My dad ordered a hot dog and their panini tots. He said they were both good. Would definitely visit again. It was too windy to sit outside, but it looked like a great place to sit and relax!

They're adjoined with the Tryon Palace visitor center right there in downtown New Bern, so likely they're convenient for you. They have a decent, slightly obstructed view of the water but you can walk about 50 feet and be right on it. There is a large private parking lot, so no worries on that either. In general, the sandwiches there are darn good, and the few sides we tried (dill potato salad, and their pasta salad) were excellent. My reuben on marbled rye was straight up delicious, and you order yours based on how much meat you want on it. They use Boar's Head meats here, which while I think sometimes that is overblown, you can count on that level of quality. The thing though is this, it's gonna be a pricey lunch. They are full service, so count on tipping. Their prices for sandwiches are higher than what I'm accustomed to, even with my standards adjusted for the current life of everything be expensive that we live in in 2026. Chalk that up to waterfront dining and high rent I would imagine. In any case, if the sandwich didn't live up to the price, I wouldn't give it a 5. Tasted great, service was excellent, overall a very enjoyable lunch. Would return!

Came here for dinner while staying in New Bern. They have military memorabilia on display so…read morethought it was perfect for veterans. Ironically they do not offer a veteran discount. Ceilings were covered with draping American flags that had a cool visual effect. They have an extensive whiskey menu and a nice selection of local brews on tap. I tried one of the local brews: Beerista, a white stout from Shortway Brewing Company. It had a good nose of coffee and vanilla but it wasn't carried through on the sip. It was a lot lighter in texture than a traditional stout. For food I had the short rib. It was seasoned well and was super tender. The side of potatoes were tasty but on the border of being too salty. Green beans were average. They were good to counter the saltiness from the potatoes. I'd probably would give this place another shot if nearby.

My sister in law got the pork pot stickers, the appetizer for her main meal and hers came out after everyone else's was served by 12 mins or more. the wings were salty. My brother got the reveille and it was delicious. The jalapeno poppers were good, just need to be cooked a little more. I was sadden that I took a group to try it before I tried it prior. Would not try again unless had a coupon in case it ends up the same service way

One of the places open on Monday night in New Bern. I went because I met the owner the night…read morebefore at MJs and she told us about Cork and the amazing lobster rolls. I went because that sounded really good. Pro Tip: They only sell lobster rolls on Sunday. It appears food cost are rising and the orders don't fully justify the expense in the customers eyes. The menu still looked good so I stayed. Olivia was my server and she was great. Super knowledgeable about the menu with great suggestions. I wanted the brussel sprouts but was a little reluctant because of the beets. She said it was good and give it a try. I glad I did what a treat. The brussels were lightly fried. The real treat was the flavor profile. The bitterness of the brussels, pickled sweetness of the beets, creaminess of the goat cheese with the crunch of the pecans....wow. So good and it was lightly dressed with the pickling liquid. I went with the jerk salmon for the entree. The salmon was cooked perfect and had a nice crust on it. It was served with a citrus (mango forward) salsa on top of jasmine coconut rice. It is all a great idea and the combo was good. Only feedback was the red bell peppers seemed out of place and took away from the dish and the jasmine rice was a little too bland. I could taste the hint of coconut which was good but some seasoning or a touch of salt on the rice would have paired great with the salmon and orange glaze. Over a gem in New Bern with great service.
