Matt resoled a couple of my welted boots and not only did an excellent job but he was accomadating and affordable as well. Once I learned to order footwear on line, I just kept on. So many shoe store chains keep a limited supply of sizes in the store, based on some ancient 1950s idea of the most common sizes. DSW, I'm looking at you, because men's 10E is just not that unusual in 2025. This shop is the opposite, they have all sorts of sizes in stock, and all sorts of boots. More importantly for me, they sell a variety of shoe strings. Nobody sells shoe strings anymore. Friendly, helpful, with a big parking lot and a giant boot outside. read more

I bought my first grown-up cowgirl boots this week to celebrate my birthday...It was my first visit to the Boot Connection. The service was great, I cannot remember his name, but he was very helpful. They have a ton of boots of the cowboy persuasion (As well as work and motorcycle boots...and of course Moccasins). As the name suggests...They are a boot store and don't carry a whole lot else. You locate your size and then dig through the selves. The excitement of finding your boots match in the pile is palpable. As is, I'm sure the pure agony, of a boot with no match. From basic black and brown, to pink and purple, shiny to worn in, toned down to flashy. Prices range but it seemed the median was about $150.00 for a nice pair. I saw an amazing white snake skin embellished pair (There may have been rhinestones) for $500.00 and others for under $100.00. They have buy a pair get the second half-off so bring a friend or an insatiable appetite for boots. I must have tried on every available pair in my size and even shoved my tootsies into some that weren't all with no evil eye from the staff. I felt very welcome.....And clearly, a Boot Connection was indeed made. read more

A quick review: I needed new workboots. Generally, it's a huge pain in the butt for me to find boots because I have sorta a weird size, and I'm sorta picky about the look of my boots. I was ready to go store to store trying to find something, anything, to replace my old pair, which was falling apart. This was the quickest boot shopping experience of my life. About 2 weeks ago, I brought in two pairs of dress shoes...one pair needed to be shined and a scuff filled in on one of the shoes, and the other shoes needed to be resoled. I was given a claim ticket and was told to call back last Thursday to see if they would be ready for pickup. I needed these for Monday, as I was starting a new job. I called as I was told to do, and they told me that the one pair was done & the others would be done by Tuesday. Tonight I went in and the pair that needed to be shined and the scuff removed filled in was not to my satisfaction, I reluctantly paid for them. And the pair that needed to be resoled was not even completed as I was told "He could not fix them, you can wear them like they are, or just throw them away." Really?! I asked the guy working if it was so difficult to call seven digits to let me know that they could not be completed so I could find someone else in the area that might be able to work on them in a timely manner. I even asked him if he knew of anyone else in the area that might be able to work on them, his response was "I don't know?!" Seriously, I thought that this place was well recognized and appreciated in the area for many years. After this experience, I have to wonder why. They may have the best selection of boots in the area, but their customer service can kiss my ass. I don't think I will ever patronize them again in any way, shape, or form. Thanks for nothing Boot Connection, I will be all to happy to patronize another location that gives a damn. read more

How weird that Cassie D would mention the agony of being at the Boot Connection and finding the perfect boot and then realize it didn't have it's better half. Because that is exactly what happened to me yesterday. OK.....so maybe we were there together and she stole my Boot Connection experience to make her review sound better! I went in not expecting to leave with a pair of boots. But, really.....how can anyone pass up the offer of Buy One Pair get A Second Pair Half Off? You can't pass it up!!! So, I immediately found the one lonely boot tucked in the corner that was calling my name (except of course for the pink stitching, but I looked past that because they were so me). I looked and looked for the other boot, but was having no luck. The guy working, whose name I also forgot, was extremely helpful, got down on his hands and knees looking for me. After no luck, he gave me the bad news that the boot was no longer made and couldn't not be ordered. Since it was also my first pair of big girl boots he suggested I try a size bigger and explained how the boot should feel on my feet. I took his suggestion and went home with a brand new pair of brown leather and pink stitch cowboy/riding boots. Now, to find a country bar to wear them too! Overall, I felt extremely welcome, although at first I was a bit nervous. Like everyone was going to stop what they were doing and stare at us when we walked in cause they knew we weren't Boot people. Friendly Staff, Clean Store, Huge Selection. If I could assign "zero" stars, I would. On November 22, 2013, I took my boots in for a simple cleaning. Two weeks later on December 6, 2013 when I still had not heard from them, I went in to pick them up. The angry man behind the counter said he only had "three cobblers" so no one had cleaned them yet. He also said, "look, people usually wait at least a month before we can get to them." A month? Really? I don't know anyone who can give away their footwear for a month without a problem. Thank goodness there are footwear professionals in their area. I took my boots just down the road. They cleaned them and I picked them up five hours later. Great customer service and knowledgeable staff, I didn't feel intimated being a plus size senior, with bad knees and swollen feet. I was greeted by a pleasant young man, who didn't roll his eyes or snear at me and had a good feeling I would fine some work shoes/boots here. The smell of leather gives me a comforting feeling as I was reminded of the days I rode horses. The selection of boots is astonishing, they even have Harley boots, Moccasins, although I preferred a shoe (which they have a very large selection). He actually measured my feet, like they did back in the good old days. I sat down on a stool and he sat on that chair with the foot rest on and helped slid that wonderful (really leather shoe) on. They were mens but the shoes are made very well and look nice. They even have a cobbler shop that does repairs. I was so happy that I found two pairs of Red Wing shoes and have vowed I would make this place my new shoe store and tell all my friends. I even wore a pair out of the store, they are so comfortable.
