I thought Red Ribbon was going to be another one of those stores that frustrates me, because either the clothes are too expensive or too small for me to fit in. When I first walked in, I thought it looked like such a nice store. It was kind of dim, with spotlights. The hardwood floors were dark, and the clothes looked eclectic. I started looking through one rack of shirts, and I was kind of shocked to see plain cotton shirts selling for $70. I kept looking through different racks, and what I started to notice was that the prices really varied. There were a lot of very expensive clothes, but there was also some very affordable clothes. I didn't see that many bigger sizes, but I eventually came across two really cool shirt dresses in my size. I tried them on, and the black on fit perfectly. And the best part was that it was marked down from $69 to $35! I couldn't believe what a good deal that was for such a nice shirt. I noticed on the receipt that this store only offers store credit or exchanges, but I am quite sure I won't be returning this shirt. They also had some awesome purses and bags, but these were well over a hundred dollars. I love this store, and I would give it five stars, if they carried more larger sizes. I will definitely be stopping by here quite often from now on.

Our chosen fabric would take 6-8weeks (not including final fitting) but another fabric choice would have been closer to 3-5weeks. Also the fabric people take a month off in the summer - usually August he said so he said if you do not order Before August it will be a 4 week wait for them to be able to order again. Overall we did not go with a custom blazer from here, due to the price but maybe one day! The other clothing sold here is very high end = pricey. The light fleece jackets were discounted 75% off but they weren't very thick and warm. The sale signs were confusing as some of the racks had a sign on one side but nothing on the other. I brought a top I wanted to the cash to find out the price and was happy that it was 75% off. I only got a men's button up shirt for 60% off and only $14. Good deals on lots of different types of clothes, quality isn't great but you get what you pay for. The sales associates were doing their best to organize and sort the clothes but there was items misplaced and a little disorganized. It would be great if they installed price checkers so it's easy to know the prices without bringing them to the cash. The store wasn't very busy which was great and it was after 6PM which could have made a difference. Most of the cash registers were open and there was less than 8 people in front of us so it moved fast. Often the Old Navy in WEM has a line up to the back of the store when there's a sale. I've also shopped online when I was desperate, but between the exchange rate, extreme shipping costs, and the custom fees... you end up paying twice as much. The quality of Torrid's clothing though makes it almost worth it. So when we heard this store would be opening in December, I lost my mind! I chose to attend the grand opening of this location (The first in Edmonton) on December 10th. I was happy with the selection, though the Torrid website still holds much more than what you'll find in store. I expected the prices to be a little higher (thanks to the crappy exchange rate), but was still surprised with how high some of it was. I would put the prices on par with Addition Elle, which is a shame. But be sure to sign up for their emails and you'll get lots of deals and coupons sent to you!! The staff were absolutely fantastic while dealing with a group of excited shoppes. Honestly, they never looked stressed or overwelmed. I don't know what kind of training they go through to be able to handle that so well, but I think everyone should be made to train with them for a day before ever dealing with customers!

Not only were there enough staff members to serve our needs but they were able to find us some excellent items and direct us to items that fit him the way that he wanted them to fit. Certainly there are only very few Big & Tall Mens Wear stores in Edmonton (and only two George Richards Big & Tall Mens Wear locations) but this one was most excellent. The entrance is outside the mall (park on the eastern side of Safeway). This location has a lot of different garment options available including more formal wear and more casual options. I would definitely return here with my significant other should we need other similar options in the future.
