This Boots sells all the usual things you would expect: medicines, make up, toiletries etc. They also have a large electrical range and a perfume counter with some really good offers on. This Boots isn't usually too busy because of its location and you don't usually need to queue long at the tills. Boots also run an advantage card system where you get 4 points for every pound you spend. These points can then be spent on items in Boots which have a star next to the price tag. I try to save my points up for Christmas and get quite a lot this way.

The store is only small but is a pharmacy mainly and supplies general goods such as baby food, nappies, milk etc. Also some mens wash products and a selection of ladies cosmetics and toiletries. There is the top brands such as lynx, no7, time delay stocked here but for the full ranges I recommend this a bigger store as I think this is ok if you are just passing and may have run out of a product. However all the staff are very friendly and will do anything to help with any problems or queries you may have. Also they dont stock many christmas lines during the festive period this is perhaps due to the store being small.

I then had to endure a string of Dreadful, awful, other local pharmacies. Cohen's chemist, the large one under the medical centre being the absolute worst anyone could ever imagine! I am a single disabled lady. with quite a large complicated list of regular monthly medications. This has been my first month with them, my prescription was ordered and collected in a very timely manner, without me needing to make 1 million phone calls. All 18 items were requested without any being missed off or left out. They were polite well mannered and extremely helpful and professional both on the phone and in person, and my medication was delivered to my door in a very timely manner with no problems what so ever. It has been 6 months, and 3 chemists since i have had a service this good, with no problems, and a chemist with staff and delivery service that rates 10/10.

There is an Opticians here too which is handy, to go alongside the regular services you'd find in a Boots. I do find shutting at 17:30 to be annoying, especially for such a large town. The only other branch nearby, which is ideal for late openings (Peel Centre Retail Park, Great Portwood Street) also closes at 17:30, so there is surely a need for a store which opens later in the area, especially for the essential Pharmacy services. I did find a lack of staff on the shop floor to be even more annoying, the only staff member I could find was a security guard at the front of the store, who was friendly but not helpful with finding certain items (That wasn't his job and I only asked him as there was no one else). 3* - If you can go into the city centre of Manchester, the Market Street store is much better, I actually had to go in there on my way home as I couldn't get what I needed here.

There was pleanty of staff on the tils and they were really efficent and helpful too. A great store definately one I will be going back too.

The store in Halton Lea is a small store but still manage to fit everything in and offer you as much as they can. They have a small chemist situated at the back of the store which i find runs very slow they offer you a ticket and ask you to come back 20-30 mins later. I find the store to be cheaper than some other stores on certain items but on others i find them to be more expensive. They don't mind if you don't buy anything, if you just browse, if you just want the kids feet measured even. They have a loyalty scheme for the kids - I think you can get 10% off. Their sales are quite good but the only thing that lets them down is that their prices are absolutely standard! Even their sales prices are the same every year, its set in stone i think! They sell the usual handbags and shoe cleaners but really their service is so good, always full of staff, always happy to help so I would recommend them.

There's never anyone queing up to buy plasters or toothpaste in this Boots, it's always ladies reluctantly forking out to replace their toiletries and make-up!
