They encourage you to sample drinks before buying, which is great especially since some options are quite unique, and sampling helps you pick something you'll enjoy. Bootleggers has a cozy, neighborhood bar feel, which I really appreciate. It's a spot for locals rather than tourists. A lot better than most, if not everything, in the Orlando area, but still a little shy of being outstanding. I had seen this brewing spot while driving along the Causeway and always wanted to stop. Today, I finally did--and I loved it! They have a great variety of beers, excellent service, a nice atmosphere, and a well-kept establishment. They also have an outdoor area. If you like coquito, they have a beer called La Familia that tastes just like Puerto Rican coquito. The selection is impressive, so I'll probably be back to try more. We have been wanting to stop by their new location . We used to go to their prior location and make batches of beer. On this visit I was inquiring about some of the staff that I remembered from back in the day. Low and behold Dan and Shawn were on the porch and we got to reconnect after having not seen them in several years. The new venue is spacious with both inside and outside seating. We were there on a Saturday night and while the place was busy there was still room for us to sit at the bar and enjoy a few brews and some wings. All orders placed at the counter and the bartender brings out food. We went with the loaded nachos and I had a flight of beers to see what I liked. Nachos were excellent, as were all 4 beers I had. Decor is interesting, but nothing to write home about. Lack of table service keeps this from a full 5 stars. My brother and I were looking for a brewery in the Brandon/Riverview area for a chill bro night. We settled on Bootleggers because it was close-by. We arrived to a pretty busy tap room. We walked through the middle of open-mic night right as a guy was beginning his comedy routine. No one was sitting at the bar. The bartender was friendly and greeted us but told us she would be back over to help once she finished the line that formed at the end of the bar. A similar situation to the last time I visited. We waited. Luckily, the bartender fended off other customers to finally help us. She was friendly and got us our beers quick. I initially wanted a flight but it seemed chaotic and not comfortable in here. We enjoyed our beers. I had a dunkel and I forget what my brother got. We were also interested in food and I remember looking over their menu and was looking forward to that. Until I saw the sign that said food was only on certain days. No fault to Bootleggers Brewing for having events to bring in business, that's what your supposed to do. Unfortunately, open mic night wasn't for us. Our time here was spent sipping our beer and listening to a man yell into a microphone. We finished our beers and headed out. They have a decent tap list and I would like to try their other brews. This place is located in area with a lot of choices. I originally wasn't going here, but something called me to Bootleggers. Maybe it was to try a new beer, or maybe to find my new favorite place to eat in this retail space. Upon walking in, it was empty and I was wondering if I made the right call. The bartender quickly greeted us and explained everything. With so many great, fresh, on site brewed beers, the only smart decision is to get a flight. I got the Italian Grinder and my wife selected the Panini. I hear the Pastrami is the way to go. As we got our food the place began to fill up. There are seats at the bar, a few tables up front some along the side, a couple upstairs, and a nice deck out back. Bonus: You can also purchase some of your favorite pours in cans prior to leaving. We stopped by on a Friday night before it was too busy. It was seat yourself and order at the counter and they bring it to you. We ordered a flight ($14.00) of peanut butter sammich, carrot cake, o bejeezus, and burlesque brown along with a pretzel ($11.99), wings ($11.99) and brisket sliders ($13.99). We were hopping we could do a slider sampler but they would not do that. Our drinks came out quickly and we decided the peanut butter sammich and the burlesque brown were our favs. We enjoyed the briskets sliders with coleslaw very much. The pretzel with the horseradish mustard and cheese was also very good. The wings were small but had good flavor. We ate inside but the offer seating outside in the back also. The also have an interesting window into the kitchen you pass on the way to the restrooms. They have a shelving unit of T-shirts and growlers for sale. We did get a Burlesque Brown growler ($17.00) to bring home. We will be back to try other beer and the pastrami sliders. read more

The Peanut Butter Sammich is legit here!! The best thing about getting to breweries right when they open, great conversations with the bartenders (cause you're the only ones there) and generally additional tastings because brewery people just can't help them self but brag and wanna share the tastiness! Nothing wrong with that!! Sunday play off game. We decided to give this place a try, it's our first time here. It's a nice cool place. It's very quiet for a Sunday game. As we walked in The bartender handed us a beer menu from the bar and said we can sit wherever we want to. Nice! We get to sit wherever we want. Yay!! The game was on but no sound. We asked the bartender why.. he said the audio wasn't hook up and that he doesn't know how. Oh well. Then we asked if we can get the food menu.... Again the bartender handed us the menu and said... all we have is some flatbread and wings and nothing else. What!?!?! I was hoping for more. It's a cool place but kinda disappointed that we couldn't anything besides wings and some flatbread. I don't know if it's because they have no staff. Always searching for a brewery when I travel and Bootleggers popped up in my Yelp search, close enough to the hotel to make it easy. Located in a "strip mall" setting, a very nice experience. Rachael was super sweet and has a very fun and attentive personality; you'll get personalized service. Go here, you'll see what I mean. Hard to believe they opened in 2020, during the bug business, bold move and a worthy journey. Great beer selection and the food menu has plenty to satisfy anyone's needs. The setting is very cool, industrial, and lean. I suppose time of year had the outdoor patio closed, or maybe just evening hours, but there was plenty of seating inside, and above the bar in the loft. TVs a plenty and a large projector image on one wall, for those who want/need the TV exposure. The Black IPA paired beautifully with my meat flatbread, and a side of delicious potato salad. I had a couple more beers, the American Pale Ale is a nice drinker. Bonus, live music on this Wednesday night, with a splash of open mic. Great place, great grub and grog, and Rachael takes care of business. The "chef", checked on everyone who was eating to "see how everything was", very nice. I'll be back, thank you! read more

I was invited to the soft opening for the new Bootleggers Brewing and was pleasantly surprised how huge the new space is! From the VIP "balcony" above the main bar to the beer garden outback! I definitely give this place 5 stars! I have watched them go form a small shop to a large brewery and they know exactly what they are doing. On the night of soft opening I didn't go a second without a beer! The beer tenders were super attentive and you could tell they had their stuff together. The beer...mmmm... I have to say I'm a fan of if the Bootlegers Peanut Butter Sammich and the Bootleggers Ice cream sammich! Pro Tip: Ask the beer-tender to give you 1/2 and 1/2!
