Although I made it so close to closing, there was not one moment where I felt rushed. I already had an idea of what I wanted, but they still brought out three other pairs of shoes to try. They asked me questions, were very attentive to my needs, and offered suggestions. Apparently, I had been getting the wrong sized shoes for years. After their help with proper sizing and fitting, the shoes I purchased are the most comfortable walking/running shoes I have ever owned. Im not a runner and I'm a bit out of shape, but I have been taking walks in the shoes and I can feel myself wanting to run because the shoes are so comfortable. Fast forward a week after my purchase I saw my shoes were on sale and saw on the card that they offered price matching. I called the store and they immediately honored the price match from the phone call as I sat comfortably at home! I am very satisfied with my purchase. The assistant manager, Makenna, was helping me. She proceeded to try and scratch the black marks off. She told me it was "fuzz" and suggested it was fine. Upon looking at them it was clear it wasn't fuzz and she had scratched the shoe. I asked if she could check the inventory to see if they had another pair I could swap them out for. She told me I could go and look myself. I asked for a refund for both pairs of shoes. She said she did it but said she couldn't give me a receipt for it. She stated it would come via email. The email never came. When I asked when I should expect the email or if there was anyway she could print me a paper reveipt she just stared at me. POOR customer service from the assistant manager and when she was asked questions she said "I don't know what you want me to do" or "I don't know" or "you'll just have to wait for the receipt". I ended up having to go through my credit card to ensure I was refunded my money. I'll certainly take my money elsewhere.

I understand each business that opens during The Coronavirus has certain rules they must follow but DSW by FAR has the strictest, most unusual social distancing of any store I have been in. There were arrows tapped to the floor and you could only go ONE WAY down the rows. Also, there was only ONE CUSTOMER allowed per aisle. AND no trying on shoes in the aisles. I came in just to check out the clearance rack for a pair of shoes for my husband. Just getting to the back was hectic and a bit stressful. Then I went to check out some clearance shoes for myself and OOOPS! I went the wrong way down a ONE WAY aisle. (Luckily I didn't get busted!) Some positives were that there were very few customers in the store and that the staff were friendly. I did end up finding my husband a pair of sneakers on clearance! I'll have to come back once the virus is over. It wasn't an enjoyable shopping experience with all the precautions this store is taking.

It seems small compared to other Nordstrom Racks I've been to. However they have a decent variety of things, women's coats and jackets, active wear, pants, tops/blouses, intimate apparel. After some perusing, I found what I had came for. The quality of the outfit didn't look as good as it did online. Nonetheless I grabbed it and a couple other blouses and tried everything on in the fitting room. They had an attendant at the fitting room who was helpful and it was easy to get in and out of the dressing room. The checkout process was fairly quick and when asked the cashier let me know what their return policy was. I had until January (it was earlier this week when I purchased my items, so early November), with the receipt, all tags, and the items obviously never worn. I'm not sure if this is their usual return window or a special one for the holidays but its more than enough time to return something if you need to and I did so this was helpful. When I returned my items a couple hours later, after finding something that better fit my needs, the return process was a breeze and they refunded my money back to my original form of payment.

While browsing in the kids' section, I noticed a woman, who later identified herself as the manager, following me around the store. After I moved to the back, she sat down and continued watching me for about 10 minutes while I shopped. I eventually approached her and asked if she was following or watching me. She said no. I then asked if she was the manager, and she confirmed that she was. When I asked for her name, she refused to provide it and told me I didn't need to know. As a Black college graduate, an English teacher, and a mother of three, I found this experience extremely upsetting and disrespectful. I was treated as if I were doing something wrong when I was simply shopping for my family. No customer should feel singled out or profiled in this way. I completed my purchase and left, but the entire situation left a lasting negative impression. I hope this location takes this seriously and addresses how customers are treated moving forward.
