The pharmacy has had a refit and it's a pretty good design now. They seem to be able to process prescriptions faster than average due to the new computer system and layout of the medications. The store itself doesn't have a huge range, it does however stock the basics and a few seasonal type products. There is no advantage machine in store and there are only a couple of tills. However as the store is hardly ever busy this isn't much of a problem. The staff members are all friendly and polite.

The pharmacy is run at a good speed with the wait time being better than the Lloyds near by. And they have an automatic door, which is great when pushing a buggy. They have a little food section at the back for lunches.

I had to insist on an itemised receipt and was told most people round here don't have insurance - they just pay up in cash. They charged me £48.80 for tablets that cost less than £40 at Boots which is 5 mins away down the Kings Road. Shudder to think how many trusting, vulnerable neighbourhood customers just pay these prices unwittingly.

A few times I just leave it and pick up the next day. There are times when the pharmacist discusses your meds with you right out in the open, although this doesn't overly bother me, if I had a sensitive condition I don't know if I'd be that impressed. Out the back, they also dump huge amounts rubbish and trash which can't be nice for the residents around here. But in the main, efficient service and drugs in stock. I should be taking out shares in pharmaceutical companies. Superdrug is one such destination, and this branch is very conveniently located in the shopping centre adjoining Clapham Junction station. It's reasonably sized, so has a fair choice of cosmetics, toiletries and over-the-counter medicines. It's also cheaper than Boots, although the surroundings also feel a bit more basic. The staff I encountered were helpful in an unhelpful sort of way. I wanted an expectorant, but was told they didn't have any - yet many of the 'chesty cough' mixtures do contain expectorant. They seemed keen for me to buy one particular product, but in the end I chose something different, and the salesperson became equally keen on that. A bit more discernment would have earned an extra star.

I realise no-one will trek to Caledonian road especially for a pharmacy if they don't live in the area ...but if you DO live near here, it's a happy, chatty local business and worth supporting.
