I arrived at 1:25 on Sunday to buy a pair of either Croc or Caiman boots plus jeans and more I left at 1:45 not having seen anyone in the Boot dept for help. In fact no matter one came to the boot area at all. A cashier greeted me when i came in so they knew i was there. After not getting service i headed to leave and i got a flippant thanks for shopping and i explained that I came to buy and that i was leaving due to lack of help. To that i got" oh well". No wonder the store was empty. Horrible service or at least staffing. read more

I would NOT recommend shopping here at this location. Lisa lacked empathy and customer service skills that all boot barn employees should have. The store employee Lisa made it difficult to exchange boots that she gave in the wrong size. I had asked for a size 8 and was given a 8.5 size bigger. Instead of working with me to rectify the issue, she made it her mission to let me leave without getting the right size boots even though it would have been a quick and simple exchange. I will be returning my boots at a different location where I hope the employee are more understanding and will take my business to Cavenders. read more

I've had two very different experiences here in the last two weeks. I bought a new pair of boots and the two staff members who were around went above and beyond! Genuinely nice and helpful. The second time was the complete opposite, I went in looking for a hat. Was barely greeted and the rest of the 15ish minutes I was in looking I didn't get asked if I needed help, or have any communication. The store was not busy. Maybe I didn't appear as if I was going to purchase anything, maybe the color of my skin, but the goal was to purchase a hat that day. I'm not sure. They absolutely lost out on a sale due to lack of doing their job. As a former retail manager I was disappointed in the lack of basic job performance. read more

Stopped in to look at boots and jeans. Didn't carry the boots I was looking for but did find the jeans. Selection at this location is okay as far as jeans. Not so good for boots. Customer service is horrible. Several workers standing around the store chit chatting. When you walk by them they make sure not to make eye contact, guessing they are afraid you may ask for help. Needed to get a dressing room unlocked. I had to hunt down an employee. Found five of them sitting at the front just talking and joking around. I will most definitely not return to this location. There are too many other places in the DFW area with better selections and a lot better customer service. read more

The store manager and her minion have got to be 2 of thee worst leadership type people ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They are extremely rude to their employees and snotty/snappy with their customers after having to be forced to come out of the back of the store which is where they presumably hibernate. I have been to this store a ton of times and cannot count how many times I've heard "managers are in the back let me get them for you". My last visit to this deplorable store was the assistant manager giving an employee a verbal lashing in front of a line full of customers. This made a super awkward checkout and was down right demeaning to the employee. Its a wonder this ship has stayed afloat with the level of incompetence radiating from this poorly ran store management. The only positive thing to say about this store is the fact these sales associates run around like crazy trying to make of for managements lack of work ethic. Had a coupon for 15% off over 100.00. Cool ! I was never asked if I needed help so I asked a girl at the register about a hat size. Told me I don't know I'll have to ask the other lady there. The other lady ( manager I guess) never acknowledged me, no I'll be with you in a minute. Nothing ! I waited longer than I should have only because of the coupon. After ten minutes I left. I've bought two pairs (Ariat & Justin) of steel toed boots in the last 2 to 3 weeks that just haven't fit my feet right. This location has had no problem with me making an exchange both times I've gone back. This last time I was there I ran into Salesman / Employee - Danny who gave me his thoughts on different work boots and ultimately led me to a great pair of Twisted X boots. What I was most impressed with is these boots were moderately priced compared to other models they have. Nonetheless he vouched for these which created a great customer service experience because they're great boots. I'll gladly return in the future. read more

Went into the store to make a large purchase, the employees were just standing around avoiding eye contact and not asking me if I needed help. I just needed helping finding a size of jeans for my wife and a pair of boots for my 7 month old son along with a few other items! By the time I was able to finally get the attention of an employee, it was because my son got fussy and was crying due to being hungry, instead of asking if I needed any help, I was asked if I could quite my son down because apparently I was disturbing the employees chit chat and gossip that I could over hear! A lot of the gossip was very very inappropriate to be having around customers! When I asked to speak to a manager someone who said their name was Juliana(wasn't for sure if that's her real name because she covered up her name tag before I could see the name on it) she grabbed a young lady named Hailey who was literally the one who told me to quite down my son!!!!! If she is a manager she is a bad example! I ended up saying never mind and walked away! As I walked away I could hear he start raising her voice in a very condescending tone to a younger male employee and asking if he needed someone to hold his hand while doing a simple task, all while she was gossiping with the other girl the whole time about certain private interactions that happen in the privacy of a bedroom! I later asked another employee if I bought a hat who could shape it for me and they called up this Hailey woman again and when I showed her a picture of the way my dad used to wear his hat, she scuffed and said "are you sure you want it to look like?" Again I repeat, if she is a manager then bootbarn needs to reevaluate who they hire and exactly what example that they want to set because that woman is neither a leader nor a lady who deserves to be in a "family friendly" store like bootbarn, much less as a individual of management! I had easily about $1,500 worth of clothes, boots and other items in my hand and I just set them down, walked out and went to cavenders where I had a 20 times better experience! I will never shop here again in my life! And I'm sure that no one will read this review much less the people that need to be concerned with this review like bootbarn's corporate office, their other store managers or even their district manager! Never ever ever shop her! Will have the worse experience of your life here especially if you are a dad who brings their kids into the store! Decent selection of shirts and boots, but very disappointing as far as men's jeans. They had three pair in total of Wrangler 20 X in the entire store... The most popular pair of jeans in the modern era. Pretty limited in Cinch jeans as well. Doesn't bode well for their male shoppers. There weren't many sales people on the floor as well, so you always had to go hunt one down to let you in a changing room. Makes me appreciate their major competitor that starts with a C more and more. read more

What a great group of people that work at this location, stopped in after dinner Friday evening to get our boot shopping on, my girlfriend and I felt immediately at home and comfortable as we were greeted at the door by Misty. Her and her Co worker (sorry I can't recall her name) were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our time in the store. They gave genuine input to each of us, each of them went out of their way to provide excellent customer service and fit everything within our budget. The workers are rude specially the blonde one yelled at me from across the store just because I dropped the bell. There no hospitality we weren't even welcomed when we came into the establishment. We were in the back and we weren't even help for the 30 minutes we were here. Everyone seems like they hate there job and life having a frown isn't pretty.
