIL HIMSELF Grilled shrimp bathed in a spicy chorizo and toreado steak sauce. The rajas con queso provided a creaminess that cooled everything down, while the cilantro kept it fresh and fragrant. This one is for the voices that dare us to be do before we think. Firecracker Shrimp Taco: KEEP BANGING Crispy shrimp that stays crunchy in a honey-sweet and tame firecracker sauce. Fresh and crunchy shredded carrot and charred crispy leeks keep this taco in balance. The sweetness is intense and really overwhelms everything (-1 star). This one is for those who want it sweet and savoury for life. Fiesta Shrimp Taco: HEATING UP Crispy shrimp in a creamy jalapeno sauce. The savoury is balanced by the earthy purple cabbage and cilantro, as well as the tangy pickled onion and spicy aioli. This one is for the one who does not know that they like spicy, but will go to the ends of the earth for it. The VERDICT: BE BOOZY AND CHOOSY AT THE SAME TIME Boozy Tacos and Tap is the after work place with a whole menu dedicated to tacos and drinks. Definitely stop by for their Taco Tuesday and Wednesday specials. Bring a coworker or two and really get to enjoy tacos and drinks. The Arrachera and Steakhouse Tacos were my favorite due to how filling they were and their powerful flavours and experiences. Avoid the fishy Fish & Chips taco or sleep with the fishes. Will definitely be back to experience more of their endless taco and drink menu.

Tacos were ok, not as good as we expected. Drinks were cheap, just took a bit to get to us although it was a decently empty lunch hour.

Had multiple thousand Google reviews and they were all close to five stars. So I knew I had to check it out. It was super close to my hotel, so I popped in the car and found it without trouble. Trouble. Again, there is pretty limited parking so it's kind of hit and miss whether you'll find a spot or not. Fortunately, I did. When you walk up to the place, the building itself is pretty nondescript. They have a nice selection of outside seating, and your window to order is outside. Very nice lady at the counter gave me helpful suggestions and so I ordered three tacos and an amazing lime and cucumber fresca. Went in and sat down inside and was pleasantly surprised by the interior. It definitely had more of an upscale bar vibe to it than a Taco shop. The waiter that brought out my tacos told me that it turns into more of a nightclub after hours. I may have to go check that out. The tacos themselves were absolutely off the chain! The tortillas were blue corn and everything on it tasted so fresh and so wonderful. The carnitas was fantastic, the brisket Taco was to die for and the blackened shrimp Taco was one of the best I've ever had. Had. The flavors were so balanced and on point, it was one of the most satisfying taco experiences I have had!! I will probably hit this place up a couple more times before I leave El Paso. If you are in El Paso, you probably already know about this place. But I'm telling you what you cannot go wrong for tacos and that lime/ cucumber fresca! Bottom line? It's about 10 hours drive from Las Vegas to El Paso. And this Taco shop will give me a great reason to do a road trip anytime. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out!

I bumped it up to four stars for the super friendly service and the excellent aguas frescas. We got there late, about an hour before closing and they were literally trying to get rid of the aguas for free. I guess they have to dump it if they don't use it all. It was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Portion sizes are good. The taco platter comes with six tacos! I had the flautas Chinampa which came with four beef flautas, beans, rice, and salad. I forgot, the taco platter even came with a baked potato. Prices were excellent. We had gone to McDonald's in the morning and spent more. They also cave us frijoles charros for free. Not sure if this was standard or if they were also trying to get rid of it. I would return for the service and the convenience, but if you're looking for life changing Mexican cuisine, it's not here. What you get is a good amount of decent food at a good price served by great people.

Boy do I love a good quesadilla! It was a love at first bite! The cheese was just oh so right. It was heaven between two tortillas. I quickly moved in on the tacos. I added some of the cilantro, green salsa, lime, and onions. The salsa was a little spicy but I savored every bite! It was a quite a delight! I gotta hand it to these guys, they make some great food! Beans and rice on the side are optional / modest extra charge - they are usually very good and worth adding if you're hungry enough. My favorite sauce is the Chipotle. They usually ask about that, but occasionally they might forget. Service is usually friendly and efficient even when they are busy. Your food is made to order, so it's fast but not instantaneous.
