Not a lot of variety. Staff isn't as friendly as the people over at cavenders. They did have better deals here and a large selection of size 11 (women's) and 13 (for men) so that was nice. My only complaint is that I had to sit on the floor to try on boots, not a lot of seating period. I don't really have much to say on this place except "meh". It's near la Cantera so worth a stop but I think I'll keep checking out other places. read more

Been shopping at this Boot Barn for the last 6-8 months and have yet to have less than 2 associates ask if I need help. Selection is a little slim on something compared to the bigger Boot Barns like the one on Ingram but love they have a Military Discount and their rewards program can save you money in the long run. Had built up quite a bit of points that transfered into $15 off that they will stack and I did a purchase review that gave me another $5 they stacked and ended up saving over $70 between the $ off coupons and the military discount. The manager was the rudest person I've ever met. She deserves a zero star for this place. She has zero customer service skills. My mother in law went there to exchange a gift and the manager wasn't just rude she was nasty. She treated my mother in law as inferior, called her a liar and didn't want to give her a return for her gift that was purchased there. Don't shop here unless you want to be treated like garbage. The other women there was genuinely trying to help but the manager intervened and told her not to give my mother in law anything for her return. Only $8 was offered for $98 jeans that failed before wearing. The manager accused my mother in law of mistreating the jeans, but was wrong and assuming. Don't buy anyone a gift here on sale and give it to them 30 days post purchase or else you will have an experience like ours. Buying on sale will not pay off here if giving as a gift. read more

Not very happy with Boot Barn! I had an event that I was going to but needed a pair of black boots. Since I had a gift card I went into the location at the Rim they hand nothing in my size. So I went to the location on 410 by Ingram Mall. While they didn't have the boot I wanted in Black I tried on the exact same one in a different color. Perfect! I knew they would fit so I went online and ordered a pair of Justin full quill ostrich boots in black and a matching belt. They arrived in the store rather quickly (4 days) I picked them up and they didn't fit. I understand boots are hand made and there might be some differences between pairs. But this was so extreme that I could even get my foot down the throat of the boot. So I went back to Boot Barn at the Rim hoping they would have something that would fit. Didn't get that far, the young man that was helping while nice, jumps the gun and did a return as soon as he found my order online. Sad to say is they didn't have ANY full quill ostrich boots in black and now he tells me that the refund will take 3-7 days and they would and me a gift card in the mail. That doesn't help me now! I wasn't expecting to give me cash or credit my credit card but most stores put the balance on a gift card immediately upon return of the merchandise. With Boot Barn I have to wait a week to get the gift card and and then order a different pair online and wait 4-6 days to have them shipped. My event is this weekend. So now thanks to their poor return procedures I have no boots and no gift card. I sure as hell am not going to spend any more of my money here while I wait for the gift card. My husband and I just went into this location to return three pair of FR work jeans he had purchased and no longer needed. We no longer had the receipt so asked for store credit instead of cash back. The manager on duty stated he didn't know what he could do because for all he knew the jeans were stolen. I've NEVER been accused of shoplifting in my 46 years of life and will NEVER shop at another Boot Barn for as long as I live! We are an FFA family with four boys and two grandsons so we go through a lot of boots and jeans, too. Will tell everyone I know about this experience. I only gave one star for the rating because I couldn't give zero. read more

Went for boots for my middle son, and ended up buying boots for all three of my sons. Got up to the cashier who was super sweet, but an older lady was helping her and was very rude to us. She implied that my family was the type of people that buy things, wear, and then take them back, all because my husband asked her to please keep our tags, in front of a whole line of people no less.( the boys wanted to wear their new boots out of the store) I was so embarrassed, and felt like trash. We bought them, and didn't even leave the store but took them back right then and there. That was the first and last time my family will ever go to a Boot Barn. I'd rather give our money to one of the many other boot establishments. Beware: if you wear your boots out of the store, they won't take them back! It's also printed on their receipt.
